This was my second time booking a car…
This was my second time booking a car from Drivalia. The first time in Málaga was perfect. So I booked with them again and this time tainted my holiday. I got caught for €175 because my pin wasn't working on my credit card and they refused to enter the details on the computer to bypass the pin but said I could use a debit card to purchase there insurance which was €174.95. Also I requested a manual car with full fuel and received an automatic half full which also ended costing more as the car went back with around 30 euro more fuel than when I got it. All they said was I booked the car with do you Spain and not directly with them so none of the agreement was with them. But the worst part is a guy also renting a car there was trying to help us and was talking about entering the credit card details in manually. He was fluent in Spanish and spoke to them directly. He didn't get aggressive in any way or abusive. Even so they said they were not giving him his rental and called the police. I waited for the police to come in case he needed me as a witness. I hope he got sorted in the end. Overall not a good experience. I won't be using them again and would advise the same

The office in Barcelona provided me an excellent service. Wanted to mention one name though, since he was exceptional, Alberto. Gracias !
Great company and very pleasant people…
Great company and very pleasant people working there. The service was calm and professional. The car was brought right to the entrance, so there was no need to walk around the parking lot looking for it. There were no unnecessary questions, and the whole experience was comfortable. I highly recommend them.
Company has changed 😡
We have been using Drivalia for the last few years, 6 times a year. Our last trip a couple of weeks ago and we returned the car as we normally do. My husband always videos every car we get to show scratches on it before we take it away. When we got back to drop the car off there was a couple parked next to us who were being told they had to pay for a minimal scratch on the car which they said was on there this developed into an argument going on. Then an Eastern European lady came out to see us, we’d never met her before really nice lady, but she went around the car which was black with her fingertips licking her finger tip and looking for tiny marks any little mark there was a hairline scratch by the passenger door handle which my husband then promptly showed her that it was there when we got the car it was on his photograph and she then said but in my opinion it’s a different one and tried to charge us £1500 for it. We obviously were not happy with this. We asked see a manager who was not available. We then went into the office with her and she then said to us if you pay me €200 now which buys our insurance that’s all you will have to pay. What a scam trying to sell us Insurance we have our own Insurance after said incident all it is the thing it’s I love the spot where it is I love the garden you could open up the front make so much. I just don’t understand why it hasn’t sold because I just think it’s a great spot there but for some reason, it hasn’t, but I don’t know why it’s all her parents might have a bit more money but also if the first time bias they could go in a lower offer and the owners may want to take that cause it’s free. I don’t know all good fingers crossed for a hair hair crack a hair scratch this is a scam and they’re obviously trying to make money out of people disgusting we had two more bookings with Drivalia we’ve cancelled both will never ever use them again which is a shame because I’ve always recommended them. I know there are people out there that will say we’ve used Drivalia for years no problem, but honestly, the company has changed. When we were in the office, I was telling other people what had happened. The young lady came from behind the desk and threatened me saying if I said bad things about the company I could not have a lift back to the airport. AVOID DRIVALIA. We have cancelled our next two bookings. 😡
Very good experience
Very good experience, and good service. Located just outside the airport which is walking distance. Only took 10 minutes to get the car, and had a brand new MG. Dropping the car back off again, was easy and only took 5 minutes. Very happy with the service of the team. Would rent again
Hostile staff at Malaga, refused to honor prepaid booking despite flight delay
I booked a car through Holiday Autos with Drivalia at Malaga airport and prepaid in full via voucher. My flight was delayed, and when I arrived at the desk, staff were immediately hostile and confrontational — raising their voice, telling me it was my fault for being "late," that the prepaid car was no longer available, and that since I'd paid Holiday Autos and not them directly, it wasn't their problem.
The tone from the staff was aggressive and dismissive from the very first interaction, with zero attempt at de-escalation or basic customer service. At no point did anyone offer an alternative vehicle, a partial solution, or even basic courtesy. I was left stranded at the airport and had to book a last-minute rental with a different company at extra cost.
I also opened a claim through Holiday Autos, but Drivalia has shown no willingness to take responsibility or offer any resolution.
Flight delays happen — that's a normal part of air travel, and any car rental company operating at an airport should have a basic policy for handling it, especially for prepaid bookings. Being met with hostility instead of help made an already stressful situation much worse.
I would strongly caution anyone considering Drivalia, especially if your travel plans have any uncertainty around arrival time.

First class service, friendly staff and a spot on car. Thank you!
Shame you have to give a star at all
Shame you have to give a star at all! As a regular car renter at Alicante this was my first & last use of drivalia. The office is a long way out. The car I got 75k on the clock with plenty of signs of use, yet they still 'discovered' two 'new' dents to charge me for on return! There was a man stood waiting at the return area with a clipboard who went straight to 2 'new' dents. One of which he admitted was on their records but was 'worse' now. He was on it almost before we were out of the car. Scam.

Got scammed
Got scammed.
600 euro paid for a car taken out of the account when booking.
To be told they won't give our money back even though we didn't get the car because you need a credit card. We don't have a credit card. But the money went though on the debit card
We couldn't get the car they said but still kept our money.
Awful and disgusting! 600 is a lot of money to take off a family of 6 and we didn't even get to use a car from them.
If you can only use a credit card why would you still take the 600 euro off the debit and keep it

Couldn’t get them on my phone
Couldn’t get them on my phone. Allowed booking with debit card but would not give car without credit card. Can’t get them on the phone. Refused refund of nearly €700. Very frustrating. Avoid at all costs. Lots of other reputable companies to choose from

I recently used Drivalia at London Gatwick Airport for a two day hire. Dan provided an excellent service checking me in and I would definitely recommend using them. Very satisfied customer.
Everything fine
Everything was fine. The car was picked up and returned very efficiently. I recommend the option with full insurance. Special thanks to Cristina for the quick and professional service.
All round dreat service wish they would…
All round dreat service wish they would do a customer loyalty scheme so as i dont have to continually check prices would be my one gripe to management but on ground staff at Alicante great
I should have read the reviews…
I should have read the reviews better... What scammers. It started when I picked up the car at Alicante airport, when my credit card only had my initials on it and not my full first name. Because of that, I was told I would still have to take out the extra insurance. I didn't accept that, but I probably got a tick mark against my name back then. When returning the car, two scratches were "discovered." I had photos of both, but a disagreement arose over one of the photos.... Their advantage is that you are on pins and needles trying to catch your flight, and I was fully insured through the booking website. So, in the end, I just paid to have the block on my credit card lifted as well. But it left a very nasty taste in my mouth.... This is simply a business model for them, and I don't think that's okay....
Great service!
Clear instructions on how to get to Drivalia’s office, despite we arrive late at night, the bus was waiting for us at the airport, no delay at all. The process to get the car was fast and the vehicle itself was great no issues at all during the time we had it. The returning process was fast as well. Comparing prices with other rent a car companies in Valencia (airport area), this one was cheaper. We booked it with full insurance considering the price. People were very friendly as well! Great service!
