Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 25 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the delivery service, citing issues such as delayed parcels, missed deliveries despite being home, and drivers not following instructions or providing inaccurate delivery updates. Customers also found the customer service unhelpful, often receiving automated responses or encountering staff who were unable to resolve their issues. Some people were dissatisfied with the staff, describing them as unhelpful and arrogant, and noting that the quality of service often depended on the individual driver's work ethic. Dreadful service and utter failure to deliver

What a truly dreadful experience. I sent some goods to Austria using Parcel Monkey (sent 21-7-21) to arrange for collection and delivery via DPD. The goods were properly packaged and 5 copies of a signed and stamped commercial invoice placed in a wallet fixed to the parcel baring all the correct and necessary information.

The goods got as far as Port Hesingue in France and were held in customs for several days then rejected.

Initially it was said that this was because of missing customs paperwork. Then it was said that Customs did not like the commercial invoice. After several more days of trying to find out what the problem was with the paperwork (no actual reason was ever given) DPD told us they needed a new commercial invoice to progress delivery and asked asked that I provide one, I did so on the 29th of July, it took DPD that long to ask for this and it was provided the same day. The parcel was supposed to be delivered in 4-5 days at most.

No further progress was made and we heard nothing for a further 7 days despite asking for progress several times.

Then we heard that they were processing the parcel for return. It was returned to me today (17-8-21) still with the original commercial invoices which looked as if they had never even been removed from the wallet throughout this sorry saga.

I would think carefully about using this company if you want to send good to EU destinations. I had to rebuild the order and send it via another courier, all this took 4 days against DPD who took almost an entire month to get the goods to France and back. They took my money, wasted my time and almost damaged my reputation with my customer. I am not impressed!

It's not very surprised the amount of…

It's not very surprised the amount of negative review about dpd has in my case the level of support and experience extremely outrageous and disgusting . The company feel it's ok to do what they done .

Dear Mr Marc allera CEO for EE plus CEO for dpd too .

First of all my do accept my apologies for emailing you this morning .

I am sure emails from customer and new customer would not be appreciated.

In any case I would like to ask you personally why the following level of support being offered from EE and customer relationship department in question too .

I am of the view that you would aspect you're direct staff to help where possible and make sure customer services is being addressed.

This this is the case then why have I received the amount of extremely outrageous and unhelpful support and being out of pocket on regards to dpd too .

On 25 July 21 I taken out a new contract with EE mobile I WISH I Never NOW !!!!!!

The contract was going to arrive on 26 july 21 by dpd .

This never happened waited in all day from around 8 am to 17.45 pm contact dpd on more than 4 times approximately and kept getting fob off in regards to being told different stories.

On 27 July 21 dpd never sent me s one time slot and the parcel did arrive when I didn't know what time it's coming at all .

When I called dpd they said they drop it back to me never did .

I missed two planed appointment which in total £150.00 out of pocket .

Also to add damage items package from dpd and paper work too .

To add to the mix dpd complaint department keep fobing the blame back to EE .

EE offer me £60.00 which dpd are not paying the rest .

My point I would like to ask you why you think this acceptable to have such rubbish company who clearly cause problems with customers for example dpd .

Also why EE knowing I am out of pocket reflused to understand and help with the problem over taking a contract out in the first place .

The EE customer relations department outrageous experience and support plus understanding.

Please do look at this email and take this seriously and on board please .

I would appreciate an direct response which I might not get but if you cared about EE customer rather than money who will reach out

It's clearly the case EE happy to take my money when there's a problem quick to hide and refused to help .

Kind regards

EE customer and wish I am NOT !!!!

8606

Ps I am CC dpd CEO in to this email too

I will be putting this online for people to see because this level of extremely shocking experience has s new customer I feel people need to see . Also same for dpd too.

Can I also say maybe you need to get rid of dpd if this how they serve and treat EE customer and there service just the same has EE .

Dpd lied yet again

Dpd lied yet again, they was meant to deliver a iPad today from a well known company. Waited all day until 2pm and status changed to they tried to deliver etc. They went yet again to wrong area but same road name. I called the company who called them and they said they spoke to driver who would try again, so wait for them. I explained the correct area etc. Came to around 4pm and do delivery so looked up local Chelmsford number and called. I was told they contacted driver and gave my number to call if needed directions and they said estimated time was 6pm. Got to 7pm and no delivery, so I called again and was told he had one more delivery to do and would be on way. Time is now 11pm and no delivery. I get this most times and am fed up with being lied to. The only service I like is Royal Mail as they know the area. This happens too many times now and have had enough. Be Warned. Do Not Use.

Failed delivery to Germany

My Company, Indigo Awnings Ltd has attempted to send 14 rolls of fabric to our German suppliers. We have spend 6 months working on a very high profile project in London and won the £36,00 contract. However, due to fabric shortages (heavy duty acrylic canvas) across Europe we had to purchase what we could in the UK and send it to Germany, what a mistake even considering DPD. Our good arrived in the Netherlands and despite numerous paperwork checks with export body's in the UK it was rejected by customs in Holland. We are now close to two weeks since we were notified of the fact that the consignment but despite close to 100 calls by my staff, we are nowhere. My office manager has literally spent hours on the phone to DPD International team, promised calls are never returned and we are still none the wiser as to why this has not got to the destination, loads of excused but absolutely no results. It is likely that we will now lose this project. DPD is owned by Geopost Ltd and I am about to write to their CEO and other Directors because our "Area manager" who one would assume could sort this mess out, hasn't even bothered to make contact with us. What a shambles and at huge cost to ourselves in both reputation and costs.

DPD Van Damaged My Car And Run Away.

DPD courier hit my car and drove away causing a damage to my vehicle. The car was firmly parked outside my friend’s house on the road. There are two witnesses to this situation who claim that they saw the moment of occurrence. They stated that the courier delivered a package to their neighbors’ house and whilst carelessly reversing, he hit my car resulting in damaging 4 panels, doors and both wings, mirror and cut one tire. I contacted DPD and made them aware of the incident. They have given my number to the courier sub-contractors and was told that I would be contacted as soon as the van returns to the depot. I had pointed out that the possible reason for the driver to escape might had been the fact of him being under the influence of alcohol or other substances. Following this further, I had suggested that It would had been better if they called the driver and asked him to return to the depot as soon as it is possible. My suggestion was turned down and I was left highly disappointed whilst realizing that delivery of parcels and meeting daily targets were more important than the health and property of members of a public.
I waited all day hoping to resolve the situation however, no one had contacted me. I decided to go to the DPD depot the following day only to be informed that the driver did not admit to the damages that he had caused to my vehicle and that there were no signs of the damage left on the van. I was able to take pictures of the van and despite the fact that it had been polished thoroughly, there were still visible traces of the occurrence. I had even provided DPD with CCTV recordings of the incident of my friend neighbors. In the light of above, the driver still does not plead guilty to the incident. DPD Cardiff better to avoid, they will come to deliver the package and destroy the car at the same time. NO THANKS

BrewDog Order - Resealed and half empty box

Ordered a BrewDog box and it came resealed with DPD tape at the bottom. After the DPD guy had run away, I opened the box and half the items were missing inside.

Making sure I go to Tesco’s for my beer in future and avoid getting them stolen in transit.

Lost or stole my 5 parcels!!!

Sent 6 parcels on 22nd March from UK to Portugal.
6 parcels with all my belongings. Today is already the 29th April and I still have no idea where my parcels are and EVEN IF, I WILL EVER GET MY BELONGINGS BACK!!!

Paid 141.50€ for taxes and duties in March for the parcels to clear customs and still have not receive them!!! They have been scan as "returned by customer" on 7th April to be sent back to UK with no reason!! And since then, nothing! No updates, no tracking information!!!

Tried compaints, phonecalls, emails and the only thing I have is the financial loss you have caused me, headaches and a lot of stress!!

How can a company act like this and still be able to continue working?! Don't you say to your customers that you are the delivery experts?
How can I trust you and your service if I can see the huge number of customers who complain about the same problem on Facebook/Trusted reviews?

Now I have a huge financial loss and I will be contacting a company that defends customer's rights and I will hand this case over to a lawyer!! You are liars, thieves!

Believe me, I had enough!!!!!!!!

I wish i was able to give a a star…

I wish i was able to give a a star rating of minus 1000, DPD should be avoided at all cost, they will lose your parcel and deliver a totally different one, take 4 months and still not resolve the issue then tell you that their app shipping team have emailed you (even though they havent) and that you need to contact them, but will not give your an email address or a tellephone number. They will also refuse to let you speak to a supervisor. appaling customer service.

My experience with DPD has been one of…

My experience was one of Godawful suffering. They are totally indifferent to any customer problems. They lost a very expensive parcel. Between collection from the pick-up shop to their depot. They needed endless chasing up and have just come back with nothing other than apologies and - case closed. Their entire method of operation is beyond dreadful. I would advise you to avoid anything to do with DPD. They are abysmal beyond measure. I lost £815. I should have delivered it myself.

DPD Group - Dont Bother. Hard to contact and they dont call back.

I was trying to ask DPD if they would like to do the fulfilment operation for my company. I sent the relevant facts and figures to their sales department email address on their website. I received an automated response with a case number and then Nothing.
I waited a week, called and eventually got through to someone who told me the relevant person only worked afternoons but they would get them to call me. And the Nothing
I waited a week and rang. I was told Andrew in Sales would call me back and then Nothing
I waited a week and rang. I was told Sadie would call me back. I sent the information to Sadie and received an auto-reply saying she was on a course. I have not had a return call.
4 weeks from the initial enquiry and no one has even spoken to me.

Have been sending EU parcels via DPD…

Have been sending EU parcels via DPD for about 10 days now.

They have started to trickle back and are marked as delivered. My customers thought they were out for delivery.

The reason RTC NO DATA?

I attached four copies of Customs Invoices to each parcel.

Information included:

My name
My email
My telephone number

My EORI
Currency
Date
Unique invoice number
Shipping weight
Consignment number

Customer name
Customer address
Customer phone
Customer email

Goods description including material
Country of origin
HS number

Goods value
Shipping cost

Declaration to state that goods do not contravene etc etc

My signature
My position
Shipping date

Does anyone know what else I need to send to Ireland?

All of the above was also entered electronically upon booking.

DPD have made it impossible to speak with a human operator.

What is the point of returning the parcel if I don't know how I can rectify the issue?

Fedex and parcelforce were able to deliver with my parcels formatted as above.

Complete shambles.

Failed to deliver in every sense.

I arranged to have a parcel collected from my U.K. address to be sent to my son in Denmark. It was correctly wrapped and labelled with the label I had printed off and was accompanied by 4 signed copies of the necessary Customs declarations contained in an envelope attached. It was collected on 18th January and on the 2nd February was returned to my address ie returned to sender. Since then I have been trying in vain to get a refund. Customer service is non-existent. I have numbers coming out of my ears.. a sender's number, a parcel number, an invoice number, a PWCC reference number and a 14 digit tracking number, so it is difficult to know which is required when asked for "your number". I looked to claim a refund online but it is a question of ticking boxes to give the reason for the claim, but none of the boxes is appropriate. I have sent three e-mail messages and none of the replies was helpful. In one it stated that the case was closed because the parcel had been delivered (Yes, but back to sender!) In the next it informed me that they could see that it was a collection problem and advised what to do. I did get two fresh "case numbers". I tried to phone a number given online but I defy anybody to key in the 14 digit number before an automated voice says "this number has not been recognised" I telephoned the local depot to ask for a helpful phone number. I managed to speak with a human being who told me she would send a claim form to my email address. Nothing happened. A few days later I tried again and this time was told it was DPD Local who couldn't deal with an international parcel. A third e-mail elicited a fresh phone number. Again I was told that it was DPD Local but the operative told me I needed International. He would put me through. 20 minutes later, a fresh person who told me she could do nothing and that I must use the DPD chat-line. A refund can only be done online! I have tried the link - cut and pasted it to Google but nothing happened. I wish I could give this company a no star rating. In short I have spent more time and almost more money than the amount I wish to be refunded. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - IT HAS FAILED TO DELIVER IN EVERY SENSE.

Hi, I do not understand why Apple works with this company in the UK, it is absolutely rubbish, the worst delivery company I have ever had.

Hi,
I do not understand why Apple works with this company in the UK, it is absolutely rubbish, the worst delivery company I have ever had.
Apple has not realized the damage this delivery company is doing to them.
Requested and paid for a Saturday delivery, the guy tried twice (Saturday and Sunday) and both days did not call and went to the wrong house, he said we were not at home during the lockdown, and posted a picture of I dont know where. Tried to contact the company by phone, chat (everything in my hands, even Apple with a very important lack of service from everywhere), managers or something IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE to communicate to them, complaint everything was impossible, even when I finally reached a manager is was useless, the poorest service I experienced in my life. It is a joke company and if you take care of your parcel you should use them.
In the end, I had to send back the items and wait until the shop is open to buying them, but thinking of changing Apple as a provider because if they work with this company maybe they are not any longer a top company.
Thanks and regards.

Awful service and completely disconnected company

The app did not upload the sent to address correctly for one of the parcels I sent and getting hold of someone in DPD to fix this is not easy. The phone number in the app goes to a message saying they are closed between 9-5 and I was calling at midday !!!

Got hold of customer services and they can’t deal with it and will only ask the app team to contact me which they will only do by email

Several emails and calls to customer service team just end with the same conclusion in that they are unable to see anything in their system as the parcel was sent using the APP. How disconnected can a company be???

Emailed the director of customer experience and no response either.

So I have no idea when they will call me and now I have two parcels now lost in the dpd system and two Christmas gifts that were not delivered before Christmas Day even though they guaranteed this on their website

Paid for next day delivery

Paid for next day delivery, shop to shop. Dropped off on Wednesday. By Monday, parcel hadn't been delivered. The code wasn't recognised on their track and trace website. Customer service had no idea where the parcel was. Promised an update email, 24 hours later no email. Contacted customer service again. They have opened up a 'Lost Parcel' issue. 1 week later still no parcel, or anyone at DPD who knows where it is.
I wouldn't trust this company with an empty box.

DPD must be the worst courier company…

DPD must be the worst courier company there is, they are thief's and low life scam, stole my parcel and can’t get through to anyone, collected the parcel as per booking, the moment it arrived at Bridgwater depot, there was no scan on the parcel for almost a week now, called the number for the depot but the number doesn’t work!! Called the number through the app, and every time I did I got a different response, even lies and promises that the parcel will be delivered...etc, now they won’t even give me information anymore because the collection has been booked via parce2go.com who is just as bad, apparently an investigation has to be opened so that they can go look for the parcel, how difficult is it to find a parcel that is 70cm long and weights 18kg??
Ruined Christmas for my family this low life scammers and thief’s

Update 11/12/2021

After reading my first review DPD tried to save face by contacting me, however after ping-ponging few emails back and forth and forwarding all the information to them, including tracking reference, screen shots of native in app tracking and screen shots of parcel2go (who now has requested and investigation) also attempting to contact them, as off yet no contact or any explanations as to how a package of 18kg and 70cm long can arrive at their depot and then just disappear! One still remains: low life scams and thief’s!!! Next step informing the police of theft, I’m sure the national tv would have an interested to do perhaps a series on cowboy couriers, news paper and whatever else there is, this scammers need to be brought to justice
