Technology convenience, all in one place!

I love my Dot card, it’s easy to use, simple to set up, and it’s effective. You can put all your ways of contact in one place, edit it for a weekend let’s say and back again on Monday very easy. I use mine for work, it’s better than a paper business card!

Dot card just speaks for itself

So far so good. I didn’t know how great this card was until I pulled it out and show it to my friends and share my information with a simple dot. I love it and I can’t wait for my next annual meeting with my colleagues and students.

All my businesses in one place! Genius!

I wear many "hats" in having several businesses. The Dot model allowed me to put everything in one place! It's genius! I ordered one Thin Dot Card. The check out was simple, emails were informative and the set up was surprisingly very easy, even for someone like me who's not very tech savvy. So far, everyone who has scanned my Dot card has been so impressed and very complimentary. They love it and so do I! I especially love that I don't have to scrounge around for paper cards anymore! Thanks, Dot!

Dot Bands do not work as advertised for Samsung Galaxy S24

Our Dot Bands do not work as advertised. We have Samsung Galaxy S24. Instead of "save contact" we have an "exchange contact" button and a down arrow. The only way to "save" is to select the down arrow which downloads the info to your Files app, and then you have to import it as a contact. I've complained to Dotcards and they said, yes, you're right, it's not working properly but there's nothing we can do about it. So it works, but not as advertised. Disappointed.
Update 1-18-25: I sent DotCards a copy of my review and they found a work-around!! I asked why they hadn't told me that solution in the many times I talked to them before. Nonetheless, our Dot Bands are working as they should now. I guess the lesson learned is not to give up if you don't get the answer you're seeking.

Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your experience. The behavior you’re describing sounds like the default "Exchange Contact" setting, which can be adjusted. If you’d prefer to have "Save Contact" as the main button, you can disable the "Exchange Contact" feature in the Dot Profile settings. This should resolve the issue.

Additionally, have you had the chance to test the Dot Band with any other phones? The expected functionality is that when the file is downloaded, it should allow the contact to be added directly to the contact book.

Let us know if adjusting the settings helps or if there’s anything else we can assist with. We want to make sure you have the best possible experience with Dot Bands.

I think it is terrible!

I think it is terrible!! It is such a great idea and so poorly executed. The interface that your new contact uses is klunky and confusing. It should simply say, "Add Contact". Also, mine never seems to actually work. After it has told me that it successfully added the contacts, I look in the phone's contacts and I am not there.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you’ve experienced—it’s clear that we didn’t meet your expectations, and we want to make this right.

Your points about the interface and functionality are very important to us. Our team is actively working on updates to improve the user experience, including making the process of adding contacts more intuitive.

Regarding your concerns:

If you prefer not to have the contact exchange feature active, you can easily disable it from your settings.
Additionally, if you’re trying to save your own contact to your phone, that may cause an error since your contact already exists in your contact book.
We’d love to investigate further to ensure everything is working as it should. Could you please reach out to us at support@dotcards.net so we can assist you directly? Your input is invaluable in helping us improve, and we’d love to ensure you have a seamless experience going forward.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your patience as we work to make things better.

Review for DotCard Band

As a Canine Care Specialist, I'm always on the move with other people's dogs, so having a convenient way to share my business information is crucial. The dotcard band has been a game-changer for me! It's incredibly convenient to not need a business card with me at all times, and even better, I don't have to worry about forgetting my dotcard.

The band allows me to effortlessly share my business information on the go, making it perfect for my busy and active lifestyle. It's a fantastic tool that ensures I'm always prepared to connect with potential clients, no matter where I am. Highly recommend it for anyone who needs a reliable and convenient way to share their contact information on the fly!

Thick cases seem to be an issue

My only issue with the card is that some phones won't pick up the contact. I think thick protective cases seem to shield it. There should also be a bigger "save contact" button when the recipient receives the contact. But I have to say it's incredibly useful and I love using it!

Poor site security

I went to set up the card by using the QR code on the back of the card. By doing that I should have been assured of going to a legitimate site. However, during the setup process and while seemingly on their site, I was unknowingly sent to another website that asked for my credit card number. I foolishly did that and was charged $49.99. It was a scam that I fortunately caught and the credit card company removed the charge but I was forced to get a new card which was a major inconvenience because I had so many recurring charges linked to the card. When I told Dot about this they were polite but otherwise unhelpful. They would not admit that there was a problem with their site even though there clearly is. In fact, I did some research and found that the site has a low security rating. I am returning the card for a refund but they are still going to deduct $5.00 from the refund per their policy even though the problem I had was plainly their fault. That is bad customer relations. Caveat emptor!

Hello Robert,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience and frustration you’ve faced. We understand how upsetting it can be to deal with a fraudulent charge and then have to replace your credit card on top of everything else.

From what you’ve described, it does sound like the issue may have originated from a malicious third-party QR code scanner app. Unfortunately, we do not control how third-party apps handle QR code redirects, and scammers can sometimes exploit those apps to send users to illegitimate websites. That’s why we encourage using only the native QR scanner on your smartphone or a reputable, pre-installed QR scanning feature.

We want to assure you that we maintain rigorous security standards on our end to protect our users’ data. However, when a malicious app or website is involved, it can bypass our measures and misdirect customers before they ever reach our official site. We understand how frustrating it is when this happens, and we regret that it impacted your experience with us.

Regarding the $5.00 deduction from your refund, we understand your concerns and acknowledge how it may feel unfair in light of what happened. We continuously review our policies to ensure they are fair to our customers, and your feedback will be part of that ongoing conversation.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future, and we appreciate you taking the time to let us know about this issue.
