DOMU..brought a gazebo for the coronation…
brought a gazebo for the coronation weekend having disabled children for Sunday tea, part of the leg was broken and we tried to contact Domu WHO doesn't take phone messages grrrrr emailed..ok so still went up and we thought maybe just maybe it will hold, and after looking for things to hold it down because there were no leg weights as stated in the advert we got it up. Then a gust of wind no stronger than 12 mph decided nope your going to take off and in the process brake the bird stand that has been there for a few years and seen off some bad storms and is now in half in the bin grrrr ...STAY AWAY FROM THEM
Sturdy, attractive, and quick to ship!
After reading the reviews for this company on Trustpilot, I thought I'd made a massive mistake, but I'm glad to see this isn't the case. I bought a blanket box from them through B&Q - they sent it to Evri quickly, (Evri took a little longer than I'd like to deliver, but that's another issue.) Once it arrived and I opened the box, I had all the pieces I needed, it didn't look damaged in any way, and the instructions were pretty easy to understand. I managed to put it up myself, although I definitely would've benefitted from a second pair of hands to make it easier/quicker. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, which looks great now it's up and sitting by the window. It seems sturdy and fit for purpose, so hopefully, the quality holds up!
AVOID DOMU BRANDS
Placed an order via B&Q. Will NEVER order online again via a 3rd company as their awful. Domu Brands have a telephone number that automatically goes to voicemail, which tells you to email them. Sent 3 messages. All got ignored. They never posted my item & ignored all contact. Got to fight for my refund now via B&Q. AVOID DOMU BRANDS

Fraudulent
Order days late. I gave up my day off to receive the delivery as you must be in the house it it is taken away again. Day off wasted.
Communication from courier non-existent.
Wrong parts sent.
Took over two weeks to get correct parts sent out.
Late again.
The replacement parts could not be sent separately so a whole new unit was sent, which they agreed to collect.
Eventually I built the unit but the drawer sticks out by two inches so doesn’t close meaning pre-drilled holes were wrongly measured.
I’ve had to buy an electric drill to fix it myself.
It’s been 10 working days since the agreed collection date so the unit has been sitting outside my house for nearly two weeks.
It’s 4ft and 35kg therefore I cannot dispose of it myself.
The company is now refusing to collect it altogether.

I ordered a tv wall bracket, it arrived extremely fast and was well packaged. The backet was excellent quality but unfortunately was not right for where I had intended it to be installed. Reading some reviews on here I expected trouble getting my money back. Having had no reply to an earlier mail I mailed again, and was asked to check my spam folder. There was a respose from DOMU, the same day as my initial mail, giving me full instructions on how to return the product. Having done so the money was back in my account in a timely manner, I was even sent a mail confirming that the refund had been sent. Excellent customer service.
Just the worst
Just the worst. Poor quality products and the company will end up causing you a major headache. Sent me a cabinet with parts missing then sent another one for me to take the parts out of that one then return it. Ended up having to return both. Arranged collection 4 times, had to stay at home with 2 massive parcels taking all the space in my home with a baby and nobody is coming to collect it. Please at least give me my money back and let me put that rubbish in the bin!

I ordered two products from the Vonhaus website via Domu.One of them unfortunately contained a broken part.The customer service responded immediately to the complaint, sent a replacement and offered to collect the defective product. I am completely satisfied with their problem solving skill.

Extremely poor service, potentially fraud
I purchased a bookshelf on Vonhaus (one of the Domu brands) online and the item is faulty. Sent three emails to their support team and still NIL response. Called the Domu Brands hotline but it directed me to the email contact again.

Terrible service, anti-right to repair
Terrible service, anti-right to repair, and they don't care for the environment/landfill waste one bit - don't buy Domu brands (VonHaus especially) if you care about the environment, waste, or the future they're making for your children.
I bought the 45L Pedal Recycling Bin (the one with the 3 sections) based on the excellent reviews. It's also one of their most popular products. Skip ahead a few years and one of the three bin lids breaks because of a design flaw - where the pedal arm attaches to the lid, is a very small plastic loop to hold the arm. This can snap very easily. Picture attached.
Now, all this needs is a replacement lid. one lid. It probably costs a few pence worth of plastic to make. It's not worth replacing *THE ENTIRE BIN* for, right? Well... wrong, according to Domu Brands. They don't carry spare/replacement parts, they can't put you in contact with the manufacturers, and they won't replace it as its deemed wear/tear. So they think the only option is to throw away the *entire* bin, and you have to buy a new one.
Absolutely disgusting policy and service. Domu co-founders Mark Januszewski and Craig Foster should be ashamed of how they conduct their company.
Officially the worst customer experience
Officially the worst customer experience I’ve ever had!!!!!!! Bought a fire pit if they’re eBay store. Had no updates as to where it was or when delivery was. Then one day the I’m off et item gets left on my doorstep…a shelving unit. I contacted Domu through eBay and I was told a replacement was sent out. Again no updates and this is nearly a month after ordering. One day another parcel shows up at my doorstep and this time it’s a set of two chairs, again the complete wrong item!!!!! Unbelievably frustrating to get hold of. Still not been resolved!! Avoid at all costs

Wish I'd looked at these reviews before ordering anything, lesson learnt. Ordered an item through their eBay store, they chose Evri as the courier (never a good idea) and of course Evri "lost" the package. At this point no harm done by domu and I assumed they'd want answers too and to get this sorted... Nope. They couldn't care less. They keep ignoring my emails and no way of calling anyone. Luckily with it being through eBay they have the guarantee so I should be getting my money back soon but it's not the point. Wasn't even domu's issue to begin with but they're completely reluctant to resolve it. Not sure what they're achieving by holding onto my money for a little while longer as they must be aware that eBay will take it back off them soon. Just seems like a game to these people.
Domu translates to Crap
I would rather insert hot poker's in too each of my eye's than use this company again. The word inept does little to explain how bad they are. The sooner consumers get the message of how bad they are and stop using them and hopefully bankrupting them, the sooner the world will be a better place. Buy nothing from them, you have been warned.
