Drain Doctor - Coventry Reviews 

Sadly a very poor experience over the weekend, despite the very good reviews.

I first called at 1pm on Saturday to explain my situation (no functioning toilet, sewage spilled out into back garden). I was told someone would call me back as soon as possible. I hadn't heard anything by 4:45pm, so called again. They apologised, said they'd put it through as urgent. Again, I had heard nothing by 5:45pm, so after speaking to them again, asked to be put on the list for first thing on Sunday morning, as by the time they got there that evening (if they ever did) it would realistically be too late to start digging things up anyway. I had heard nothing by 9am on Sunday morning so phoned again to make sure I was on the list, they again told me it would be put through as urgent. I heard nothing back at all on Sunday, and was still left without a functioning toilet, with sewage in my back garden.

The first I heard from them was Monday morning, where I received two phone calls, the second of which was a follow up from the director from the relevant office. She was extremely apologetic for my experience and is looking into how this happened, and seems to be dealing with it in the way I would now hope. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that I was left with no toilet facilities at all at home from Saturday morning until Monday afternoon (when another company turned up exactly on time and cleared the blockage promptly). If I didn't have family who lived within very short walking distance, I wouldn't have been able to stay at my home at all over the weekend.

If I had known at the outset that no one from Drain Doctor would come out over the weekend, I would have tried another company early on Saturday, but by the time I had given up on Drain Doctor arriving it was the Sunday afternoon, at which point it felt pointless trying to get anyone out that day, and that I'd be better trying another company on Monday.

Extremely disappointing service, for such a highly rated company, and not at all what I expected from a company claiming to offer 24/7 emergency support.

Adrian was a star. Really patient and professional. Not an easy job with an old house but he really stuck with it to get it sorted. Would recommend Adrain and the company to anyone

Very pleasant and professional company to deal with from initial contact, booking a cctv report through to carrying out the drain repairs. Great communication throughout, polite and tidy and very respectful of our property. We are very satisfied with their standard of work.

He assessed the issue and carried out the works as quoted for.

The engineer was very determined and persistent, he wasn’t going to leave until the problem was resolved. I really appreciated that they went above and beyond and sorted our problem for us. I would definitely use them again.

We had two sinks draining slowly and to no avail were we able to sort it ourselves. Adrian the engineer who attended us was great. He talked me through what he was doing to check and diagnose and after having a look at our outdoor train he could see what would was the suspected issue. Once he got to work it became apparently that the blockage was more than expected and that we had done the right thing to get in touch. He was able to clear the main drains as well as cleared the kitchen sink piping which has some blockages (and some baby bottle cleaners which accidentally made their way down). The top floor sink had a blockage which we could hear slowly trickling through. He was able to get that cleared locally. He was professional and explained everything step by step and showed me thoroughly the issue and how they would be solved. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to ensure blockages are resolved.

We have used Drain Doctor Coventry a few times now and they have always been amazing. Always got the job done to a high standard and the whole team from the office to the plumbers have always been kind, friendly, efficient and nothing but helpful. A special shout out to Adrian and Dean that have been out to us today and got the job done and gave recommendations to prevent the problem in future. And also to Charlie who has been out to us in the past who has also always done an amazing job.

We used Drain Doctor for our Hair Salon drains as we had a nasty blockage. We were all scheduled in next day by Tash who was very helpful and we had Adrian arrive on time and he diagnose the problem, helped clear the blockage and gave us advice to help prevent in the future. Would highly recommend

Ciaran arrived at the arranged time, friendly guy, got straight onto the job, a blocked sewage pipe. Used a few bits of equipment and cleared the blockage. Turned out to be tree roots. The pipe needs repairing at some point so we'll be having Ciaran back for that.

The lady on the phone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Gave me loads of options to have an engineer come over and tried to get one for later on it the same day, which she did.
Adrian, the engineer, was an incredibly friendly, professional and helpful person. A real credit to the team! Told all the details before quoting and then got on with the work with no trouble. Finished by the tim I needed him to and took photos of the issue which has helped us realised the problem was caused by a lack quality control by our house builders. Sent the evidence photos after the job so we can attempt to pursue a complaint with the house builders. Top man!
