Good experience overall. Booking and communication with DiscoverAccess went well. With regards to Fairways Club, our accommodation was clean and spacious. We were near the large pool and pool bar... See more

Holidaying in Malta and as we left our hotel to go to the aquamarine we were stopped by Steve asking if we were going on the bus sightseeing we said no going to the aquamarine and he said oh I can get you free tickets for that you just need to pop in the Mayflower hotel and pick up a brochure, have a look round the hotel takes less than an hour and get your tickets. Ok we said as we walked into the hotel he said they’ll ask if you’re ok doing the presentation but that’s the tour so just say yes! Big mistake we lost three hours of our holiday. Connie who conducted the presentation was nice and we should have just said no thanks and walked out but the whole thing sounded interesting. Unfortunately at the end when we asked well how much does all this cost connie couldn’t deliver the information and we had to wait for another guy to come over with the hard sell! £8000 for a 10 year membership but if we signed up there and then they’d discount it. When we said we’d need to think about it and discuss it and maybe pop back the next day the guy said can’t do it we won’t see you tomorrow!!!!! At which point we said ok no worries he then tried to sell us a 1 year membership we said we need to discuss and think about it. Finally they agreed to let us leave and return after 2 hours with a decision which we did but no one came to meet us and we never got our free tickets. The holidays they offer are from £99-£419 guaranteed but factor in the £8000 for your membership not so cheap when it’s for room only. Depending on how many holidays you take a year might be a good deal for some but not for us. Just be aware if your approached as you leave your hotel they apparently target couples.

Being members of Discoveraccess club for 20ish years we have enjoyed many holidays in Malta and Lanzarote. Booking has been easy and staff helpful and friendly - and we've got what we needed. The club is changing, we understand they have to reflect todays needs - so as our membership ends soon, we wish them the best for the future and thank them for some great times.

I took time to listen to the offers that were made by a lovely chap called Dave who was very personable and friendly and very informative. However we decided that at this time it was not for us as we could not guarantee holiday times while still working. We were then spoken AT by a chap called Hugh who tried some extremely high pressure selling and would not take no for an answer and was patronising and rude. In the end when my partner said that he wanted to go we felt like we'd been thrown out !! Horrible experience but thanks for the free bus tour tickets !!! Avoid this high pressure selling.

The mayflower hotel is much nicer that the Riza and the facilities feel much more modern. The room was clean and the air con worked well.
The infinity pool on the rooftop offers stunning views!
We used mum’s membership so can’t comment on the access to the package.
If you’re British and into “home away from home” holidays then this is for you.

Been using discover access since 2018 thanks to my dad's membership always a great experience we decided to return to Malta to the brand new home resort (the mayflower hotel )even though we loved staying at the Riza we were very impressed,it was modern, clean and the best view from the infinity pool . -1 option not available. It’s a scam holiday club using pressure sales tactics, if it was such a great offer they’d let you take paperwork away and let you consider it in peace. The website that was demonstrated to us didn’t have a valid SSL certificate so was not secure, this would be a giveaway that there is something dodgy going on.

As a plus member with a two weeks sleeps four contract my wife and I are surprised that at our review with the rep he refused to accept that the company is not honouring its obligation as per the contract.
Apart from that we are very happy with Access to Leisure.
Wow what can I say. This was the best holiday so far with discover access. We done our free week in lanzarote at club los molinos. Paul was very polite and helpful. The apartment was absolutely beautiful too. We can not wait to go back!
Had a great experience with this company, Shaun you are a Star, thankyou for listening and understanding our needs. Brilliant customer support.
I always get a reply to emails and help in finding somewhere to stay
I was kindly given a week’s accommodation in Malta for a charity Auction I organised! Thank you sooo much for donating this it played a great part in raising a whopping £11,530 for Brain research xx

Excellent hotel and great service from Discover Access
This is my fourth review for good reason with slightly more detail.
We were told we could could book holidays late for £99 for one week or £199 and £299 for more advance bookings. We have not found one single holiday from these schysters, other than the *free* week in Malta for £1200.
We only had until 29th April this year to take advantage of our 'last chance', so we contacted Pauline on three occasions. The latest list was a paltry choice of 12, 10 at £419 and two at £219 for one week. One of the 'cheapos' was in Hungary....whoop whoop!
Not one of them was particularly special and only a couple had a proper kitchen, so you would need a decent size budget for dining out 3 times a day with alcohol for a week on top of the £419, not to mention the extortionate air fares and extras for airport transfers and baggage. Most of the properties had ludicrous extra surcharges, ie, 75 euros for utilities, £5 euros daily for wi-fi and 100 euros for a security deposit. All in all, it would be a very expensive holiday and we have been truly scammed out of £1200 to boot.
We have found 178 all inclusive holidays on Love Holidays for between £350 and £550 each in June and that's just in Spain.
Beware of the slick salesmen in Malta offering you wine and trinkets to attend a presentation......run like hell. I kid you not, Anglian Windows would be proud to take these guys on board, slick doesn't even come close!!!

Currently preying on couples near the bus station in Bugibba. There's some chancer, Tony, there ready to pounce and feed you some bullsh*t to entice you into a presentation.
It's a classic soft/hard sell. You *must* give them the answer there and then about whether you'll pay £8000 (yes, you read that right) for a 10 year membership. If you say "no" they'll be astounded that you are prepared to miss out on the opportunity before eventually trying for a £1500 2-year "taster".
The hotel they show you around is eerily devoid of guests. An odd experience, best avoided.
Edit: I see that they've given their damage limitation reply, claiming that the high pressure sales, dubious claims, etc is not their intent. It absolutely is, and the *ahem* 'business model' depends upon it.

After being a member of club Riza For over 30 years Which has become discover access We have enjoyed every holiday we have taken here in Malta and Lanzarote , we are heartbroken with the closing of club Riza sadly it has come to an end And so are the reps My contract is still remaining with access leisure and the reps Jaye and Andrew have done their best to accommodate my holiday weeks Plus honouring the contract I had with club Riza
So with new adventures with discover access we are trying the new Mayflower Hotel Pauline and family
Avoid, Avoid and dont waste your time or money!!
If its too good to be true, it probably is.
Absolutely pathetic company. They are not registered with companies House under the DISCOVER ACCESS name. Wasted an hour with the salesman, interrupted the sales chap at this point and said you haven't given me a price of the membership and you are wasting my holiday time. Said I'm off, he replied it would be another hour yet!!! No thank you
Don't be fooled by them, the first free holiday they offer costs £1200 which is more than we paid for the holiday we had already booked.

This is the worst scam going.
The first person outside our hotel asked us if we're English (they are only targeting English people). They took us to an old run down hotel, Riza Club Hotel, to take a photo and post it on social media for some free bus tickets.
They then spent 3hrs coercing us into signing into the "club" for a year.
We felt extremely uncomfortable and wanted to leave but kept on distracting us.
We didn't pay any cash up front as we refused. They asked for our bank details instead and we said we didn't have our bank cards with us at the time. They said pay us when you return to the UK.
We have sent them an email to exit this within a 14day cooling off period and also gone to Mosta to file a Police report.
I strongly suggest anyone else who is caught out also files a Police report in Malta!!
