£33 a wand - show wasn’t worth spending the money it cost.

Show was ok, my granddaughter liked it. Even the bit where they asked mums to stand and dance, dads to stand and dance and boys to stand and dance - What about the little girls that were there?? Totally forgotten!!! Sound wasn’t particularly good even though we had row A seats. Total rip off for the light up wands which we refused to buy at £33 a go. Why would Disney do that to families? Without families you have no Disney so maybe stop the greed and make it more family kind. Wouldn’t recommend it to family or friends as the cost was too high for the show we got. Then £40 for parking to top the expense off!!!

rip off event...

it is so disappointed this year, i am expecting some shows/circus like previous years, but with almost 2 hours of dancing on ice.... i paid more than $500 for the tickets for my family, $35 parking fee, and the super expensive snacks and drinks to just watch a simple dancing show... not worth to watch, this is my third time, so disappointed...

It is not worth the money

It is not worth the money. Attended 12/7/2024 in Norfolk, VA. Show was divided up in segments based on a Disney movie, e.g., Moana, The Lion King, Frozen 2, Wish (never heard of before), The Little Mermaid, etc. I found myself wishing for each segment to be over and wanted the show to move on. There was an approximate 20 minute intermission. In my opinion, the show needs to get rid of the DJ at the beginning (nobody wanted to sing along) and Minnie and MIckey need to giggle less. Overall, the show was boring. My grandkids (5 and 8 years old) wanted to leave before intermission. I didn't see any children with smiles of joy. To the show's credit, the ice skaters were very good and so were the costumes. Skaters/characters lipsynced to the songs. The sound and lights were good. I just can't recommend it.

Disney on ice 2024

Disney on ice 2024.
We went to the motor point arena Nottingham. The show was incredible well put together and the skaters were outstanding. The venue was good and the facilities were great and the whole place was very clean. Car parking was expensive but you expect that in a city and it was only a short walk from the venue. Now for the negatives the merchandise was incredibly expensive £34 for a light up plastic wand, £32 for a lion king teddy or Elsa stuffed doll, £20 for a child’s T-shirt £15 for a tub of popcorn, a slushy in a Elsa cup and a straw was £17 I expect to pay more for merchandise at a show like this but I just cannot see how these prices are justified especially when there are stalls outside the arena selling the exact same light up wands for £12. Unfortunately the food and drink in the arena was also quite expensive £3.50 for a bottle of water £5 for a portion of chips. Usually I would take snacks and drinks with me but it tells you on the motor point website you can only take a small bag in with you the measurements are listed so not much room for drinks and snacks. Great show we had a great night but the unjustifiable prices on merchandise and food did put a bit of a dark cloud over the evening. We only took our granddaughter and I did feel sorry for parents with several children their bank balances must have took one heck of a hit.

Great show, but total £33 for a light wand 😖

Show is wonderful, unfortunately the light wands are £33 EACH that’s £5.65 less than I paid for each ticket. Absolutely disgusting! The show organisers need to do better. Charing £15 they’d make a huge mark up - greed at its best. Thankfully my 3 understood that mummy wouldn’t pay £100 for light up sticks that’ll no doubt break pretty quick

The show wasn’t too bad

The show wasn’t too bad, but the price of the merchandise was disgusting!!! £33 for a wand £15 for popcorn , how they have the nerve to charge that sort of money is beyond belief, their greedy people taking advantage of families, I would never ever go to it again!

Not worth the money

The performance and lighting really threw off the show. The performance was very subpar compared to what it used to be. The dances were not synchronized at all when they were clearly trying, performers fell MULTIPLE times, and the dance and audio were not in sync quite often (making certain gestures either too early or too late compared to the audio track). The lighting was also super distracting. The spotlight especially was a big distraction as it never seemed to fully be where it was supposed to be. At parts where the performers would skate around, the light couldn't keep up and was always lagging behind the performer. Performers/lighting would not sync up when standing still too and was often highlighting a spot where no one was standing. All in all, it was a poor experience for the cost. I doubt I will be returning.

We attended Disney on ice in…

We attended Disney on ice in Sacramento. The show was great we liked it. The only issue I had was how expensive everything is like the Icee in a cup,20 dollars and if you wanted a straw 5 dollars like it's just an icee, and the popcorn 20 dollars each, that 50 dollars for two Icees that's ridiculous.

Dissapointed road trip to Birmingham uk

Myself and family went to road trip adventures birmingham uk last night.absolutely agree literally no props how it always used to be but a lot cheaper with a big round screen.i was really dissapointed with the characters costumes aswell they didn't give me the wow disney factor.
They have really changed my opinion and I'm not sure if I will go again next year.simba and nalas costumes were simply awful.its disney you want to see these amazing costumes couldn't fault the people doing the skating and acrobats but I think old mr Walt disney wouldn't be a happy Man if he thought they were pulling back on the magical elements of what it's all about.sorry disney on ice very dissapointed this year you need to up your game

2024 Disney On Ice

I been going since I was a child with my mother. Then started bringing my little cousin & my friends with kids.A family tradition which may becoming to an end soon. The prices are not cheap ticket wise or food wise. All that money for little to no effort. They used the screen so much this year it was crazy. Like I loved the diversity but giving everyone 1-2 minutes is such a tease and a let down. This was the worst show in years. Just seemed like no effort was put into it. The props was very limited which is strange because I seen these shows with longer segments & the props were amazing. We will try again next year 2025 but if its the same as 2024 I am going to have to pass. To much screen being used.

Went to the disney on ice show tonight…

Went to the disney on ice show tonight in Kent Washington. Me and my daughter have been going since she was a little girl, she is 28 now. I would have to say this was my least favorite show. Instead of having different characters come out for a few minutes and skate to a backup screen with no props. They should just do one full movie. It's like they put no effort. It used to be a good quality show. I just wish they would go back to how the used to do it.

2024, the worst show of the past 10 years

I am not an art critic, but we have been going to Disney on Ice since my daughter is 4 years old. She is now thirteen.

I leave that negative review, hoping that others will do the same, so Disney never massacred again the Show.

It was not Disney on Ice (at least there was ice), but some sort of knockoff of TV Show, using screens to display photos of guests, inviting the public on the ice, and repetitively asking you to twitter with hashtag.

It should have been called Disney Online doing clickbait.

There was no Art in that show, no magic, no emotion, and likely no work.

i’ve been coming to disney on ice with my daughter for over 15 years now, it’s a tradition we do every july for her birthday. it has always been an amazing show with fireworks, fire on the ice, crazy stunts and more however 2024 has been the worst show by far obviously their on some budget there was nothing other cylinder screen moving up and down the ice between performances. They literally used the screen of will smith as the genuine for aladdin poor work and lazy dedication in compassion to previous years. The song choices and overall performance was disappointing, they used the rebranded aladdin and toy story where no kids knew it or want to dance to songs. none of the kids in my row sang along and lost interest mid way. do better very disappointed with 2024

I brought my 4 year old to enjoy Disney…

I brought my 4 year old to enjoy Disney on Ice on a Sunday, at lunch. The show itself was incredible. We purchased the affordable seats at the Long Beach Arena, and the view was great. However, this venue sold alcohol and what I am assuming was a father with a group of teenagers were aweful. He was obviously drunk and the kids were just feeding off his behavior. I felt sorry for the family and did my best to remain calm. I can only imagine it’s someone who struggles with addiction that can’t do a mid day activity without over drinking. I don’t understand why every time we gather alcohol must be included. Especially, when we are there for our children. Do better Disney.🙏

So very sad that the program has…

So very sad that the program has nothing to do with the actual show. A program should tell what happens. It does not! As a teacher, a younger child should be able to take a book (program) home and be able to relive the experience. It helps with sequencing, storytelling, and comprehension. DO NOT BUY THE PROGAM!!!!! It has nothing to do with the show!

I wanted to share how disappointed I…

I wanted to share how disappointed I was with the Disney On Ice show I recently attended. It didn't feel like a Disney event at all. The atmosphere was more like a local ice hockey match, not the magical Disney setting we expected. The food was expensive and of low quality, and the souvenirs seemed cheap, like something you'd find at a Sunday market.

There were no Disney characters to meet or activities for kids before the show or during the break. This lack of interaction was a big letdown for my family. The stage itself was small, which might be why the show lacked a central theme or story. It just felt like a series of unrelated, short performances from various cartoons.

The ice skating wasn't impressive either, reminding me more of a junior competition than a professional show. I wouldn't mind the ticket prices if the experience had been memorable, but unfortunately, it was just a huge disappointment.

The show itself is great

The show itself is great. My major problem is the total ripoff of the preshow meet and greet. Only juice and water provided. The "games" are coloring and cutting out a snowflake. No sing-a-long and each child gets a couple of pictures with the Anna and Elsa characters. TOTALLY not worth $55 a head. That's $165 I'm not getting back.
