Cheyenne is amazing

My brother and I had to file a claim due to a medical issue that prevented us from traveling. Cheyenne was very helpful in not only guiding us on our applications, but was quick to follow up on our inquiries.

I can’t say I was impressed with the underwriter as they didn’t respond at all. Cheyenne was great though so I do recommend you work with her. We did finally receive our settlement.

Liveaboard cancelled-Still waiting for DA to settle

I had a Liveaboard dive trip scheduled but a typhoon in the Pacific prevented me from reaching the Liveaboard boat. I filed a claim with DiveAssure providing them with all the information they requested. It's been MONTHS since I filed the claim and I'm still waiting. I've tried phoning and emailing them to check on the status of my claim but they DO NOT respond. I will not be using this insurance company again and I will not recommend them to anyone else.

Only DiveAssure for my Trips!

I've purchased Dive+Travel insurance from DiveAssure for 10 years. They've had to help me out 3 times during this time. I've never had issues in getting things covered varying from lost dive gear, medical attention, and a hurricane evacuation. Always want DiveAssure behind me on ANY trip!

FALSE ADVERTISING - AVOID AT ALL COST

Please avoid DiveAssure at all costs. They try in any way possible to dodge your claims.

Claims took more than 3 months to come back and any appeal takes weeks to get an answer.

Especially if you bring your underwater camera setup with you, please please please DO NOT go with DiveAssure. They advertised in their policy that "specialized photographic dive equipment" is covered. I asked for more info and they defined it as "any equipment you use to take photo/video while diving". When making a claim, they rejected our claim saying that our industry-leading underwater camera housing for your mirrorless camera that is rated for 100m depth is not "specialised dive equipment" because "it can be used for other watersports" "like a GoPro housing". They compared your £1800 Nauticam housing to a plastic GoPro housing. When asked for an example of what would be considered "specialized photographic dive equipment", they refuse to give any.

This is clearly avoidance and false advertising.

We are currently reaching out to Citizen Advice and the ombudsman to file a challenge.

AVOID.

Exceptional Customer Service.

As some of you might know, diving off Guadalupe Island has been shut down for two years now (2022-2023). Cheyenne with DiveAssure has been so patient and kind during this process. She has pushed back my insurance without hesitation. When I asked for credit a year later because dives have been canceled at this location for the foreseeable future, she quickly and kindly credited my account. It has been a rare experience to converse with a company that has been nothing but supportive during this hectic and fluid situation. I wholeheartedly recommend this company and especially Cheyenne. Thank you all for not adding more stress to this situation.

Professional, informative, knowledgeable, patient.

The account representative that worked with me (Cheyenne) was patient, informative, professional and knowledgeable about the DiveAssure products. In addition she listened to my needs and matched me to the exact product that I needed for my Dive trip.

Very Disappointing Experience

Used DiveAssure for a trip in April 2023. Had to make a claim due to adverse weather. I sent the form away to Van Ameyde in the UK first week in May and got a response requesting further information within a week, which I duly sent off. Since then, I have heard nothing and today have chased it up for at least the third time. All I get is the standard response email and have now been waiting well over 2 months for a response. I realise the claim goes to Van Ameyde as I am in the UK, but I won't be using DiveAssure again as I have no faith in their insurance partners.
