Avoid this company…

Please please never use DPD as a courier company for personal or business purposes. They can’t be trusted at all. One large shipment of mine has now conveniently gone missing for well over a month and DPD are taking no responsibility for it nor are they doing their best to locate it. And please tell me how does a 30kg box go missing???!!! A box of that size doesn’t just go missing. Since my awful experience with them I’ve seen nothing but negative reviews of them on social media. A very dodgy company to avoid at all costs.

The regular DPD drivers are spot on…

The regular DPD drivers are spot on they really are fantastic, I have had a few issues in the passed with new drivers in where they have left stuff out in the back yard when I have not been home.
The above is simply down to training DPD uses the franchises model so has little control over certain things which is why it has so many poor reviews, if the training on routes, regular customers and DPD process was improved I'm sure it really could be great.
Like I said I think the regular drivers really are great and have no issues, I have a business and use UPS for our next day and large parcels as I have more confidence in them as a firm where DPD I don't really have enough faith in the way they run the show after my peraonal experiance and when you try to resolve a issue with customer service its a waste of time as they won't follow up and call you back.

DRIVER REFUSES TO DELIVER PARCEL PLEASE HELP

I waited at home all yesterday because the delivery of the parcel was due yesterday.
I received a message that 'since I wasn't at home' they couldn't deliver my parcel - but I was at home!
I contacted DPD and they showed me a picture of the back of the building, I told them that that was the back of the building and the entrance is on the other side. They told me they tried to rearrange delivery in the evening but nothing happened.
Today when the delivery was expected, the driver called me, when I told him he was on the back of the building he just closed the call and marked 'I wasn't home again'.
The name of the driver is Phillip, he is not able to find the entrance, nor motivated to do so and he keeps lying about me not being at home. I've already invested a good amount of time on this, I'm terribly upset and unless you open a formal complaint and try to help me I suspect I will never able to receive that parcel! Please help me! I've already received your previous parcels, and I do receive my post regularly, including MYHermes and other private couriers, but if DPD keeps sending this driver I will never able to receive your parcel. I asked for alternatives and the only thing they proposed is to send the same driver again tomorrow. I wasted so much time already without any result, I really need to stay focused on my work.

Dpd have lost my parcel worth £1000…

Dpd have lost my parcel worth £1000 customer service simply don’t care! Please don’t use this Micky mouse operation they don’t have a clue where my rather large parcel is. Now I’m out of pocket after losing job due to Covid 19 but they don’t care!

DO NOT USE! Not Cost Efficient! DECEITFUL TO ALL OF US

Obviously, companies that continue to give DPD business because of a ‘financial edge’ are irresponsible and do not support our community during Covid by paying stupid wages on zero hours contracts to delivery drivers who are barely literate, so cannot find/‘read’ an address and then send DECEITFUL ‘attempted delivery’ texts and emails when NO SUCH ATTEMPT has been made evidenced in PICTURES of WRONG DOORS/ENTRANCES. Small individual businesses from home suffer their incompetence and DPD cause LOSS OF CUSTOM and FUNDS for these is why it is irresponsible of companies still contracting them - it helps none of our community, less the people like myself who wait patiently, relying on a service that is not to be delivered.

Parcel Stolen By DPD Drivers

Never had an issue when get goods delivered from large retail companies, but do not use them for personal deliveries! They not only stole our parcel (sent from UK dpd to Venice, Italy) but they lied for 10 days after the parcel was due for delivery. Every day we were told that the delivery was rescheduled for the following day. It will cost us about £300 to replace the items in the parcel - and we couldn’t insure the parcel since it contains “personal effects” (clothes!) which are “sent at your own risk”.
The fact that they claimed the parcel was stolen from one of their cars, while at the same time pretending they’d deliver tomorrow, clearly indicates that it was an inside job. They are just scamming people out of their parcels. Probably opening all parcels to decide if anything worth stealing. Never use them. Pay more and go with a reputable company.
We used ParcelMonkey to select Dpd and it was a little cheaper than going direct to the Dpd site - perhaps Dpd treat these parcels differently and figure they’ll give a worse service by stealing the goods.

Why do they have so many names lol

Why do they have so many names lol - con merchants, useless delivery company. I'm surprised they are still allowed to operate. Hope they get shut down soon to save people from wasted time, money and disappointment.

Awful service almost every time they…

Awful service almost every time they deliver my orders!!
Received an email yesterday and also this morning confirming that the parcel will be delivered to me today between 11:03 - 12:03 by driver called Youseff. At 11:30 I received an email stating that the driver missed me and that he will try again tomorrow. I`ve also received text messages at the same time confirming the above. I have been sitting at my desk the whole time and the building I`m in has got 24/7 security at the gate so there is no chance of him not being able to get on to the premises. Also I have received NO calls from the driver when he was downstairs!! no calling card either!! On the DPD website under `tracking` is a picture of a random road full of cars (not my street) and it`s stating that it is a calling car location. If Youseff plans to deliver this in a same way tomorrow then he will miss me every single day!! Not much luck with calling customer service either as you can`t get through anyone but a robot!

Disappointed

Hi, I got an email saying the delivery of the plants I have ordered will be delivering on the 21st of April by DPD so I waited and waited and still no sign of it.my most worry is the plant 25+ will not survive the delay.very disappointed with the service.

DPD - outstanding in my experience!

I am shocked at reading some of the poor reviews about DPD. DPD have been delivering to me for years. I live in North Yorkshire and until last year many deliveries I received delivered by DPD were from Amazon, that was until Amazon changed to another company. DPD were always efficient, always kept me updated & I knew within a timescale of 60 minutes when to expect the delivery, knew their drivers name and could track progress of their van. Outstanding frankly! I was sorry when in my area Amazon stopped using DPD as that change meant deliveries from Amazon were not and are not so efficient. But other orders I place through other companies still using DPD are very efficient; in my experience DPD are by far the best & most reliable delivery company.

DO NOT USE DPD. THEY ARE USELESS AND HAVEN'T IMPROVED OVER TIME

I placed an order for delivery today and unfortunately amazon chose this terrible company to do it. The driver didn't even call to let me know he/she couldn't find me but just chose another property nearby, which happens to be a charity shop that is closed today, and so that is an attempted delivery. From now on I will make sure to ask the retailer who they use for delivery and steer clear of this shambles of a company. What's funny is that they know how terrible they are there is a message when you call their customer services apologising for their incompetence. If you've not already worked it out this is not a positive review, in fact it should be a considered -10 rating.

Total Fail in service by DPD

DPD deliveries, a complete shambles of a service, so decided to write to the CEO Mr Dwain McDonald, he passed it to escalations, who were worse than the delivery service I was complaining about.
They have no interest in all the bad reviews, unhappy customers or failures.
Without going into details, avoid the group at all cost, clearly the CEO is uninterested in knowing what goes on in the company.
