Unprofessional

I was recently offered a role by driver hire Romford as a class 2 HIAB driver to start work immediately. As this was my first time dealing with Driver Hire they asked if I was able to come in to their offices and sign up. Within an hour of receiving that telephone call I was in their offices filling up all the relevant paperwork which took around 2 hours to do. Just as we was finishing up driver hire was informed by their client that the job had actually been taken and they no longer required a driver. I was really disappointed as I had rushed down to sign up all the paperwork only to be told at the last minute the job was no longer available. I accepted their apology and was offered another HIAB class 2 job and I was assured that this job will go ahead and will be regular on going work. As I was already working for another agency/job for the past 3 months I called them up and told them that I am starting a new job and wont be available anymore. I also had an interview day before joining up with driver hire for another job which I received an offer of permanent employment though the salary was lower than my expectations but the job was guaranteed. I also turned this job down because of Driver Hire. The second job that driver hire put me through was suppose to start on Tuesday but I received a text message on Monday morning telling me that the job has now been called off!!! This is the second time this has happened and now I am left here with no work as I turned down my current agency work and a permanent job offer to work for driver hirer!! Absolute joke of a company and very unprofessional!!

Helped me get the job I wanted….BUT??????

Helped me get the job I wanted, BUT I work a fixed number of hours per week and get paid less than the fixed number of hours worked. Pay slip varies form week to week even though the hours are fixed/paid for buy the company I’m booked to work for over the past 3 months.

The Burton Branch are great.

An excellent organisation to work with. My employer was the Burton Branch. They pay attention to your preferences and identify the driving tasks that you would enjoy. Available for a chat should you need to call them. Additionally I had no problems with wages at all, easy to send in timesheets and I was paid promptly. Was happiest working for them, hands down. Very good experience (Cardiff sector)

I worked for the Cardiff branch and I will say the team at driver hire always kept me in work, very good place to work for and I can definitely vouch for this company. for anyone looking for driving work or companies looking for professional drivers, you can’t go wrong with Driver Hire.

Excellent Driving Franchise.

I have just completed a couple of years or so as Agency Driver for the Driver Hire Romford franchise. The work I obtained was regular and varied ranging from Transit to HGV Class 2. I learned plenty working for a range of different companies, using different types of vehicle and delivering/collecting different types of product (Plumbing supplies, Fabricated Steel, Plant Machinery, Scaffolding equipment, Vehicle shunting etc.). Sheri, Paris and colleagues were extremely helpful and supportive. If anybody reading this review is based near Romford I would encourage you to contact this operation if looking for temporary or permanent work. Kevin.

I have worked for Workforce since December 23…

I have worked for Workforce Leeds since the end of December and have had no issues with the agency either with the amount of days I work or with my wages even though I work on a varied hours contract between 8-15 hours a day andwould recommend this agency to my friends and family if they needed work. My account handler is great always available either by phone or text and what I have found is they ask for for your availability daily and if you can’t work a particular day its not been used against you when you are available unlike some agencies I have worked for in past.

Shocking Horrific Disgusting

This is for my Dad. Who will never work for Driverhire again and neither will any friend a or family. For a Branch who has the opportunity to provide staff all over Oxford they truly are taking on more than they need and in return let down current staff. Bullying and Harassment is also a key issue here. Happy New Year and I hope someone New takes over and creates a better place of work .

Sounds like a great company

Sounds like a great company , but when you get going, it becomes more difficult by the day, and come payday you will find the people who pay you [
[ numbermill ]take an absolute fortune out of £900, take home £450 , really poor experience, would really advise working g elsewhere , at a real company, and not the Bristol office .

Bitter experience overall with the cpc…

Bitter experience overall with the cpc online course, cheap service but they like your money so they will take advantage of any oprtunity to ripp you off, in that regard I had to pay for two extra courses, on one still waiting on refund and second was refused uploading for supposedly of breach of terms - was told off for playing on my phone by an old fellow whilst with my arms crossed around my chest whilst others using theirs throughout corse or even without video camera for long periods of time or inactive for the hole duration of the course-video recorded -total madness so be carefull

I can’t comment on the specifics of your feedback here because we would need to speak to the trainer about your conduct (and that of other delegates) on the course. However we can say that it is a requirement of DVSA approval for online courses that delegates do remain focused on the course for the full 7 hours. If that is not the case, we are not allowed to upload the hours. Courses are regularly audited by DVSA so we take this requirement very seriously.
However if you are due a refund and this has not been processed, please do let us know at marketing@driverhire.co.uk so that we can ensure this is sorted out.

Driver Hire is not a good agency to…

Driver Hire is not a good agency to work for. They do not like out spoken people who are honest in what they say. When I applied to join Driver hire as a Class 1 driver because I was out spoken in my email that I originally sent to quite a few agencies the managers from Leeds and Sheffield told the Doncaster member of staff ( who has left ) that due to me being honest and out spoken that I would be a trouble maker ( their exact wording) and they would never give me any work at the same time they told the Doncaster staff that they would regret it. I proved them wrong in their judgement ( imagine prejudging people before meeting them - it shows that they judge people in the same manner they judge themselves) and when the Doncaster staff went to see them the Leeds and Sheffield managers wouldn't change their minds. This is how bad Driver Hire is to the work force. Since this when I don't work at the company where I had constant work ( which driver hire have ruined due to excessive charges to the company ) has practically ceased. I end up driving transit van on a lot less money or no work whatsoever like 3 weeks without work and yet companies are crying out for class 1 drivers, so work is out there but not given to me. Christmas time is the busiest time of year and still no class 1 work and I know for a fact that companies are crying out for agency drivers as I used to be a transport supervisor in one of these companies. I am going to tell you all what I have earned up today working as a class 1 driver which is only £16,770 extremely low pay. When I was working in an agency a few years ago I was top earner, earning over £60,000. Driver Hire through their neglect have caused me huge problems from having to borrow over £14,000 to keep a roof over my head to pay for rent, food and all bills. They have caused another problem due to no work/ wages my CPC will run out on the 12/12/23 and therefore I won't be able to drive HGV's or 7.5 ton vehicles and this is totally down to them as I don't have money to pay for the CPC course this is how bad Driver Hire is. They say that they care for the drivers but from what I have written here it shows the opposite that they do not care and have no interest in the people that work for them, this is down to bad management who do not know how to manage or have no man management skills. The other thing in regards to Driver Hire they have a huge office staff turn over almost one per month which goes to show that there is a huge problem in the way the management conduct themselves. So if you are reading this review in looking at Driver Hire for work please take note to what is written and be warry before you make a disission.

Do not book CPC with these scammers I…

Do not book CPC with these scammers I booked the 5 day £169 offer but only completed one course due to a complaint against a Tutor. They did not refund the correct amount after I had to book with a more competent company. Avoid this company very unprofessional
