My RV Refrigerator freezer door plastic hinge broke and they say it is an assembly so I ordered one because they said it was in stock at $171. After 2 weeks I called and they said there were none in stock and that I would get one when it is available. A year past and then they tried to charge my CC but it was denied. I called them and they have no idea who tried to charge the CC but I could order the part again with none in stock again but now the part is over $300 and no idea when ii will get is. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. So if you buy there product and need a part good luck.
This company does nor reply to support requests or answer their phone number in South Africa. Have requested support for a 2 plate stove twice with no answer. Stay away.
What a joke I have the dometic 320 series toilet hardly used the foot pedal broke the half ball won't open they do not sell the half ball they want $459 for a new toilet this is a scam !!
I contacted you Dometic 14 days ago via mail and you have the decency not to reply. If that is the way forward for increased sales, then I must disappoint you. It was a simple question regarding your products in awnings. Really need spare parts for my awning. If it doesn't exist, I'll have to throw this one out just like I threw away my air awning. So please reply. Jan Feld Denmark

Dometic toilet in caravan, valve fail, bought new parts only to find Dometic toilet from china, Dometic replacement part from Australia ‘incompatible’, no help at all. totally upset with this, need our toilet daily, travelling outback Australia
If it were possible Dometic would get -5 from me. Their so called “support” is non existing. You are only receiving short, and very rude answers. No help at all.
I have been having some trouble with my portable fridge, and I have not been getting any help from them. They have not been answering any of my questions that I have about it.
Stay away from this company. Very unprofessional.

I have a Dometic RM6270 three way fridge in my motorhome and need to find a Dometic Caravan FridgeFunction/Selector Knob 2412137008. Every company i contact for dometic spare parts including Dometic uk say the same thing, and that is that as the fridge is 20 years old the control knob is no longer available and i will have to replace the fridge!!! How stupid is that, just because the company cannot find a simple knob that fits the spindle i have to scrap a perfectly good working fridge.£20 TO £30 FOR A KNOB AGAINST £800 PLUS FOR A NEW FRIDGE SUPPLIED AND FITTED.Come on the experts at dometic, put your thinking caps on and come up with a solution for your customer.
minus 1 review. Bought a Dometic Club Air 390s All Season Air Awning. March 2022. June 2022 notified Dometic of blue drop type marks on the windows. filled in form sent photos of these marks. NO REPLY.... We first erected the awning March 2022 till November 2022. So Forgot abot the blue marks. Folded up and stored in our living room in home till required again march 2023, erected still showing these slightly translucent marks, tried again cleaning with plain water and a soft sponge, to no avail, marks remained. Anyway come April these marks then became sticky rough to touch, and cloudy to look through, Windows should be clear!. Not in tree line so not tree sap, not in direct sunlight, because facing North by North East, so not sun scorched. May 2023 the 2 windows on the left became fully cloudy ( so we have a privacy coverage now.) end of May the front 2 windows started to cloud over. June came and a memory came up on my phone to say remember these photo's. Yep the bluey windows. So tried again contacting Dometic Customer Services via Email, NO REPLY. as a thought i contacted the retailer, who has been exceptionally helpful. They asked me to forward to them the mails i had sent to dometic and they then mailed it off to their contact at Dometic. Anyway this has been on going backwards and forwards, Dometic say 12 months guarantee, I replied with it is an ALL SEASON should be better than this. They wanted receipt. Spent an hour and half in the bank where we are ALL SEASON, they can only go back 12 months unless do on-line banking. Error we are over 70years old and dont trust that. So maybe we need to do a round trip of 500 miles to get receipt. Still not satisfactory out of warranty. Section 75 on credit card doesnt help at all. MORAL IS DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY A DOMETIC AWNING. RUBBISH CUSTOMER SERVICE, ABOMBNABLE PRODUCTS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. Plus a reply which is meaningless.....

Terrible customer service. Zero warranty because they force you through a “certified repair center.” Dometic only covers the part. The labor will cost more at my local ripoff RV shop, than the water heater did!
Bought a new wh-6gea December 2022. July 2023 the brain board has failed. I do lots of real life troubleshooting...the brain has failed. Dometic basically told me to screw myself as evidently they hold you over hot coals by forcing you to an overpriced RV repair shop for any warranty work.
But... they don’t cover labor or travel. They only cover the failed part. You are stuck paying a huge bill, when THEIR product has failed, UNDER WARRANTY, due to poor engineering.
$125 later I got a new control board off Amazon. Much cheaper than the RV shop’s bill would have been. Repairs are easy...not exactly rocket science. I expected Dometic to stand behind their products. They do not.
Do NOT buy any Dometic product for your RV. I wish I could reverse my purchase.

Don't ever buy products from Dometic. I tried both a fridge and an A/C unit.
The fridge was sent to me and was broken and would not cool. They sent me TWO MORE fridges and all of them were broken, dented and would not cool.
I ended up going with Iceco and loved it.
The second purchase I made was a Dometic RTX 2000 and the only reason I did is theirs is the only one on the market that seems to use 12volt power at a reasonable level for boon docking. It was use lower power which is great! But it doesn't actually cool anything. Worked fine for a week or two and took it out on a trip and failed immediately when it was warm.
I emailed them and all they are saying is because it was installed on a van they won't help me. Takes days for them to respond. Do yourself a favor if you are a DIYer like a lot of us are just skip them for a company with better service and products that work as advertised.

I have been asked to add further details regarding my very bad review of Dometic but after I entered my details I pressed the return key before adding information as I cannot get back to the page I will place this further review.
Dometic now seem keen to have some contact with me, it's a pity they didn't do that in the first place.
I have caravanned for about 50 years and purchased all new caravans, the last few have been Coachman apart from the last one they were all fitted with Thetford toilets.
The Dometic toilet fitted to my last caravan had a chunky piece of plastic which you have to pull out in order to allow waste to drop into the lower waste cassette, whilst sitting on the toilet this is quite difficult to pull out and when it is out in between your legs it is very easy to knock your legs on the rigid square corners, vastly inferior to the Thetford system.
After about a year the flushing pump failed. To access this pump the complete toilet has to be removed. Firstly working outside on the screw fixings, then removing all the sealant securing the water filler, then working inside to lift the unit up and away from the wall securing brackets, then at last the pump can be found and changed. Replacing is a reverse of the procedure which I witnessed. Unfortunately over time the toilet crept away from the wall, I suspect that the metal bracket fitted to the caravan wall was loosened in the struggle to replace it. This was replaced under warranty.
I soon learnt to ignore the warning lights on the top of the toilet as they came on and off at will regardless of actual levels of liquids or cassette replacement. All new Coachman caravans are again fitted with the Thetford toilet which I think sums it up.
Now to the very expensive refrigerator model number AML 10 4T serial number 14100017 fitted to my current Coachman purchased new in 2022.
After a couple of months I opened the door and was fortunately quick enough to catch it before it fell off completely and that experience was permanent on one side of opening. It seems looking at various posts that this was a common problem. I emailed Dometic but never received a reply. The caravan was returned to the dealer Couplands caravans who resolved the problem by fitting a packing piece under the refrigerator. It seems that the hinges or base is not strong enough to support the door.
On 4th. of June we left for a 3 week holiday to Scotland when the heatwave started.
On11th of June the refrigerator died completely, all fuses and connections at the back of the refrigerator all in order, with a temperature in the caravan in the high 20's food now going to waste.
I attempted to contact Dometic through their web site where they talk about keeping moving and response times, but as per usual no reply or response.
On 12th of June I contacted Couplands caravans who put on a fitter to speak with me but the fault could not be found. Rather than cancel our holiday I purchase a cool box at about £70.00 with a round trip of about 50 miles.
Couplands contacted a Dometic who apparently were not interested in reimbursing the cost of the cool box or doing anything to assist, however Couplands put me in contact with a Dometic rep. who tried to talk me through removing the top facia panel of the refrigerator, but I was unable to do this. He did say he would look into getting the problem resolved when we returned home and he would get back to me, but you guessed it, he didn't.
On my return home I liaised again with Couplands as a result of which one of their team spent about an hour on the phone explaining how to get the top panel off. As the packer had earlier been installed to support the week hinges the refrigerator had been moved up slightly which did not allow enough space to remove the top panel of the refrigerator. So I had to remove the door, all fixings on the sides, the base plate and packing strip, which allowed the refrigerator to drop sufficiently to remove the top panel.
Immediately I could see the problem, the connector on the end of the ribbon cable was laying on top of the refrigerator, when I plugged it into the empty socket, the refrigerator burst into life. I would suggest that either it was never fully pushed in or it is another poor quality sloppy fitting.
So all I had to do then was reverse the procedure and wait for the next problem.
Full marks to Couplands caravans for doing all they could to assist me and deal with my frustrations trying to get some response from Dometic, which seems to be an impossible task until you give a public review. Judging by other reviews I am certainly not alone .

Terrible products and customer service. Product failed exactly on 30 days, and have refused to even look at unit for 3 months. Will have to purchase different product just to get by!! Contacted Dometic numerous times for the past 2 months... each week it's a new sad apology but no parts or refund provided. Will have to contact bank to get refund for failed item. NEVER USE DOMETIC

Do this company make anything that is fit for purpose, because their toilets, fridge/freezers and window blinds certainly aren't

All Dometic 300 toilets leak sewage internally and will stink up your RV. Their Customer Support pretends they don’t know about this design problem; even though it’s discussed all over the internet. RV manufacturer s install them because they’re cheap. Not worth fixing and best to replace with another brand.
I bought a Dometic Hub from a retailer (UBC) in June 2021. Short version is that it leaked in several places every time it rained. We had planned a twelve week travel around the UK and France in our Campervan. Because of the problems we had to start booking accommodation each time it forecast rain. We did write to Dometic and sent them photos, but it was quite some time before they got back to us. We had to send it back for a water test where it was confirmed the Hub did leak (as if the photos didn’t make it obvious). We asked Dometic and the retailer (UBC) for our money back but neither were prepared to do this. Instead we have to take a replacement Hub. In fairness Dometic will water test the new hub before they send it out. However given the experience we have had I just have no confidence in the product.
It looks great and when we had it pitched we always got other campers wanting to have a look. We did advise people to not buy one and will continue to advise people against the Hub.
Hopefully we will have a better experience with the new Hub but Dometic are not prepared to give any guarantees. They just said they were confident with the product. But aren’t prepared to pay for accommodation if the new one does leak again.
Please keep your fingers crossed for us but what ever you do I wouldn’t buy one.
On-line support sucks at best. I have an RV that has 2 Brisk 2 a/c units and wanted to install a soft start system. We boondock camp ALOT and want to run the a/c system on generators. The person on the phone told me that they are not necessary and did not need them WRONG you absolutely need them. I was hoping for a recommendation on one to get but that is not happening. I have several Dometic products and I am disappointed in there customer service or the lack thereof.
Our Dometic wine cabinet is equipped with wooden shelves.
One of them broke, and had to be replaced.
More than 4 months later, no replacement.
Follow up and support zero
I had a problem with my fridge in my caravan. Doug and Scott from technical/warrenty were really helpful they responded quickly and helped sort out the problem. Top marks.
