Our Labrador retriever used to walk us, despite our best efforts he was overly excited going out for a walk and would pull on his lead. We got Jimmy from dog pawfection to come out for four sessions and he now walks by your side and has much better focus on us. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs help with dog training

I came to Dog Pawfection for help with my nervous rescue dog. She was reactive with certain strangers, especially in her home environment. I am thrilled with the results in transforming her behaviour. In just a few sessions, Jimmy provided practical techniques and personalised guidance that made a real difference. Jimmy was patient, understanding, and truly compassionate, creating a positive and comfortable environment for both myself and my furry friend. Absolute game changer.

Jimmy is amazing, very friendly, professional and dedicated to helping people and their dogs.
My 4 year old Zuchon Kevin became reactive to my 14 year old daughter and some other children.
The situation escalated and the vet told me to put Kevin to sleep.
In a desperate state I temporarily rehomed him until I could find a decent trainer (others had been a waste of time in the past).

I came across Dog Pawfection on line and had an initial call with Jimmy and I knew from then I could Kev home and sort out the issues.
From the beginning Jimmy took time to listen and understand the problems. He has worked closely with my daughter to tackle the issues and help to rebuild trust.
I recommend Dog Pawfection to ANYONE looking for any help with their dogs.

Our English Springer Spaniel was attacked by another dog in January ‘22 and went from a happy, confident boy to a nervous and fearful boy! We couldn’t even walk across the street from another dog without a reaction and I was in tears almost every walk, I felt I’d lost my boy.

We worked with Josh over 3 sessions and the difference was astounding, learning who we needed to be, how to show up for Norbert and how to navigate any problems changed everything.

Since then, we have attended pack walks with both Jimmy and Josh and we’ve felt supported every step of the way.

Over the course of 2023, Norbert has been introduced to 4 dogs on different occasions who he has been walked with and done incredibly well, no reactions at all and existed in the same space calmly. Walking with our friends seemed like something we could only dream of but thanks to Dog Pawfection it’s something both us AND Norbert can enjoy now.

We’ve come so so far from our first session and I can’t wait to see where we can go from here.

I have been working with Jimmy as our trainer for around 18 months now. Jimmy is a fantastic trainer, he is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. We have been working on dog reactivity with one of my dogs and as a multi dog household, also putting in rules and boundaries within the home. The pack walks that are all clients can attend are also fantastic and attending them pushes you to continue to put the work in and stay motivated around like minded people. Without Jimmy’s help, I wouldn’t have had the confidence or knowledge to work through the issues we were having. Couldn’t recommend him highly enough to others!

When I decided I wanted and needed to make some changes, I trawled the internet to research how, and came across Jimmys account, DogPawfection, on Instagram. I watched countless videos and read lots of posts to see was this dog trainer to me, did I connect and believe in what they were saying and I really did! I was happy to recognise what I was already doing right but keen to learn and implement the things I wasn’t doing or I didn’t realise that I didn’t know. The first thing I implemented was the ‘break’ command and this was just through the quality of jimmys Instagram videos. We perfected or ‘pawfected’ our walking skills, re-introduced the crate and began to teach place. The biggest gift Jimmy gave to me was to think about how I was approaching things, the reminder to be consistent even when you don’t want to or it’s hard and how to be more mindful of how you approach your dog training and life in general. I finally got booked in ready to tackle the main issue we had, seperation anxiety. I chose to train with Josh, who was really helpful and patient and gave us lots of drills to practise focusing on my dog being separated from me in a healthy stepped approach.

I can’t finish this review without mentioning the invaluable benefit of the pack walks, it provides a sense of community and you can talk about your dog and their issues with like minded people who people want to make a difference and are willing to put in the hard work. I love it and we try to prioritise attendance at every one!

Jimmy and the Pawfection boys are absolutely amazing and dedicated dog and human psychologists. They rightly believe dog behaviour issues start with the owner first, hence their focus on this area initially. I feel this is where other dog behaviourist fall short. Jimmy has helped me so very much with all my rescue dogs who have had a mix of fear, aggression, lack of training, shyness etc. I was told by two other canine behaviouralists that my Border Collie should be put to sleep due to her level of aggression towards humans. Jimmy has helped me to turn her into a very loving, trusting, calm and amazing companion for which I (and she) will be forever grateful. Josh worked with our 2yr old, extremely anxious and fear reactive cocker spaniel in January 2021. He gave us the knowledge and the tools to help understand how to handle her on walks and around other dogs as walking her was a nightmare and embarrassing with her lunging and growling at every dog, big or small. Everything was explained to us clearly and broken down to how the dog would see certain situations which was so useful! Now, although she is still an anxious dog (she always will be) her confidence has grown massively on walks and her reactivity towards dogs has subsided. She is a happier dog and we are happier owners! It’s true what they say that they train the owners mostly and everything with the dog falls into place!
I can’t recommend Dog Pawfection enough, we were truly lost before we found Josh. The team are so knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and I recommend them to everybody I meet who is looking for a dog trainer.
The ongoing support is priceless too, we maintain our presence at the pack walks when we can and the community is amazing. Highly recommend!

Jimmy is amazing.
Our dog was traffic reactive lunging at any car or bike that came past us. We also needed help with her around the home with chasing shadows, begging for food and constant barking.
Jimmy gave us all the tools and advise we needed and showed us how to teach her how to exist in her surroundings. After the 3 sessions she was a different dog completely.
Jimmy is always there to answer any questions and give advice even after the sessions have finished. He does pack walks every month for free for clients which again you can get help and advice.
So glad I went with dog pawfection they are literally the best at what they do, I can’t recommend enough that you need to get in touch with them if you need help with your dog 🐕

I first used Dog Pawfection 5 years ago when I was struggling to get my French Bulldog to walk. Jimmy came to my home and sorted this out in the first session. I was so pleased with my experience I then returned to Jimmy when I rejoined a 6 month old French Bulldog who was reactive to both people and dogs. Jimmy listen to my concerns and we got to work. If you are struggling with any aspect of your dogs behaviour, I wouldn’t hesitate to contact Jimmy.

Having a 9 year old basset who tried to lunge and bite continuously at us… strangers… dogs… anything…was taking over our lives 😔 we thought we’d have to give her up, then I found Dog Pawfection.

We (still) can't thank Jimmy enough… please be prepared though, it’s down to you as the owner to put the work in but when you do it really pays off!!

I had followed Dogpawpefection online for a long time before I approached him to work with and my dog ( Ruby)

Once the XL bully legislation was announced I knew I needed to do something to keep my dog safe. My main worries were lead walking and correctly introducing a muzzle.

I got Ruby from the rescue centre at 8 weeks old and attended all their puppy classes. I can honestly say the information I got from Jimmy was more advance, in-depth and educational and instantly made a huge to difference to our walks. After 1 session, I was walking Ruby, not Ruby walking me.

The booking process was really easy. Meg was really helpful and ensured my sessions fitted around my shift work.

Jimmy was really friendly, knowledgeable and non judgmental. The training I got from Jimmy has given me the confidence to walk my dog and feel in control.

I get loads of compliments about how well behaved Ruby is both in and out the house.
She will happily sit in her place when we have visitors around.

I followed their page for a while and finally contacted them for help and it was the best thing I could have done. They have so much knowledge and break everything down to help you understand. I have learnt so much from them, things you would never even think of, but it all makes so much sense!

Even after finishing our sessions with Josh, the ongoing support is amazing, they are always there to help! The pack walks are so good for the continued support too, with Jimmy always willing to answer any questions.

Josh helped me with a very reactive GSD. Walks where becoming a chore due to Jack's behaviour. He gave me the tools to deal with this behaviour whilst out and about on our daily walk.
We now attend the pack walks with a happier dog (and owner).

We worked with Jimmy in May 2022 with our nervous rescue dog who came from Romania, she is human reactive, noise reactive and wouldn’t leave our drive as she was too scared to go on a walk. We was advised by a vet to medicate her and not actually tackle the problems. After working with Jimmy, she’s now a happy confident walker and is so relaxed (no medication needed!). She still has issues but we are working on with the advice Jimmy has given us. He goes above and beyond to help and I’ve messaged a few times with questions and he’s always been happy to answer! One of the best things we’ve done is training with dog pawfection! Thank you :)
