Sixt reception at Dubln airport was stink.

Great way to organise car hire in Europe
Using Driveaway holidays to book our car hire in Ireland,England,France and Italy has made everything simple and successful. Cars have been fantastic. Will use again next time we're overseas and will pass on to anyone travelling.

Everything worked well and heathrow was a good choice to pick up from eventhough we were staying in London
We were surprised we were charged a repositioning fee of 30 odd pounds even though we picked the car up and dropped it off at the same terminal.they said something about drive away not notifing them of this.we didn't argue and paid up?
Euro car v. Hertz
We have been very happy with our car from Europcar. We had a near new Audi with build in Nav. System, very handy if you look for your hotel ect. No extra cost!!!
With Hertz we got a Ford, ( nothing against Ford ) but even with a nearly new car, no Nav. System. Asked then for a car with Nav. They could not find one with in 80 km of where we picked the car up in Stuttgart Germany. Staff rather unfriendly and not helpful at all.
When we booked on your web site, I think there was no option given as to booking of Nav. Systems.
I will again book with you in the future.

Confusing and error ridden rental expeirence
We experienced a number of mistakes made by driveaway, incl.
Quoted and charged and insufficient amount, then tried to recharge us extra although we had been assured of a final price verbally and paid it.
A new voucher was then promised by driveaway and then not sent
We had to change the rental to pick car up earlier. Driveaway did not respond in a timely manner, then informed us literally a couple of hours prior to pick up that the car was not available and nothing could be done. When we arrived at the europecar rental desk though they sorted a new car for us in about 2 minutes, so it was indeed possible.
Then we found driveaway had processed the extra rental days charges on credit card and only refunded part of it. We contacted them about this and they have agreed to refund full amount. Overall, totally unsatisfactory service. We are unlikely to use again.

Great service, great rates
This is our second trip to USA, UK and Ireland where we have used Driveaway for all our rental cars . All have been great with no hassles . What else can you ask for. Will use them agin on our next trip.

Driving South of France in 8days
Making the booking in New Zealand was a breeze.
The staff in France however are something else.Picking the vehicle in Nice was okay, but the staff at Brive for the drop off were shocking. I was told off for parking in a private space behind the office, there was no signage to indicate otherwise and when I asked where I should park, the reply was " wherever you can find something on the street". The lady was quite rude somi left the vehicle where I had parked it. The lady seriously needed a personality transplant

Our 21 day rental car for the USA was easy to book,the deal was clearly spelled out with no hidden surprises and basically went like clockwork so I would definitely recommend DriveAway Holidays NZ as a company to deal with.

Rental car booked thru Driveaway was virtually new ( only 900 miles on the clock), price was several hundred dollars less when compared with booking directly at one of the major car rental companies ( Avis, Budget) and all paperwork was sorted when I arrived. Another plus was the good explanation and advice given around the different insurance options /requirements in the USA.

Overall very good.
No problems except a long queue wait of 35 minutes to collect the vehicle, which after a 12 hour international flight was the best. Only one staff member initially delaing with the international voucher clients.
Flawless check-in at Hertz Dover Kent UK
I had arranged a prepaid car hire online from NZ as the exchange rate made it favourable to do so.
My computer printout was handed over at Hertz the appointed agency, in Dover UK. It's not handy to the cruise or ferry ports. This was not of interest to me.
The small Fiat Panda met our (spouse and me) needs adequately for the 10 weeks. The deal included the choice of returning the car near empty and the pre-fixed petrol tank fill would be added to account. I felt with the current price at the time of departure, I was better economically to fill the tank before returning car.
Wow- choose your own car- I was in Zone 2 Car heaven
I have always used Driveaway to get the best prices for a rental when in Europe.Booked a car for UK this time. Chose the size of car with the booking. Got a Europcar car. Easy to get to the rental depot with no wait for shuttle bus there. Efficient checkin with a ticket numbering service and then go out the door and pick the car in your zone that you want. The black VW golf was my choice.
