Called for toilet unblocking 30th December and was told no one was available until the following day then was told no one available until Friday 2nd Jan - luckily I have two toilets! Not exactly the service advertised.
They say fair pricing and was expecting around £100 but was charged £285 for a basic plunge solution. Whilst I appreciate it may have been a more complicated problem and thus cost more it wasn’t so very expensive and not what I would call fair. I would expect a phased pricing based on the issue rather than a flat fee regardless. I guess I had little choice at the time but will find someone else should I need similar services again.

Fantastic due to a cancellation was able to get it done on the same day as contacting, guy was present and honest, was told price before work was done . Sort quick and all done.

Very efficient service. Lovely helpful worker arrived promptly and worked quickly. Had a bit of a problem paying as card reader not working. Overall a very good experience. Thankyou.

Harry was very helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to assess the situation very thoroughly and managed to resolve the issue very quickly. He was very polite, friendly and professional.

Return visit to repair damage previously identified. Great job carried out efficiently and without any hassle. Harry provided visual evidence of the repair and was polite and friendly and respectful of our property.

Although a little late arriving the engineer found the fault and the blockage cleared. He also recommended some pipework be replaced in the near furure.

Tom from Stockport Hyde sorted out my badly blocked drains. Took over three hours but they were brilliant. Hard working and friendly!

Our experience was really good as actually thought we had a serious problem, so after superb and prompt service it turned out to be a total mistery as to what was going on??
Harry did an excellent job of lifting the very old iron lid only to find all was well. It remains a mistery. Thank you Drain Doctor for brilliant service

Friendly efficient service.
Can’t fault the service but I think it’s expensive. £300 for less than an hours work. Unfortunately in emergency situations it’s not practical to look for alternative services to compare charges.

If I get the problem again I’ll take more time to find a solution.

Update: hi Callum the process was followed. However it would have felt better if you’d have given me some idea of the potential cost during the phone call ie consider the simplest case. I realise that you really need to see it before confirming but a similar quote I obtained later for the same work was half the price.

Macaulay was a very nice and helpful gentleman, he explained everything he was doing and why he was doing this, and left it nice and tidy. I would definitely recommend.

MacAuley was brilliant, really honest and up front about what he was doing and how much it would cost. He then went one step further and checked with united utilities about road adoption and whose responsibility the problem was. Turns out it wasnt ours so MacAuley being proactive saved us £450+VAT!

I had a blocked waste pipe causing my washing machine to back up, they unclogged in about 30 minutes!

Many thanks to Tom & Mac for sorting out a blockage and issue with our soil pipe. They diagnosed the problem and got it sorted within a few hours. They explained everything as they went so we knew what was going on.

My problem was tree roots causing the downstairs toilet to block.
Macauley kept me informed throughout the job and showed me the camera images which confirmed the issue. The toilet was removed and the blockage was successfully cleared internally.
Further preventative work was booked in for the following week.
The space was left clean and tidy after the work.
I was very pleased with the professional service I received .

We had a totally blocked shower and sink that filled up the shower! Tom from Drain Doctor Stockport sucked out the blockage accessing the outside waste pipe rather than internally so no mess.

Turned out there was a bodge job done on the external pipe work that we were unaware of. Tape had been used to connect the different sections of pipe work internally and this had come loose and was the cause of the waste not going down as it was all backed up.

So lucky that Tom had spare plumbing pipes in his van so he was able to replace/repair it.

Totally recommend, though the standard charge was more expensive than we had anticipated as had not been told before Tom arrived. But we had previously tried unblocking rods and chemicals to try and unblock it with no effect and would have never of realised about the tape in the pipes. Thank you Tom.

Mac and Tom worked tirelessly to fix a problem with the drainage under the flagstones as well as replacing all the rusting cast iron pipe work. Even when they experienced unexpected issues that meant they had to stay longer than planned they stayed until all work was completed and cleared, keeping to the original quoted price. Would highly recommend.
