I have ordered three times from Djerf and here's my two cents…
I have ordered three times from Djerf Avenue and I have selected multiple pieces across the Core Collection and the multiple drops that have happened since the launch. Here's what I think:
1. The preach on "superior quality" and sustainable sourcing & supply chain is a whole lot of green washing. The quality for certain pieces was definitely better than others. The breezy line is OK whereas the most recent drops have been truly disappointing. Threads snag constantly, oftentimes the stitching was just negligent, the fabrics range from recycled polyester to cupro (not so sustainable compared to other silk-like alternatives), and the list goes on...
2. I have reviewed some of the products I ordered recently. Some I have reviewed positively, some I have reviewed negatively, but in both scenarios I left honest reviews about fit, fabric and overall quality. They have to approve all the reviews first, which makes me question the authenticity of the rating of their products. I only managed to rate 3 products and all of a sudden I couldn't leave reviews on the rest of the products. Now my account doesn't even show my past orders anymore. It just feels shady. I would advise to get feedback on the brand and the product from other sources than the official website.
3. Please, invest on brands that really put workers rights, environmental sustainability and product quality first, especially for such an elevated price point. You are the customers and you get to decide. Get informed and choose wisely.

Return policy is extremely bad!

Return policy is extremely bad. Shirt arrived and had already some pulls. I tried to return it but they didn’t accept it. I only tried the shirt once and very carefully. However, the customer service didn’t accept the shirt because of the pulls (that the shirt already had in the beginning). Overall, the service was exceptionally poor and I didn’t get my money back. Unfortunately, thus I would not recommend Djerfavenue to anyone. :(

Customer service does not care

Clothes are fine, love the style.

However,

Customer service is pretty bad in my opinion, definitely could tell these individuals that work in their customer service department lack in education for it. Customer service has no communication with warehouse and vice versa. You have to send things back individually per code and cost. As an adult I can do this, however, it takes an extra good 5-10 minutes of my day instead of asking djerf for a return slip for this order for this item. They want you to do the work. They redirect you for a lot of things. Your package double ordered? “ Call DHL babe or you’re out of luck “

Will redirect my money elsewhere because as a Los Angeles + American gal we are stuck in traffic, working to pay our healthcare, student loans, and groceries that now cost an arm and a leg, and when I wanna spoil myself I don’t want to burden myself. Hopefully Matilda and her mans can figure it out, because they need to hire more, or hire someone who can rechange their customer service department.

Going downhill

This company is sadly drifting away from their ethics. They used to do only a few drops per year but now they have new items launching at least every two weeks! Does not sound like slow fashion to me. The quality used to be so nice too. The items that I’ve recently ordered have poor stiching, pilling and see through materials…

Read Me Before Purchasing.

I like the style of clothes, bit have encountered several problems while shopping that have soured my opinion of the company:
-The clothing is priced higher in certain countries like the USA and Australia. When I reached out to the costumer service team to ask why, the ceo responded and implied I did not UNDERSTAND how currency conversion works. So I did the math, took the conversion rates from several months as well as calculating it via website and guess what? I was right. When I responded with evidence, the costumer service team responded instead, deflecting by taking items prices from previous launches and trying to tell me at the same time that I did not know what I was talking about. Unlike most international retailers, they do not simply automatically convert currency at checkout or during shopping. They set different prices. This, coupled with their poor response to a costumer felt odd, and scummy.

-Their clothes are hit or miss, and their return policy is scummy and dodgy as well. Coupled with this, processing and shipping takes forever and when they do issue you a refund or replacement, they behave as though they are doing you a favor and making an “exception” when it was their mistake in the first place. I.E. silk like fabric that came bumpy and so thin you could see the tag clearly through, not being fixed with ironing or steaming, items with stains on them, uneven stitches, pilling fabric, inconsistent sizing. For the price, this is unacceptable.

-Drops are set at random hours like 6 am here. Set an alarm? Oh, too bad. They actually dropped half the items before the rest! You know, the ones you actually wanted? They’re sold out. They tell everyone diaapointed they should have been on the waitlist. You say you are, and never got an email. So do many other costumers. They call you a liar, but oh so politely with an excess of these emoji’s: ❤️🫶🥹. So professional. Not.

Their clothes do not justify the price…

Their clothes do not justify the price tag, and they take too long to refund. I tried to contact the seller and have yet to receive a response. It says the item arrived 2 weeks ago and still no refund.

The products are amazing

The products are amazing, but the customer service is just too slow. I ordered a dress for a wedding, unfortunately one of the stiches was loose so I wanted an exchange. It took them 3 full days to send the return label, and in total 3 weeks to send a new dress.

Overpriced

Overpriced. Maybe I was being stupid but hadn't taken into account the changes in import duties post-Brexit and the website and order process did not make it clear. I got lumped with an additional £70 bill from the courier company on an already expensive purchase. Items were nice but not any better from what you can get on the high street.

Return Disaster

The item was okay, not worth over $200. I could have probably gotten a similar jacket somewhere else although I get the price probably has something to do with ethical practices. I did return my item and my poor rating mainly reflects the poor customer service. My item has been delivered at their warehouse for over a week and I have gotten no communications that my return was on its way. I feel scammed. Especially given the fact I lost like $60 in duties as a Canadian.

Prepare to be underwhelmed

I had my eye on some Djerf Avenue things for a long while but was waiting until I could afford to spoil myself and spend a little more for great quality clothes. However, when they arrived (the forever blazer and the essential white tee), I was definitely underwhelmed. The forever blazer has amazing reviews on the site and looks so nice in photos, but in reality it is made from recycled polyester so not only feels cheap and flimsy, but it looks it, too.

I read the other reviews on Trustpilot and wish I had listened to what they said. Customs charges from UPS added another £45 on top of an already costly order. Plus, they take £20 out of your 'free shipping' return once it gets back to them in Sweden.

Honestly, I found a much nicer blazer and tee in H&M for a fraction of the price; both made from recycled fabrics and not a complete rip off. I would recommend not getting sucked into clothes just because they are the brand of an influencer.

High price tag for poor quality

Though the customer service is as helpful and kind as can be, the quality of clothing isn't what I had expected when I purchased my items. I've bought different kinds of pieces (blouses, skirts, dresses, pants, jackets) because I like the design and what the company stands for (diversity, equality, uniqueness, and timelessness), but the majority of the pieces seemed either faulty or just made of poor quality.

The first purchase I made was the blue breezy shirt. Though some buttons seemed to be stitched on loosely, the overall quality of the shirt was good, and the fabric was thick. A few months later (in June 2021) I ordered the same shirt, but in white, and the fabric was thin, poor quality, and nothing compared to the blue breezy shirt. The stitching of almost all products is very mediocre. Djerf Avenue advertises that the products are timeless, but pieces are see-through, pill, break or sag easily after only a few wears. Matilda has mentioned that the workers in Portugal are paid a minimum wage: 740 euros per month (in Portugal). Considering this, and the overall disappointing quality, I am unsure why the price tag is this high.

Incredible! READ THIS FIRST AND NO OTHER!

Incredible! I normally don’t write reviews but omg I have never received better service or quality of clothing before. The people that work there are generally the most accommodating and polite people. They will literally help you as much as they possibly can! Even if im being extremely difficult, i mean i know this is there job but how can they be so sweet about it.

I generally hope they will keep up the good work and sustainable clothing as they grow bigger.
Best!

Read the small print

I bought 3 shirts for a Christmas present and sadly didn’t check the small print as I have now been charged Additional Duty and Vat from the courier company. This makes the shirts as expensive as top class brands which I assure you they most definitely are not ! Maybe I was being dense having not brought abroad since BREXIT(!!!!!) but if these companies want to continue doing business with people in the UK they need to include the customs duty and VAT in their pricing at source. Thanks Djerf! Won’t be buying from you again!!

Too pricey for the quality

The design and the customer service are great and I really like all of my items. But the quality is just okay. Definitely not worth the hefty prices. The stitches on every item I own openend in one way or another. The forever pants despite never being worn have a completely open hem on one leg. I like that the items are made in Portugal. However, Matilda mentioned that the workers get minimum wage which is around 740 € per month in Portugal. That's next to nothing. Instead of making so much profit I would be happier if the brand paid the workers more. It makes me a bit sad that all the money seems to get used for Matilda's lavish lifestyle which is fine. But she shouldn't mention that the production is ethical just because it's not made in Bangladesh or China.
