Terrible service
Terrible service; they only work to extract more money from clients. I've been there twice with a kitten with the same problem, and the doctor told me to call him back in a week. When I called, the receptionist didn't even want to inform the doctor about my call, saying I needed an appointment. Are you kidding? I've already paid £59 for an appointment twice, and the same problem. The doctor said to call, but reception has its own rules. The medications are terribly expensive: an antibiotic costs £69, while online costs £9.90. I've been using it for 7 years, but now I'm forced to go to another vet.
This happened last year when my dog was…
This happened last year when my dog was a puppy. The whole incident destressed me that much ive only just thought about writying this review. My dog suddenly started crying in pain, she was registered here so this is where I took her. They admitted her and told me they would call me to discuss what was wrong they told me it would be £500 got me to sign a document while I was incredibly distressed.
After a few hours they call me back I to come in, I arrive the vet was casually standing around chatting while I could hear my puppy screaming in distress, they told me to just put her to sleep as they didn't know what was wrong. I took my dog to scarsdale vets where they immediately sedated her to be pain free.
It turns out she had eaten something that had poisoned her total accident as I've had other puppies and dogs and it's never happened before. Easy pet care then sent me my bill off £800 they tried to say they took 3 xrays not according to scarsdale they didn't and they said they gave her pain relief again not according to scarsdale as they said she wouldn't have been crying the way she was.
I argued about the bill with the manager, who nearly got a slap for being such a b.... however after arguing about them saying they had cared for her which they hadn't my bill came down to the agreed £500 I had already signed for.
I should have known to stay away as when I took her 1st for her injections a gentleman outside told me not to use them as they had ripped him off. Personally this practice needs to stop practicing and the ombudsman needs to investigate the vets for incompetence
Rude and unprofessional staff and vets…
Rude and unprofessional staff and vets with a couldn't care less attitude. Hannah the client manager likes to run her mouth on a power trip to paying customers. I observed her being rude to other staff and overheard her talking rudely about me behind the glass doors to other work colleagues. She can manage clients ok.......straight out the door. I immediately removed my pet and registered with another vet the very next day. I do not pay my good money for services to receive such poor treatment.

They were really good at first but sadly this year felt let down by this practice..
Rang to get my dog in as really unwell, sorry nothing till next Tuesday explained he was ill but apparently no vets at practice to see him .
Rang another vet and was told with those symptoms he needs to be seen ,1/2 hour later at vets they told us he had kidney problems and a swollen heart ❤️ sadly 💔lost him the following day.
Good job I didn't leave him till the next Tuesday....👎
Disgusting & Aggressive Vet! Manhandled our cat & misleading veterinary practice!
Mature pet cat booked in (specifically) for a blood test for over-all health check.
During consultation vet lifted cat basket up and tilted it at approx 60 degree angle, to force the cat out. I intervened and said you can lift hook ups from the sides and back to remove the top half of the pet carrier off. He aggressively refused and insisted to FORCE cat out! To then continue, to what I can only describe as roughly man handle the cat. I have never experienced a vet behave in such a manner towards our cat or any animal - simply inappropriate and aggressive manner. He then took the cat in the back for a blood test and asked us to wait in the waiting area, coming back five minutes later to say the cats far too aggressive, we will need to rebook and put her under sedation.
Firstly, if you handle an animal aggressively forcing them out of the basket and then continue to man handle them, DO NOT expect the animal to be clam!!
Secondly, the Veterinary practice was empty, I did no hear the cat scream or make a sound, as you would, and we would have heard the cat 'behave aggressively' we know our cat and know her behaviour.
Thirdly, we paid the consultation fee (under dispute) and refused to pay £45 for drops to eyes and strongly feel the practice has misled us and acted inappropriately.
Be TRANsPARENT & EXPLAIN to your customer and train your staff
Finally!
Easipetcare - Derby 'be TRANSPARENT & train your Vets to treat animals with respect, care and love. Furthermore, inform your customers beforehand of further expected charges.
We were expecting the cat to have a blood test, followed by a consultation for results. Not charged for a consultation before hand and then expected to pay. When your Vet is negligent.'
Vets and Veterinary practices should not be allowed to treat animals in such a manner and mislead customers. I will therefore be reporting this to Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and other regulatory bodies.

No vet on duty at 4pm
I've always been happy with the care my dogs received at Easipetcare, until yesterday. My dog became very unwell over the course of yesterday, and the phone message states, in an emergency, come straight down. I was at work, it was late afternoon and I called them to warn we would be on our way shortly to be told the vet had gone home. This was well before the practice closed, at 6pm. Had I gone straight down with my dog, they wouldn't have been able to help. I ended up ringing another local vet who went above and beyond to help us yesterday. I think if a phone message instructs you to come straight down with your pet, in an emergency, there should be a vet on duty at the practice until close of business .
Paying in advance doesn't pay
When you're buying and paying for their pack services online, no one tells you about the waiting times. You figure it out later when you're trying to book an appointment. 1 month waiting for a cat jab appointment, to be told 1 day before that there's a nationwide shortage. That shortage is not recent. So if they don't have enough product, they should warn before accepting new registrations. Get old of the stock they have. After the cancelation it has passed over a month. Waiting 2 months for a jab. And the waiting will be longer.. The money off course is on their side. The online pack is still available to buy even though they know there's no vaccines... Scam... They book the appointment to cancel it one day before. Knowing already there's a shortage. Also waiting 1 month for a neutering. No one updates you. You have to keep ringing if you want to.
EasiPetCare Derby has is terrible now
EasiPetCare Derby has is terrible now! They’ve had a new intake of staff especially on reception. They’re rude, unhelpful, inexperienced and liars. I’ve been with EasiPetCare for years and the staff of last year and the years before were perfect.
I paid monthly for the 365 pet plan and get some services free and discounted I couldn’t pick up my dogs prescription due to moving home and was told on the phone by a new receptionist I can no longer pick it up because he’s not longer scheduled for flea and wormer because he should of had it already even though I told her I haven’t collected it yet because I haven’t been able to. So my dog went about 8 months without flea and worming I had to resort to buying it from pets at home. What a scam!!! When I pay over £17 a month to get this treatment. The vets are lazy don’t seem to do anything but tell you the obvious. This company has down hill I recommend going elsewhere.
Awful uncaring attitude - Avoid
I really didn't want to give give any stars! We have had several cats registered and treated with these vets and apart from one minor niggle which we did complain about we were satisfied. However that all changed last Friday, our youngest cat fell ill and deteriorated fast, because we hadn't registered her they were not interested in seeing her, they (a vet, not a receptionist) didn't even look at her. Consequently, we couldn't get her in at another vet until Monday morning, she was in such a state that the vet who saw her was shocked, and blood tests told us she had renal failure, how could you, Easipetcare let a small cat suffer? You didn't even look at her. We will not be bringing any of our other cats back for treatment here, what's more, we have heard similar stories from friends who have been let down. We have now found a lovely Veterinary practice elsewhere and all our cats are now registered with them.
Great care of our injured pup
Our labrador puppy had an accident in the park on his evening walk and had to take him to the out of hours vets around the corner he just gave him pain killers.
Next morning our pup wasn't right so called up at 9:30, we were squeezed in at 11:45 where the vet gave a much more in depth consultation than the out of hours one and saw his tooth was cracked in two. Our pup had surgery later that day to remove the tooth as well as xrays (which we insisted on - vet suggested there were no broken bones from his examination (and he was right)). Our pup was back home by 6pm and now acts like nothing ever happened.
All the staff are great and always make a big fuss of our pup, he actually gets super excited whenever he goes.
Discusting experience with the derby…
Discusting experience with the derby branch, paid for a puppy pack on advance, was advised by the vet himself to book 2nd.jabs within 4 weeks... So we did then to be told were too late they should've been done 2-4 weeks after first lot so now having to retake the whole course of jabs elsewhere, also booked appointments with proof mean nothing... Staff rude and I helpful not sympathetic in any way. Stay clear of you want a healthy pet and not to be ripped off.
my dogs 59 days pregnant
Worst vets ever my dogs 59 days pregnant went and explained this to receptionist on the phone who then spoke to someone who I assume is a vet i dont know hes a vet nothing on medication that was prescribed to say he is a vet told me on phone that my medication was ready only to give my pregnant dog drontal which a pregnant dog shouldn't have had while pregnant if her puppies die I will be taking this further as you was told my dog was pregnant if you had have read online you would of seen that pregnant dog shouldn't of had it yes she may of had it before but was not pregnant at the time

I havd already left a review on a different platform, but having come across some negative/ one star reviews I feel the need to share how pleased I was during my life with my dog Mimi in the hands of the staff at Easypetcare in Derby. All reception staff are courteous, considerate and clearly love the pets they deal with. I am so sorry for those whose pets experienced , at this surgery, pain or worse, but I cannot speak highly enough of the staff who dealt with me. There are , these days, exceptional pressures on everyone, but I can highly recommend the Derby crew to anyone. Mo

Amazing Customer Care and low prices
Where do I begin the Derby branch and team are amazing.
Accessing appointments, call backs, electronic prescriptions and booking confirmation. Accessibility in terms of accessing a vet over a weekend/bank holiday when my former vet was charging a premium of £150. The reception team excel in customer care and are genuinely interested and do their best to assist customers in distress which I was.
The Vet was knowledgeable, during my pets assessment which I accessed on the same day was understanding and extremely helpful advising on treatments and medication options which were a fraction of the price I had been charged by my former vet.
In particular over the counter medication costing less than £4.00 which I had been paying £50
I accessed a private Perscription on repeat at a cost of only £15, enhancing the savings I made
Private prescriptions are emailed over and the vets deal with any issues or difficulties
Every difficulty or hurdle I anticipated where non existent
WHY PAY MORE
These guys are amazing and genuinely care about the pets and their owners
I’ve found easipetcare Derby great service.
I’ve found easipetcare Derby, helpful, friendly, caring and professional each time I have been. The place is always clean, staff approachable and polite, vets listen to concerns, not rushing and not trying to convince you to buy things you don’t need, I would recommend.
