Great service

Rented a car for a long weekend at the Barcelona office and it all went so smooth. Also, the staff was really kind and welcoming, especially Alberto was nice and helped us really well!

As close as you get to a scam

As close as you get to a scam. Drivalia will do whatever it takes to have you sign up for their full coverage insurance. When I said I was not interested (I had signed a full coverage insurance with a third party) I was threatened that it would take 2 hours to return the car. When I resisted I was told that they did not accept any of the 5 credit cards I offered them for the deposit. The solution, as you may already have guessed, was to sign up for their full coverage insurance. When I told them that this was a scam, the service person said that he would never rent a car with a firm with such low rating on Trustpilot.
It took over 2 hours waiting in line to get the car, add to this that the outlet at Palma airport requires a 10 min bus ride. My strong advise, do not rent with Drivalia!!!

Very bad

Very bad. Avoid at all costs..
The cars have so many scratches and damages that you cannot spot all of them. So when you return it they will stay for an hour trying to find the slightest scratch you haven't reported to charge redicucly high amounts your personal insurance. I did the mistake to tell them I had a personal insurance when picked up the car...

Awful experience returning the car to Valencia

Awful experience returning the car to Valencia airport. We had a puncture when in javea, about 90 mins from their office at Valencia airport. No spare tire and nothing to repair that tire with (car was almost brand new). Called the office and they sent a local tow truck which arrived after about 45 mins (not bad). V nice driver who said policy was to go to the Drivalia office and get a replacememt car - this would have taken at least nearly 5 hours in total which for a puncture is ridiculous so the tow tuck took us of to a local garage. Tire had a small tear on the inside of the tirewall so could not be repaired so I paid Euro 120 for a new tire to be fitted. On returning the car I explained what had happened and the young male staff went mad, it was not their tow truck (it absolutely was as it was organised by their office, the guy refused to believe me despite me showing my phone log of call to Drivelalai). They charged me Euro620 for 2 new tires as they said they had to match, why not just buy 1 to match the new one I put on) plus 2 days extra hire fee for the car being off the road - they drove it away to get it fixed while we were still there. Total bill Euro 1100. Total rip-off plus the guy was really unpleasant, and aggressive. I'll try to reclaim some or all of the costs fromthe car hire insurance but I won't be using Drivalia again and do not recommend that you do either.

Positive Overall experience with Drivalia…

Overall experience with Drivalia (Girona Airport) was positive. I found all of the staff, on collection and return, to be very helpful and friendly. Was also quick at both stages. Very close also to the terminal. Car had quite a few prior scrapes and dents, which I’d prefer to having a brand new car. Took a while to check and I was able to add a few more to the list without any hassle. Would use Drivalia again to be honest.

I rented car from Drivalia through…Booking.com

I rented car from Drivalia through Booking.com so that I didn't need to check client experiences at that time , on 22nd of April 2026 from Malaga Airport office. On the date I returned the car which was 27th of April 2026 I discovered that it was a huge mistake to rent a car from Drivalia. Later on , as I read about other people's previous experiences and complaints I realized that this company , Drivalia, is qualified fraudster . They give you car with full of small scratches , minor cosmetic scratches which you cannot list or specify during picking up the car . They propose you to buy insurance from them which I didn't since I bought full coverage from Booking.com . In that case they asked for € 2.000 deposit which I shouldn't but I did . During the delivery the person in charge directly pointed three cosmetic scratches for which I said they were already there when I took the car . He said okay but when I went home and check my credit card transactions I saw that Drivalia charged me € 1.136 . Thank Rentalcover that I received back this amount from insurance . In short , never rent car from Drivalia since I'm not the only one . If you have to buy insurance from them . I also criticize Booking.com because they should not allow such companies to use her web platform to swindle other people.

Excellent pick-up from airport to…

Excellent pick-up from airport to Drivalia offices to collect vehicle. The queue was about 5/6 people in front of me. However, David stepped in from another desk and sorted car and paperwork really quickly. On my way in no time. I'll post later on vehicle suitability.

Had a great first-time experience

Had a great first-time experience! The car was in perfect condition, no one tried to talk me into buying insurance and I had none of the problems mentioned in the other reviews when returning the car (I did a 5-minute video of every little scratch on the car because of the other reviews lol). The only little inconvenience was the waiting time for pick-up, as they have a lot of customers. Would go with them again any time!

Fair renting place

Well they are quite unorganised and it is not helped by the clients bargaining and not speaking well neither English or Spanish so it's not their fault. Still I arrived early enough to not have too much waiting. However the car was not ready so it just added time delay. The car was really nice though and freshly cleaned. Alberto of the office service of Barcelona took the car back and made a great job to give a nice taste in the end. So overall not perfect but honest work and quality-price.

2 hours to collect the car. Uncontactable.

From Palma airport terminal to driving away took 2 full hours. There were only 2 people on the desks for a queue of about 30 rentals. The manager who served me was not at all apologetic about the wait.

No one took you to look at the car etc. The tyre pressure error light was on. The contract said full to full fuel, but then the car was only 3/4 full at pickup.

I tried to contact the Palma branch many times to try and arrange an early drop off but it was impossible via any method. They don’t open til 8am so near this in mind for morning flights.

Drop off was fast and smooth, and no unfair charges were made, however I would absolutely not use Dravalia Palma ever again.
