I can't fault the process up until the point of sale. After the sale, I had to do considerable chasing and was always needing to be proactive. There wasn't any proactivity with comms on the pa... See more

Overall disappointed
Overall disappointed. From ordering the car I was told 2/3 weeks for delivery. It was nearer 2 months. When collecting there is a hard sell to buy gap insurance, which if you want it is much cheaper shopping around. Couple of days after having the car I noticed a grab handle is missing, obviously just an oversight somewhere.Reported 3 days ago and not heard back. Service plan is ridiculously over priced. No particular problem with the sales representative although during the process I was not offered the advertised dealer contribution,Had to ask myself!! When chasing up delivery of car left 4 messages before anyone had the courtesy to call back. Happy with the car, but would expect better customer service.
MG Darlington very questionalble
I bought a car through them, and on my way to travel down to pick up the vehicle, I was told there was damage that needed to be fixed . We agreed to fix and they will pay, but to date, I am still chasing them for payments
Jose hidalgo from drive Vauxhall…
Jose hidalgo from drive Vauxhall Ipswich was absolutely fantastic from helping me to select a car that was suitable for my needs to the day I drove out my new car 10/10
Serviced and mot'd my car 22/6/26.
Serviced and mot'd my car 22/6/26.
Had it for 8 hours and put a tyre on it to pass the mot. On my way home the car dash pinged telling me that my tyre pressure was not innicilised.
These technicians are meant to be professionals, and they can't do basic stuff.

Avoid at All Costs
Avoid at All Costs – 6 Months of Stress and Frustration
My experience with Drive MG Leicester was extremely disappointing from start to finish.
When I first visited the dealership, I dealt with Adam Smith, who I found to be very pushy. Additional packages were added to the vehicle without clear explanations, leaving me feeling pressured and uncertain about what I was agreeing to.
The problems continued on the day I collected the car. Despite the dealership knowing exactly what time I would be arriving, I was left waiting for hours before I could take delivery of my new vehicle.
Unfortunately, the vehicle itself developed problems almost immediately and broke down within 25 days of ownership. I returned the car to the dealership expecting support, but the customer service I received from both Adam Smith and Thomas Abbott was appalling. I was told that “cars break all the time” and that they would not prioritise repairs or provide a courtesy car. Adam also insisted that he had not sold me a faulty vehicle and implied the issues were somehow my fault. Once again, I was left waiting at the dealership for hours while they supposedly investigated the problem.
Given the faults with the vehicle and the poor treatment I had received, I decided I no longer wanted the car and exercised my right to reject it. I was advised to pursue the matter through my finance company and left the vehicle at the dealership.
What followed was over six months of stress, frustration, and being without a car. The dealership refused to refund my money and, even more concerning, produced a “job card” claiming I had authorised repairs. I was never informed that repairs would be carried out, never agreed to any repairs, and the signature on the document was not mine.
The matter eventually escalated to the Ombudsman, who criticised the dealership’s customer service, communication, handling of a faulty vehicle, and, most importantly, the production of the fraudulent job card.
This entire experience caused significant inconvenience, stress, and unnecessary hardship. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from Drive MG Leicester to NOT proceed with getting a vehicle from them.
I would give 0 if possible
I would give 0 if possible. Paid in full for a car on the date it was supposed to be delivered it but never arrived. After several phone calls I was told the car was being used as a curtesy car.
It then took 2 weeks to get my money back
Terrible customer service you won’t have phone calls or emails returned
Even their on line complaints contact ignores you
Great experience at Redcar Drive
Went to Vauhall Drive, Redcar, and was looked after by Chris Lamplugh; he was very pleasant and helpful to deal with. Any questions I had were answered. He is very knowledgeable about warranties and insurance and was able to give me lots of information without making me feel I had to purchase anything. I didn't feel rushed or pressured into any decisions. I bought a car, and when I collected it, the couple of marks I had pointed out were gone and the car was perfect. He called the day after to check everything was ok and provided all the paperwork for me. I have been very happy with the service received, and I would recommend Drice Redcar. Thank you.
Appalling non-existant customer service
I have bought a MGHSPHEV from the Scarborough branch and their sales team is fantastic. However, their after sales service sucks. I have already had to change new cars due to a wheel alignment issue which their service dept was incapable of sorting and now after 6000miles on my replacement car all 4 alloy wheels have started blistering so I contacted them to get a fix. It took 3 several attempts by the sales staff to get service to call me and then I have tried twice to speak to service to arrange an inspection without success. On both occasions I left messages but nobody called back. If this is their standard of customer service, I'll go elsewhere in future.
I would like to leave some positive…
I would like to leave some positive feedback for Tara at Drive Motor Retail MG, Weston-super-Mare.
From the very beginning, Tara was extremely professional and helpful. She took the time to explain several important aspects of the Voluntary Termination process for my previous car and, honestly, provided far more useful information than we had received from the previous dealership.
She also guided us through the purchase of our new electric car, helping with everything from the vehicle itself to the pricing and service plan options. Throughout the process, Tara was always approachable, knowledgeable, and patient.
Even after we completed the purchase, I contacted her several times with additional questions, and she was always happy to help and quick to respond.
In my opinion, Tara is exactly the right person in the right place. Her professionalism, customer service, and willingness to go the extra mile made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tara to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. She is a real asset to the dealership.

MG DRIVE LEICESTER AFTER SALES…
MG DRIVE LEICESTER AFTER SALES NIGHTMARE
After buying a new s5 from drive Leicester in June 25.
There was a fault with the car from new I noticed there was a fault with the car I contacted MG directly and the referred me back to the dealership which I bought it from which was MG DRIVE LEICESTER
So I contacted the dealership and was told I would have to wait over 12 weeks before the could see the car and it could possibly cost me £170 up to diagnose the issue.
After getting the car booked in I was told it may take a few days to find out what the issue is this actually took 7 days I was left without a car to be told to come collect my car they think they know what the issue is they don’t have the part to fix it so it will go on back order when I went to collect my car I noticed a dent and scratch on the rear door which was not there when I dropped the car off I informed the staff and they took photos and told me a manager would be in touch as to date no contact just been ghosted Evan after email on the issue.
Anyway back to the car I was told after 2 weeks the part had arrived and in 4 weeks can you bring your car in for 3 days at 9 am which I said yes no problem, so take a day off work I am driving the car into MG DRIVE LEICESTER to get a call 5 mins away from the dealership I get a call we can’t fix your car today we may be able to fit you in in 6-8 weeks to try and fix it
I explained this was unacceptable just to be told this was the best they could do as they don’t have any MG Techs available.
Which leaves me with Great concerns that this dealership are unable to up hold there obligations with warranty work on cars they offer for sale..
And now nothing.
I have contacted MG UK with my concerns about this MG franchise.
I have been forced to contact the finance provider to see what my options are to return the car as the garage are unable to fix the fault with the car .
I will update in due course..
MG Drive Leicester - Saj Patel
Great experience from start to finish. Saj was really accommodating, took the time to listen to exactly what I was after, and never made me feel pressured at any point. Unlike other car garages I’ve dealt with before, he was genuinely helpful and not pushy at all. Really appreciated the honest and relaxed approach - would definitely recommend.
Lovely Approach
We were interested in viewing , driving and finding out about a Leapmotor b10a t the Ipswich location Darren Martin was the person who did everything we required. His approach was simply fantastic and not pushy! He was very informative and answered all our questions. We have decided not to purchase a b10 but to lease one. Thank you
Fault finding on Tucson
After dropping off my Tucson at Drive Scarborough due to misfire under acceleration. Upon inspection it was found that the ignition coil connector was broken and one coil was held on by cable tie. Jacob at Drive retail was as dismayed and shocked as I was. Jacob said leave it with me and got a replacement sorted and fitted for nothing. Can't thank Jacob and Drive Hyundai Scarborough enough. Excellent old school service.
This dealership don’t care about no one he doesn’t care about what you have what you don’t have. I don’t care about you. You only care about money money money.
I bought a car in March. I drive for three weeks and he broke down the cooling water engine steaming. I give the car back ask for the deposit back and this is still going until today and nothing they don’t fix anything always delayed. I spoke with the Finance to cancel the contract and I’m still here waiting. They do nothing this Company they only want the money, money, money, money not they don’t care about person. They’re the worst dealership until today. I went. he’s very sad and I’m always worried I can’t sleep properly because of that they don’t care about no one the Finance company is trying to call them to resolve the dispute and they don’t answer the phone and this is going more than two months already and you have the car there. I’m paying your car that that I don’t have it. They have the car back after three weeks I bought the car with the big problem until today they still have the car , very bad company

Extremely Poor Communication and Service – Very Disappointing Experience
I am extremely disappointed with the service at MG Leicester. They called me to book my car in for a service and MOT, and I clearly explained during the booking that my brakes needed replacing before the MOT. I was quoted roughly £375 and told I would receive a call after the health check to confirm the exact amount and approve the work before anything went ahead.
I dropped my car off and was told it might take a bit longer because I arrived slightly late. I waited the entire day for the promised call about the brake quote — nothing came. Instead, at the end of the day, I received a call saying my car had failed the MOT due to the brakes, the exact issue I had raised before booking.
They carried out an MOT knowing the brakes needed replacing and without contacting me as agreed. This was a complete failure in communication and process. To make matters worse, no courtesy car was available, and there was no concern shown about how I would get back to Birmingham.
This experience was unprofessional, inconvenient, and entirely avoidable. I will not be using this branch again.
Max at Drive Hartlepool was first…
Max at Drive Hartlepool was first class. He found a suitable car for my needs. I needed an automatic and nothing was a trouble. Its my third car from Drive Vauxhall in Hartlepool.
Connor is the man. Aldershot
Me and the wife were looking for a car and got recommended to go to Drive Aldershot and I’m so glad we did!!
We were all met with a smile and greeted by someone called Connor. We ended up buying a Vauxhall and in the end it wasn’t the right car for both of us so we brought another one (MG). Connor who dealt with us on both occasions is absolutely fantastic!! In fact the whole staff who we encountered were amazing!!!
Highly recommend this place.
