Once great, now a money hungry platform with terrible service — beware
Years ago this was a good platform with real doctors but now it has gone downhill. They overcharge and deny overpayments even after insurance has paid despite proof via EOB and credit card receipt. The influx of nurse practitioners (no shade to them. They have their place.) I’m speaking on this platform rarely listen and just recommend OTC remedies that I could have Googled myself. Billing is a mess and they do not track payments except if you owe them. If you don’t owe them, good luck getting your money back. Lucky for me, I got my money back, but it wasn’t through them. It was through a formal dispute process over 7 months later and I’m still in the process of suing them. This company is money hungry. You have been warned.
That was a waste of time
That was a waste of time. It kept saying 20 to 30 minutes hold time yet I waited for hours and never saw anybody.
Terrible service each time
Terrible service each time, doctors don't listen and make mistakes when writing prescriptions, so pharmacies can't fill them, but they won't fix their mistakes or refund you to make it up to you
Dont trust if they give you zero estimated cost
Honestly im in shock in the level of deception that this company engages in.
They told me ZERO would be due from me and after 5 sessions I get a huge bill they told me is my copay
They didn't bother to bill my secondary carrier.
They told me whatever my primary carrier pays is the amount due
I have screenshots for anyone who wants to see ZERO Due notices then huge bill later. SCAM
terrible
terrible, Experience they take the Money and technically Only Speak, Three Minutes, and say that I need to go to a doctor, so why I went to then they shouldn't be in Business.
The appointment lasted 2minutes due to…
The appointment lasted 2minutes due to the med person telling me she,(PRINCESS,) was her name couldn’t help me and to go to urgent care. It was for an eye infection. I said ok and verified there would be no CHARGE! She agreed and charged me anyway.
1st doctor kicked me out of the system…
1st doctor kicked me out of the system without seeing him. 2ed onr canceled me without notice, dont waste your time with this company they are a scam
Doctor on demand told me my insurance…
Doctor on demand told me my insurance would cover service. It was in network. Doctor on demand then refused to work with my insurance and I got stuck with a 600 dollar bill. Buyer beware. They may not take your tricare and have no problem sticking military and veterans with bills that are supposed to be covered. And instead of trying to resolve it, they will send you to collections. I had to pay to avoid losing my security clearance. Frauds!
terrible experience spoke to one doctor…
terrible experience spoke to one doctor who started well then he put the phone down then I called back and paid again and it happened again dont use this rip off company for anything
NO HELP AT ALL
TRIED to get help for my adult daughters panic attack this morning as she tried to go to her first CMA class. Feared working with others. She woke up and over an hour was sweating profusely, shaking, chills, rapid heartbeat, nausea.
Dr. on demand did have ONE suggestion, Just said we needed TO CALL AFTER $5 REGISTRATION FEE.
WHAT A JOKE. I GOT MORE INFO FROM GOOGLE
I would give 0 stars if I could never…
I would give 0 stars if I could never got the prescription they said they called in and didn't get the work note. I called and was given the run around about this and told I had to wait till the Provider came back in a week. I called the state and filed a complaint, and they told me I was not the first to complain. I was also about to get my bank to charge them back and got my money back, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!!!
Very poor service
Very poor service. Doctor was Indian & I don’t think she was even a doctor. I tried to speak as to what my condition was & she had the audacity to call me rude! & disconnected the call. Doctor was rude & refused to listen to the patient!! If you want a bandaid go to a pharmacy. Doctor on demand is a fraud! Do NOT USE doctor on demand!! They should not be practicing. They are a fraudulent organization! Shut them down!!
They charged me $170 because I logged in 5 minutes later.
I started with a therapist through my insurance. I logged in 5 minutes after my session because I got stuck in traffic and was driving. The system not only didnt let me see the therapist but I also spent untilimited amount of time on the phone and on emails and chats to get my money back and they wouldnt do it. I also cannot even email my therapist. I will cancel all future sessions and now I have to spend more time with my bank to get my money back. Embarrassing company
Charge of $30 for missing an appt I didn’t make…
This company charged me $30 for a visit I didn’t even set up. I tried to dispute it but they’re so hard up for money I suppose they needed the $30 they scammed me out of. I told them to cancel my account and I suggest no one use this app.
No customer assistance
I found the booking process with Doctors on Demand very easy and straightforward. However, I had a very poor experience when I needed the doctor’s notes to submit to my health insurance. Each of my emails took about a week to get a reply, and what should have been resolved in just a couple of days ended up taking four weeks. The customer service is practically nonexistent, which was extremely frustrating.
Inept nurse practitioners
Inept nurse practitioners. I am a diabetic patient and running out of my essentials medications like Humalog. Gave me a very hard time time ordering refill for essential medications.
Dr On Demand is horrible
Raminder Dhesi was rude, patronizing and condescending, lecturing me about medicines and kidney dialysis as well as talking over me as I tried to explain why I was short of medicine and had three changes to my insurance .
I tried to keep the conversation light, but she consistently talked over me and made me feel like a bad commercial interrupting her movie. She ignored my comments and was straight up inconsiderate. I cannot tolerate that kind of behavior from a medical professional. It is unacceptable.
She was younger than me and treated me like a fast food customer. I get it. It’s a 15 minute session, but honestly, I felt like a nuisance to her instead of a person who deserve respect and compassion. I was trying to get med refills and for my trouble I had to pay for a rude person who treated like I knew nothing and deserved less.
They don't help you. They just want your fee!
Quack said she couldn't help me. That i needed to go to urgent care. They don't take most insurance. They just want that fee!
Worst experience.
A joke.
Absolute sham of a service
Absolute sham of a service. $54. I called the incorrect number. Kevin Graham, NP stated I would receive a refund as the call lasted less than 1 minute. Doctor on Demand will not refund me. I have talked with SIX representatives. AVOID this service.
Do not use this service
I had issues with an appointment. I guess since their app was updated, it had logged me off several times. So in March 2025 in the middle of my appointment the screen went black and I could no longer hear the doctor, I asked for her to call me or text me if she could hear me but she didn't. I also tried to log off and back on to the visit which it let me do but the same thing happened once I was on, I could see her name and the timer as if we were connected but the screen was black and there was no sound. I have had a few appointments through their app with a couple of different doctors and this had never happened. I had even left them great reviews. I'm very upset about this because it was for my mental health & it got cut off short. Nobody reached out to help or explain and then to top it off I got charged for this visit. Once I complained several times they finally credited me back Now for over 2 months they are trying to bill me for the credit they gave me. I tried emailing them, nothing, called the number on the email that they sent now several times with the bill and after a long hold it disconnected me. Ridiculous BS, this is so very annoying that I now have to be concerned about this. This is something I originally paid for and was refunded to me because of their crappy app and service. Do not ever use them, I'm going to leave this on every review platform until they fix this issue and leave me alone.
