Following an issue we had on a recent holiday I contacted the team and they investigated and resolved everything in a very timely, efficient and friendly manner. I cannot fault the service received.
My thanks to Pauline, Gaynor and Alexia who were all fantastic, very apologetic and understanding of the situation and keen to make sure that we were happy with the outcome ( which we were) so thank you very much.

Discover Access asked me to clarify in this review that "the experience relates to your parents and that the matter was ultimately concluded."
To be clear, while it was my parents who signed the agreement, this review reflects my own experience managing the cancellation and ensuring a full refund was issued. I had signed authority to deal directly with Discover Access. The matter was ultimately concluded only after I challenged Discover Access using distance selling regulations and involved my bank, which refused to uphold their appeal on a chargeback. Once the bank refunded the amount, Discover Access agreed to cancel the contract. I also want to make it clear that this resolution only came after multiple refusals by Discover Access to comply.
---------------------------------------------------
I want to warn others about the experience with Discover Access.
The contracts appear to be structured to maximise payment. Customers are encouraged to sign a longer agreement (which legally carries a 14-day cooling-off period), but at the same time a shorter contract — just under a year — is also signed. This shorter contract is then presented as non-cancellable, seemingly in an attempt to retain some payment if the customer later decides to exercise their cancellation rights on the longer agreement. Many reviews mention people signing simply to get out of the sales environment, intending to cancel later once they have had time to think clearly.
I was initially told that the shorter contract could not be cancelled. That is incorrect. I exercised my legal right to cancel within the cooling-off period and successfully obtained a full refund.
If you are approached in the street and sign up, even after being taken back to their offices, distance selling regulations apply. By law, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period. The length of the contract does not remove your statutory cancellation rights simply because it is under a year.
Simply stating within a contract that it is “non-cancellable” does not override statutory consumer rights. Any term that attempts to do so is not legally enforceable.
If you have recently signed and are within 14 days, do not assume you are stuck — check your legal rights and act quickly.
I hope this helps others who are now researching this company after being caught up in their sales tactics.
A2L now use this generic booking system instead of me sending emails with enquiries, however, A2L reply by email.....???
have to say though, there's good communication, they keep you updated and the booking experience is very good.
The Mayflower Hotel is a very good 3 star hotel, good bedrooms, very clean (but they need to invest in new towels.....immediately!) check in and staff experience is overall very good, very pleasant and helpful. Personally i would revamp the breakfast area and the boring bar area into one big more inviting area, do away with the oversized reception and communal seating area and make everything more open and inviting......just a thought!

The staff at Discover Access dealt with our enquiry promptly (after we were badly let down by Booking.com). They promptly found us suitable accommodation last minute.

This was our first time booking a holiday via Discover Access. Mia Klindo was extremely helpful with our search for the right holiday for us, and we are off to Pathos in April :-)

After visiting las calas in lanzarote we came away highly delighted. The resort was immaculately clean and facilities were of a very high standard. Food at the restaurant was very nice and the bar was adequate and provided good entertainment. Enjoyed the gym and swimming in the pools. There is plenty to see on the island and cannot wait to return.

Approached on the street and taken in to a hotel with no clear understanding about what we were being taken to. Explained that I was hard of hearing and failed to grasp the full presentation. Asked for details in writing to study at leisure but was told this was not possible. Started to feel being put under pressure and that the only correct thing to do was to back out. This may well be a good deal but the lack of detail in writing gave me severe cause for concern as was the compulsion to sign on the spot with no opportunity to consider at leisure.
Adding following your reply. I did not suggest that there was pressure applied I said I began to FEEL under pressure because I couldn’t hear what was being said most of the time. My main point of hearing loss and not getting fully to grasp with your presentation and not having the option of studying something in writing when you can’t hear what is being said or having time to consider was totally ignored in your reply.

Total pressure do not engage timeshare reinvented

The staff are so friendly and helpful. So far, its Mia who we have dealt with the most. When we had a problem with a previous hotel she immediately sorted it out. Our recent trip to Alicante found us lodged in a lovely appartment hotel in a great location.

Our 10 year contract comes to an end very soon.
I've emailed and asked, what are the correct procedures to ensure that this is NOT renewed, but they can't even answer this simple task, they over complicate it.
I get the impression, that they want you to forget and then they sign you up for another contract.
Can you just provide a simple answer so that I and everyone else can have clear instructions.

We arrived to sub-standard accommodation at the Qawra Point Holiday Complex which requires total refurbishment. We immediately contacted our representative with photographic evidence after we had sorted out a different room.
This first hotel was not what A2L had been led to believe.
First thing the next morning she contacted us to confirm she was making arrangements to transfer us to another hotel, The Primera Hotel at Bugibba, which she did. After a day of settling in, she made contact to see how we were and if we were happy with the new accommodation, which is 100% superior to the first.
The Primera Hotel, Bugibba has friendly, helpful, professional staff. The rooms are very clean and close to bus stops and other amenities. We are enjoying our stay here.

Primera hotel bugibba Malta.
As said yes we were told that they were not asking for money. Just look around a budget hotel and for a cheap break it’s fine and when they’ve finished updating it, itll be fine.
But the end spiel the big guns THEY ASK you to sign upto €1200.
The rep trying to prove her point they can offer cheaper breaks once you sign up and you won’t pay more than 495 brought up several examples. But scrolled down a little too far. And there was a couple of even cheaper deals with other hotels.
The look on both faces when we stopped them mid sentence saying we WASNT going to sign up and PAY anything until I researched them so people do your homework first before signing up for €1200 read reviews don’t complain afterwards that you can’t get out of it.
THERE ARE good reviews about the hotel itself it’s the timeshare aspect although they don’t use that discription

My husband and I were approached in the streets of Malta offering prize ticket prize and taken to the Discover Access representative office, where we were kept for over three hours, given beer, and pressured into signing what they claimed was a “holiday club”.
It turned out to be a timeshare-style contract we could never afford. We only paid £100 to escape before our airport transfer.
Back in the UK, we are now being chased for over £12,000 by Daniel Silverman's Solicitors/debt collectors acting on behalf of Nest Developer Services Ltd.
The whole matter has been reported to the MCCAA.
We are just ordinary working people, I work in a hospital as a healthcare assistant barely taking home £1900 after tax and this whole experience has left us feeling shaken, embarrassed, and heartbroken that our lovely holiday turned into months of stress and fear.
I hope this helps warn others to be careful.

Travel to Malta regularly and over last 3yrs stayed at the Mayflower in Qawra
The Administrative Staff have always made sure the booking is done efficiently and any requests done.
The Mayflower is a boutique style hotel and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and bright and are cleaned daily to a high standard. It is in a perfect location within walking distance of all the local amenities

I thought it was about time I wrote my review of our experience with Discover Access.
For us it started with a pretty awful first trip to Malta in 2018, we had a week off and needed a break, we had planned Turkey but couldn't get the flights and Malta was suggested so we had a week in Qawra with Teletext Holidays staying at the White Dolphin. On arrival our hands sank and could have easily taken the taxi back to the airport as the accommodation was such a dump.
Tried to find representative who were next useless.
Anyway second day of holiday and we were stopped on the front at Qawra and invited to a presentation.
Being aware of the hard sell of timeshares we planned to listen and stick our guns as I expected it to be way too expensive.
Anyway we listened and had the tour of the Club Riza (sadly no more RIP!) and we were incredibly surprised at the price, unlimited weeks and no maintenance fees, seemed too good to be true.
Decided to work out some figures and taking in account the two free weeks we were offered I established that we only needed to use it a handful of times to get our money's worth so actually was a no brainer, especially with discounted UK breaks too which we expected to make use of too.
In the end we tried to negotiate a room at the Riza for the rest of stay as our own accommodation was so awful, but sadly the Riza was fully booked, however we negotiated a day pass to allow to use the pool and facilities at the Riza which we truly made use of, only sleeping in our dump.
There was no hard sell and we could have walked away had we chosen to do so.
Thanks to Discover Access we salvaged something from our 2018 holiday.
Unfortunately through no fault of Discover Access it would 4 years before we returned as sadly my wife was taken ill just before our 2019 holiday and diagnosed with cancer and despite coming through we then had the global pandemic.
In 2022 we returned and payed a small fee which gave us back those lost years and we had a wonderful stay.
The Riza was wonderful accommodation and the best apparthotel I've experienced. We were therefore gutted that 2022 was it's last year.
We have since returned and stayed at the Mayflower a few times, the most recent being in one of the penthouse rooms which along with the excellent breakfast package has been a wonderful stay, although we still miss the spacious suites at the Riza and would like to see a decent apparthotel option.
We have also made use of UK breaks too with an excellent 7 night stay in Scotland.
We are looking forward to making up for last time and making the best of the club.
It has worked out for us and has been excellent value for money.
The only word of caution is the meetings during each stay in Malta when they will try and sell upgrades, just need to stick to your guns if it doesn't work for you.
That being said overall we have happy.

Hotel Roma Tor Vergata is located in a quiet residential area. It's clean and well cared for, staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are well equipped, has coffee machine, kettles can be requested at reception. Plenty shops, cafes and supermarkets within ten minutes walk. Will need to buy a rechargeable card for public transport brought and topped up at train stations, all roads around hotel have great bus links, just tap on /off.
