This is an absolute waste of money

This is an absolute waste of money! I had a sinus infection, having suffered a few days. I did their online appointment - described symptoms. I have had them before, knew I never get over them without an antibiotic. They told me to go to the drugstore and buy flonase and take ibuprophen. DUH! I could do that without them telling me. you need a doctor for an Rx. if they won't give you one - they are taking your money for nothing. I ended up having to pay an urgent care place. I fought the charge but they wouldn't refund my money. NEVER AGAIN!

I would caution anyone considering…

I would caution anyone considering Included Health / Doctor on Demand.
In July 2025, I canceled an appointment only minutes past the cutoff because I was unable to log into their system. A representative confirmed in writing that my late-cancellation fee would be refunded and told me to allow 6–8 weeks. Four months later, I was suddenly told the refund was denied and that the fee was still owed—completely contradicting their earlier written approval.

This reversal has been stressful and feels misleading and unethical. I’ve been a loyal, paying user for years, and I’ve always paid on time. Approving a refund, waiting months, and then reversing it without notice is unacceptable.

I’m asking Included Health to remove the fee, close the invoice, and fix their inconsistent billing and communication practices so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

FRAUDULENT SERVICE- NOT REAL MEDICAL!!

Horrible service. I had a sinus infection, the providor would not give me antibiotics. i went to an in person clinic the next day and got antibiotics. It was a huge waste of money. They do not provide actual medical services. I disputed charges with them and my credit card. FRAUD TOTAL CONSUMER FRAUD.

Good Luck Getting Them To Show Up

The first time I used Doctor On Demand, everything went fine. I made sure I was at the appointment on time, app open, and in a quiet space as requested. Otherwise, it was made clear to me that I would be charged for the missed appointment. My specialist appeared, and we talked, and then the session ended. My second appointment was for an urgent care visit, and this is the visit I am reviewing here. I was on time for my appointment and ready to go. I saw my doctor join and was reviewing my charts, then the visit abruptly ended for absolutely no reason, and all traces that I had even scheduled it were immediately erased from the app. I reached out to scheduling, expecting an apology or maybe a credit to my account, and got some bullcrap excuse about 'technical issues.' They get one star from me because if you miss an appointment, you are billed the full cost of the appointment. There are no excuses or BS reasons you can come up with to get out of the fee. But if they miss an appointment and waste your time, and therefore cost you money, nothing happens. They just get a pass. Doesn't seem an ethical way of doing business to me.

Predatory!

Predatory! Avoid at all costs! Their website was down and kept kicking me out. Contacted customer service right at the time of my appointment - they responded hours later. Was told that I missed the appointment and was charged $200. Refuted it, refund denied, escalated it, refund denied.

Shakedown of Vulnerable Patients

I have gone through three providers on this app due to unreliability. With this group, it is fine for providers to cancel and no-show on their patients. This happened to me so many times that I lost count. I would also logon to my appointment to find it was cancelled and they gave me NO notification whatsoever. Their website and app are glitchy and temperamental.

Eight weeks ago, I never got notification that my provider was ready on the website. I started looking for my appointment to join the call and it was nowhere to be found. Then I got a notification that I was charged $202 for a "no show" fee. I texted my provider that I was trying to logon. She told me to contact "customer care" to reverse the erroneous charge. They have repeatedly refused to correct the error. Customer service says they authorize providers to cancel or no show an appointment even just a few minutes past the appointment time. It is a total double standard.

This is a shakedown and I am sure I am not the only one this has happened to. I sadly will be ending treatment with my therapist today, whom I like, because of this company's predatory billing practices, unreliable platform, completely uncaring customer service, and some flaky providers. BEWARE!

Unethical Billing Practices After Doctor on Demand’s Transition to Included Health

If I could give zero stars, I would. My therapist was amazing—this is about the company. Ever since Doctor on Demand became Included Health, they’ve turned into a corporate scam. I was told I wouldn’t be charged for a missed session, yet months later they billed me and denied my appeal with false claims.
As a single mom working two jobs, the stress they’ve caused is unacceptable. They care more about money than patients. I’ve deleted the app and removed my billing info. Hopefully, enough honest reviews bring accountability—because what they’re doing isn’t right.

I made an appointment

I made an appointment. It was no charge through my company. I forgot I had an appointment the next day so I needed to reschedule my appointment. There were no available appointments so I had to cancel my appointment. They charged me $129. I tried to dispute the charges but they wouldn’t respond to me or PayPal. Never NEVER again!!

I’ve always had issues with doctor on…

I’ve always had issues with doctor on demand but my last couple of experiences were my last straw. Not only will they not prescribe my birth control all of a sudden but they also have incredibly unprofessional, smacking on gum nurses and If you inquire about reporting any of their nurses they will NOT reply or help you in anyway. I’ve now waited over a week to have my concerns addressed which has lead me to leave this review. Awful service with even worse “doctors”. You get in quick with their staff because their staff can’t find better work it seems. Not surprised since “dr” phil founded it. Deleting the app and never looking back. Not worth it. ETA: It says a lot by all of these 1 star reviews they ignore and don’t reply to.

Rip Off! Do not schedule!

I had an appointment at 10:00. At 10:05 they billed me $200 dollars for a “missed appointment”. I was on the toilet. Do not make an appointment with them! If you are late for any reason other than dying or being in the hospital, they will charge you. They want “documentation”? Wtf?!

TERRIBLE

TERRIBLE! I've been dealing with billing from services that were supposed to be covered by my health insurance for nearly a year, I've called more times about the outstanding bill than I can remember. The therapist I saw was highly unskilled - she did not look at me directly (when I asked, she said she was looking at another computer screen taking notes), she also interjected with her personal experiences.

They provide wrong information and charge you for this

The website says “ Every Therapist retains the right to authorize an emotional animal support letter, it is left to their medical judgment in each case.”-so this is not true!
I tried to talk with two different professionals and they both said they are not allowed to provide ESA letters. Was charged $60 - refund request was rejected.

Poor experience

Missed a therapy appointment by 5 minutes due to a plumbing emergency. I received an email I would be charged. I called customer service, they said a fee of $135-$199 will be automatically charged for missing the appointment. They said they could dispute it but there is no guarantee I would receive funds back. Highly poor experience.

I thought I'd be meeting with a doctor…

I thought I'd be meeting with a doctor since this company is called "Doctor on Demand" but instead, I met with a nurse, Miranda Usongo.

While the visit only lasted about 5 minutes, Miranda Usongo was unbelievably rude and unhelpful and advised me to go to an urgent care for my non-urgent issue. Um, I thought my visit was an urgent care?? Had she read my intake notes prior to the meeting, she could have declined the meeting more professionally instead of charging me $54 to tell me this in such a dismissive way.
