Unusable website
Unusable website, didnt work on multiple browsers. Wasted time.
Don't waste your time.
Scheduled a visit, logged on five minutes early to the site, and after waiting an additional fifteen minutes, my visit was canceled because the doctor couldn't be bothered to show up. The next available appoint wasn't until the next day. What a joke. Don't bother trying to use this worthless site.
Frustrating experience, delayed reimbursement, and poor follow‑through
I used Doctors on Demand on November 13, 2025, and unfortunately my experience mirrors what many others have reported. The nurse was over five minutes late to the appointment, and despite the platform accepting my insurance, I was still required to pay the full $129 fee upfront.
After they processed my insurance, my actual copay was only $10 — but as of February 2026, I still had not received the reimbursement for the difference. I reached out to them multiple times with no resolution. It ultimately took filing a chargeback with my bank to get the money returned.
Given the delays, lack of communication, and the amount of effort required just to receive a basic reimbursement, I would not recommend this service.
Do NOT use Doctors on Demand
Do NOT use Doctors on Demand! I've been fighting with them for nearly a year after they starting charging me and said they couldn't verify my insurance. I provided them letters from Tricare and even had a Tricare representative on a 3-way call telling them I was covered, and they're still trying to get money from me. I used them from Jan. 2024- Dec. 2024, but in November, they started charging me because they claim I had no insurance. Now they won't respond to emails or phone calls! My therapist was fantastic, and I wanted to continue with her, but they made it impossible!
Took my money and then refused to help, was rude and dismissive. Have not given a timely refund.
My appointment cost $84 dollars up front, as they don’t take my insurance. They refused to give me what I needed—a work note proving that I have a work injury, only minor restrictions needed—and were quite rude about it. The provider insisted I need to get this from my PCP. When I politely explained that I don’t have a PCP, she snootily said, “then you need to get one!” with her eyes wide and dismissive. I make very little money. I can’t afford a PCP. And by the way, this isn’t legal policy. It’s company policy. So they CAN help, they just CHOOSE not to. I paid nearly $100 just to get told no. I’ve requested a refund and have yet to hear back. Don’t waste your money here.
Their AI and Operating System is Grossly Dysfunctional
The AI that is heavily used by Doctor on Demand is dysfunctional. It repeatedly made errors in gathering health information, no matter how I phrased and rephrased my problem. I have a medical background and know how to describe health problems.
The actual human medical practitioner was then not given all the information that AI collected, including the most pertinent details.
Their technology, from beginning to end mixed up my information. At one point I was determined to have applicable insurance. The next time I was denied an appointment for want of the correct insurance.
Upon calling to correct that problem, the poor customer service rep had no way to correctly communicate the tech problems, nor the reason for my requested telehealth visit. Her program would not let her proceed without some form of entry so she was forced to enter false data to make her system work.
The same happened later during my telehealth appointment. Their system is so poorly conceived that it is a dangerous fiasco. The computer is set up such that it cripples the humans ability to communicate health conditions or needs. The misunderstandings do not end.
During the appointment the technology did not work. The patient microphone would not turn on. It forced us to talk on the telephone while still doing face time so the nurse could hear me. There was a high pitched screeching and echoing throughout the visit.
Overall, Doctor on Demand used up an aggravating amount of my time, only to give me a final refusal-for-service for a reason that had nothing to do with my visit. It came out of left field. It was not what the human worker recommended or what I was taking about. The outcome was bizarre.
It is appalling that Regence BC/BS would even suggest that I use this service. They had recommended Doctor on Demand when I called to complain that I was unable to get into a doctor in my state short of 4 months. I have a pressing medical need.
The breakdown in our medical system is horrific but Doctor on Demand is NOT the answer. The "service" is a dangerous joke. Steer clear. If you are one of their employees with a medical license, I would try to get out. Doc. on Demand is heading for an inevitable medical disaster. You are in a set-up to take the fall, not to mention what could happen to your patient.
Criminal operation
Criminal operation. double billed me $99 and say it will be up to eight weeks before they can reimburse me. Three days after talking to a person who claimed to be a doctor I went to an urgent care locally to receive the meds I needed They still have $200 of my money for a couple of months. Needs to be a class action lawsuit.

01/24/2026 Hope that you are reading this before you waste your money with doctorsondemand.com they join forces with another company. I give them on star if I could I give them 0 starts. I have a medical condition call Gout flare up, they are very painful, and Only one medication works for me. I call doctors on demand and requested a prescription refill since I change insurances. the wait time for my replacement PCP is 4-8 weeks. got the prescription and I requested a minimum of 30 tablets to resolve the medical condition; they only prescribe 12 tablets. I called them back and went thru their process, it is a waste of time, they-are RN and doctors therefore they do not care, I paid the fee and was told that I could call back to request another refill. Well, they have given the "Don't Bother me" attitude and they want me to pay them additional fees for another consultation, they have done this before. Consumer beware stay aware from doctorsondemand.com it is a new heartless company the doesn't care.
Rushed appointments, Lack of real knowledge
Rushed appointments. Lack of real concern by certain clinicians. Under prescribing or prescribing the incorrect medication. Most "clinicians" read from a script. They respond with facts that are already known by the patient. In particular, Dr. Scott Martin, often seems confused as to what to prescribe or will only approve of the otc items already being used. My husband and I both saw him virtually and he gave the same "diagnosis". He literally said the same thing to both of us. He then asked us the same question- "What would you like me to prescribe?" We didn't have the same symptoms. Being seen virtually has its limitations, but some of these "Drs" seem set on a script and not the actual patients' underlying conditions. Today I couldn't fit in two words about my symptoms with Brittany Crenshaw. She stuck to her questionnaire checklist and did not want to hear any extra information. She prescribed Tessalon Perles after I told her what my cough is producing. I now feel more sick and my cough has increased. From now on we'll be seen in person at an urgent care clinic instead of wasting time and money on poorly trained "clinicians".
We had a very disappointing experience…
We had a very disappointing experience using Doctor on Demand for my minor daughter. On multiple occasions, her therapist failed to attend scheduled appointments with no notice, no call, and no follow-up. These repeated no-call/no-shows were disruptive and unacceptable, especially for a child receiving mental health care.
During our most recent appointment, I experienced technical issues accessing the platform and contacted Doctor on Demand immediately to report the problem. Despite notifying support in real time, I was still charged $129 for the appointment. Resolving this charge became another ordeal, involving nonfunctional payment links and repeated attempts to get help by phone and message with little meaningful support.
I was also alarmed by guidance provided early in our care. Due to my divorce, staff advised me to share my login credentials with my ex-husband so he could access our daughter’s care. This directly contradicts basic HIPAA privacy standards and placed my personal protected health information at risk.
Overall, our experience reflected poor communication, improper billing practices, and inadequate attention to patient privacy. As a result, we have discontinued using Doctor on Demand. I would not recommend this service, particularly for families seeking reliable and professional care for minors.
SKIP IT
Wow, live and learn - my experience was exactly as the other complaints on this site. I was hoping to save a trip - nope! Yikes, stay away from this site.
Dr Don’t
Dr. Suzanne Kersbergen, DO Literally was reviewing my chart.. and opted out of seeing me(literally said it was disconnected!) all I was trying to be seen for was a sinus infection. I would go to a local walking if this is how they treat people. I sat there and watched her “review” my chart for 15 minutes then hang up! Insane! I’m still pretty horrified.
Do NOT sign up and waste your money.
Do NOT sign up and waste your money.
The doctor I saw was rude and acted as if I was bothering her by even having an appointment. The "appointment" if you want to call it that lasted for 2 minutes at absolute most. There was no information given and after I agreed for them to take my money there was zero help to me whatsoever and the call was ended. I filed to get my money back and was told that there is nothing they can do and the appointment was "appropriate".
This site is a TOTAL SCAM. I wish I would have looked at the reviews before signing up.
DATA COLLECTION SCAM!
My booking experience was a data collection waste of time. The doctor got on and simultaneously got off and that was it no apologies no explanations. This isn’t the early 2000 where apps are new but they try to pretend like it was a connection issue the virtual assistant was so smooth with collecting all of my data but the non-live chat keeps dying as well. It’s all a fallacy.
Have not refunded their overcharge
They overcharged me and have still not refunded me, even though they said they made a mistake. Been almost a year
DO NOT GO THROUGH DR ON DEMAND
DO NOT GO THROUGH DR ON DEMAND
I had to pay upfront $100 per visit. It was not explained nor specified that this wouldn't cover the full cost of the visit. These appointments were solely to refill my prescription, which they require you to do monthly. So I was basically paying $100 per month to get a prescription re-filled. The appointments were less than 5 minutes and these people hand out prescriptions like candy. I went back in to check what I owed for the appointments and it's now telling me I owe $2,365.30 for each appointment. It doesn't specify why or for what visit. I've had to go through 3 different phone numbers to even get an answer. I'm actually appalled.
Disconnected after 30 seconds of joining-lost the meeting slot
I scheduled an appointment several weeks ahead. On the day of the visit, I joined the call and as the therapist was joining, we were disconnected. I tried to log back in but it showed the visit was completed. I called customer service and said they couldn't do anything about it. I din't receive a message or text saying that they were sorry and had to cancel. This was absurd, I waited 1 month for this visit only to have it cancelled and to feel that customer service couldn't do anything!!
This company is a ripped off
I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with a recent experience using the doctorondemand.com service, which I do not recommend.
I attempted to join a scheduled doctor's visit but was locked out of the call. Despite this technical failure, my card was charged for the visit. When I reached out for help online, I received an unhelpful automated response.
Upon calling and speaking with a representative, I was informed that they found no technical issues and that I would still be charged a $30 late fee. This indicates a very poor standard of customer service and a lack of concern for the customer experience.
Furthermore, a representative from doctorondemand.com explicitly promised me a refund, yet this promise was not honored.
This overall experience—being charged for a service I could not access, the lack of support, and the refusal to issue a promised refund—leads me to believe that your company provides very poor service. I would strongly advise you never to use their services unless you want to be ripped off.
hands down one of the worst experiences
This was hands down one of the worst healthcare experiences I’ve ever had. Doctor on Demand completely missed the mark. The provider was unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in actually listening or providing care. I felt rushed, talked over, and left with zero solutions or guidance.
The entire interaction felt like a checkbox exercise rather than a medical appointment. No empathy, no effort to understand my concerns, and no meaningful advice or treatment. If I wanted to feel ignored and frustrated, I could’ve saved my money and stayed home.
For a service that markets convenience and quality care, this was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend Doctor on Demand to anyone looking for real medical support. Avoid if you actually want help.
No knowledge or care..
I went to the chemist and they advised me to consult a doctor which I did - Desperate so came to doctor on demand.
Doctor was not at all helpful, told me to go to the chemist and get over the counter medication..
went to a doctor the next day and straight away prescribed me with anti biotics and drops.
The lack off knowledge and care doctors had from this company was very concerning.
