I recently purchased this bariatric cushion and I couldn’t be happier with it. From the moment it arrived – which was impressively quick, just a day after I ordered – I knew I’d made the right choice. The delivery was so fast and efficient that I was able to start using it almost immediately, which made a real difference.
The cushion itself is excellent. It’s firm enough to give proper support, yet soft enough to stay comfortable for long periods of sitting. I’ve struggled in the past with cushions that flatten too quickly or don’t provide the right level of comfort, but this one feels durable and well made. It distributes weight evenly, which helps relieve pressure, and I’ve noticed far less discomfort in my hips and lower back since I started using it.
The size is generous and perfect for bariatric use, giving that extra bit of stability and reassurance. The cover is practical too – easy to wipe down and keep clean, which is a real bonus.

A recent eye test had a suggestion that I check my blood pressure and I was keen to get a hypertension society listed device that would also upload the figures to my phone.

Dorset had the omron device I wanted in stock and quickly dispatched from the uk with emails indicating order progress. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

Very pleased I can add a public review. I ordered a hospital bed and chair for mum who we were assuming would be discharged with a care package for her re-ablement. The office team were great and straightforward to deal with. You just call and get a real person, and someone who knows what they need to know.

Delivery crew were great both in the delivery but also the collection, which was much more challenging.

Mum died while in hospital, which was not expected and extremely distressing to my dad. My sister-in-law called the company and asked if the bed and chair could be collected on that same day before my dad got home from the hospital. The team did this and were superb. I cannot say how much it means to us that this happened. Thank you all.

I've used Dorset Nursing Supplies for quite a few years now and always found them to be really personable and great with deliveries and stock. In my experience things have slowly been slipping. There isn't anywhere near as much stock choice on the website and deliveries are coming incomplete or split with no prior warning that some items might be delayed by 4-5 days or so. For example ordering 2 boxes of 10 masks and only receiving 2 masks. The delivery boxes are often pretty battered too. It's a shame.
