Horrible
Horrible, AVOID AVOID AVOID. This is a scam and should be taken down by the authorities. I rented a car online with a picture of a solid car and a reasonable price. When I arrived, I got a different car + I had to pay more because of insurance. I did it, because I wanted to be insured, the advertisement said it was already included. I was tired and already paid in advance an amount, so I tried to move on. The car was full of damages and scratches and 50km away it started with malfunctions and no help.
When I returned I had a tiny scratch on the car (that was already full of scratches), you can probably buy new paint at one time or just brush the tiny scratch off and in my country invoiced at max 40-50 euros. Their office told me, it's fine if you have insurance, and if customer support calls you it will only be 30-40 euros. I signed, because I had to take my plane. I then got an e-mail with 0 options to reply that it would cost me 157 euros. They deducted this from my credit card in full and the deposit of 200 euro never came back or has been deducted. This means I never got my deposit back and on top of that I had to pay an insane amount for a scratch that should have been in my insurance or deducted from my deposit.
If you are already inside their schema, DON'T SIGN PAPERS ON THE END. Just give the keys and walk away to catch your flight.
Thieves and robbers...BEWARE!
Rented from these robbers at Trapani Airport in February 2024. Everything went smooth at the airport, returned the car, no damage etc. 4 months later, they took £200 from my credit card for alleged traffic violation’s and them having to tell the police my details. 8 months later still no contact from the police. They are complete SCAMMERS AND THIEVES! BEWARE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! THEY ARE WAITING TO ROB YOU!!!!
DONT HIRE CARS HERE! SCAMMERS!
We hired online a car via Holidaycars at Easycar in Palermo. First you needed to take a cab from the airport to the company, that is a 20 min drive.
Then they told us that the booking was not okay and we needed to pay double the amount of money then that we agreed on online. The cab was already gone so we got on with it. That was a big mistake, because the car that we got was horrible. After 30 min drive, all the danger lights at dashboard turned on. When we try to call them they did't speak any English. The only thing what they said was: "Text", so we texted and didn't get any response. We called three times when they finally give somebody on the phone who spoke English. He said that it was fine and that we can ride further.
When we returned the car, then they claimed that it was never okay. they wanted 211 euro more because of the 'damage'.
Please don't rent here there are a lot of car hire company's at the airport Palermo. So please get a car there before you take a cab and your stuck there.
They also put fake reviews on Trustpilot to get more stars. So don't do it if you don't want to be SCAMED!
Returned Dacia Sandero to Pisa airport…
Returned Dacia Sandero to Pisa airport and the Easy CarHire agent absolutely desperately tried to find anything wrong with the car. He even said at one point that he he thought we had taken the aerial off, which was clearly untrue as the car hadn't been leased with an aerial.
Eventually he found the tiniest scratch on a wheel rim. This cost us 126Euros which is essentially a piece of plastic. The scratch was that small that you could not identify it on the photos I had taken of it. I was made to sign the form stating there was damage under some pressure. Awful experience from start to finish. Avoid at all costs and don't be taken in by their initial starting prices. Pay a bit extra and go elsewhere.
The worst car hire and customer service…
The worst car hire and customer service experience I have ever had.
We picked up the car at Pisa airport and they forced us to take out insurance that we didn't want after giving us a thousand objections to the method of payment with the driver's card. We rented the car for 14 days. On the sixth day, we left the car parked on the street in a parking area that was properly marked. The next morning the police contacted us because during the early hours of the morning a car had crashed into several of the parked cars and ours was the most damaged as it was disabled. The police made a report and called the rental company to inform them and the tow truck to remove the car. The police told us that they had already called the tow truck so it should arrive soon. We waited by the car for several hours and no tow truck showed up. We called the rental company to ask if we had to do anything with the car and they said no. They told us that to give us a tow truck we would have to wait for several hours. They told us that in order to get a replacement car we had to go to Pisa (we were 250 km away). After thinking about it, we decided to accept to go to Pisa and when we informed the rental company, they told us that they had no vehicle available. They stopped answering our phone and wasap for the whole weekend.
On Monday mid-morning we got a call that we had to be by the car to give the keys to the tow truck (two days after the accident). Fortunately we were still staying overnight at the place where the accident happened and we agreed that they would pick up the car in the evening. Clearly they had cancelled the tow truck that called the police.
They gave us no other solution as they had no cars available. A few days later I realised that I had been charged €3000 on my card and my bank had started to refuse further charges that they were trying to make. When we enquired about these charges they did not reply. We had to hire a new car to continue our journey at a last minute price.
On the day we returned to Pisa, they told us that not only would we not get any money back, but that the €3000 would be kept until the insurers agreed that the accident was not our fault (which was clear from the police report). We asked for a claim form and they told us that they didn't have one as they only had one at the head office in Sicily and that we had to request it by post. I sent a letter and I am still waiting for a reply.
In addition to being incompetent, they are scammers. I would not recommend this company even to my worst enemy.
Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful , the extra charges at the airport .What should have been £57 turned out to be €650 , late fee , flight delayed , extra added insurance although I had already purchased it .
Absolutely no way of getting a response through email , as they keep asking for a reference I don't have .A total scam .
Avoid! There's plenty of other reputable companies at Pisa airport.
Avoid this company if you are hiring a car In Pisa. I hired a small Aygo on my visit to Italy for my sister's wedding. The collection process was VERY VERY slow the 2 women running the desk had no sense of urgency at all. They tried selling me extra insurance even through I had already paid for it online.
The car was okay and came with a full tank of fuel to be returned full (unusual) these days.
On returning my car the person in the car park said it was okay and my €750 holding deposit on my credit card would be released in 10 days this seemed a very long time to me. These 10 days passed and they still hasn't realised it so I emailed the company and got a muffled email back. I had to raise a dispute with my credit card provider to get this lifted. They really do live up to their bad reviews!
Stress free and easy pick up
What an easy and stress free carhire firm with quality cars and very freindly staff.

Absolute scam and fraudsters
Absolute scam and fraudsters. DO NOT book with these people. Worst experience we’ve had in Europe
Avoid EasyCare Hire - Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Poor Customer Service
I hired a car from EasyCare Hire and was shocked by their unethical practices. After returning the car, they accused me of taking a tyre repair foam kit from the boot and charged me £91 for it. This is completely false! I am registered disabled and would never use a tyre repair kit – I would call for breakdown assistance instead. We are also involving our credit card company.
I’ve emailed them three times about this, but I’ve only received automated responses. No proper explanation or resolution at all.
The whole rental experience was terrible from the start. When we arrived to collect the car, they took over 30 minutes to find it, despite having a confirmed booking. Unlike other rental companies with offices, they operate out of the boot of a car – very unprofessional. When they eventually did bring the car, it was much larger than what we booked, and no one even bothered to apologise for the wait. The assistant was in such a hurry to do a quick inspection and leave, which was very suspicious.
To top it off, the rental price was incredibly cheap (€42 for the week), which should have been a red flag. They may be cheap, but they are certainly not worth the hassle or dishonesty.
My advice: avoid EasyCare Hire at all costs! If you do rent from them, take photos of everything – especially the boot and where the spare tyre or repair kit is – because they will try to scam you. Cowboys and thieves!-
Awful, avoid at all costs!
Our flight was delayed by an hour so we tried to contact them, no answer. When we got here it was late and they had closed. Had to stay in a hotel overnight and when we came back in the morning they said our booking had been cancelled with no apology. They tried to charge us quadruple the price for a new booking and we lost our money. Avoid at all costs, scam!!
nice and friendly people

thank you guys you are the best

Never again with Easycarehire!!!
I can only advise against this car rental company; as a customer, you are simply exploited and left in the lurch, especially with significant additional costs.
My flight was delayed by 1.5 hours, and my paid car was automatically canceled by the rental company because, somewhere in the fine print of the 6-page voucher, it states that the rental company automatically cancels the contract after a two-hour delay, with no hope for compensation or goodwill!
At 10:00 PM, all car rental companies in Catania close, so you are practically forced to take a car under the normal conditions, which in my case was three times what I had originally paid.
Additionally, you receive a vehicle that has pre-existing damage in many places.
During the inspection, you check the car with a flashlight at that time of night.
You receive a sheet to report damages, which is blank!!! Meaning no pre-existing damages are listed!
It’s very likely that even major damage could be overlooked, and this could become expensive when returning the car.
I made a video to make sure I didn’t miss anything, but in those lighting conditions, you can’t spot small scratches!
This eventually led to a discussion when returning the car!
I rent a car in Catania every year and have never really thought about punctuality when picking up the car, as there was always a lot of leniency, or there were no consequences for delays.
In this case, Ryanair was responsible for the delay, and they only cover additional costs after a 3-hour delay!
In my case, not only was the fun of the vacation ruined, but I also had to pay an extra 577€ for a car I had already paid for!
So, never again with Easycarehire!!!
A hugely disappointing rip-off.
I couldn't find the rental desk in Pisa. It says on the website that it's at the terminal. It's not. After 20 minutes blundering through the dark, I found it and then waited 25 minutes while the staff dealt with one customer. Then I was immediately hit with a late charge of €100, then €500 in credit card charges for extra insurance. What started as a £159 rental wound up closer to €800. Avoid these guys like the plague.
One of the worst car rental company…
One of the worst car rental company ever.
Stir away from it.
Tripled the price of the quote
Please do avoid this company. We arrived at the Pisa airport car rental terminal at around 21.30, September 5th. Having received a quote through Discovery car hire from Easycarhire for circa £69. Easycarhire proceeded to tell us that they do not take an extremely common credit card, leaving us with no option but to use our Debit. The lady told us this would incur a charge but shockingly this raised the price to around £225, over triple. Given that they don't accept a wide range of credit cards, I would guess this is a deliberate tactic to get money from people. The lady was rude and unprofessional. Instead, we went to the place next door and despite it being last minute, got a better car for cheaper AND they accepted our credit card. Will be aiming to get our money back from this terrible company.
Avoid at all costs
I wish I had read the reviews of Easy Car Hire Italy before booking. As multiple other users have said AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Forced us to buy the extra insurance (even though we have additional insurance cover already on an annual plan) and then provided us with a car that was full of dents/scratches (too many to count as per other reviews.)
We booked a car that could take 5 passengers and 4 bags as we were travelling with a baby and therefore had a lot of stuff. The car provided couldn't even fit 2 suitcases in the boot!
The car had not been cleaned and still had a used razor in the boot - presumably from the previous renter - despite their own T&Cs stating cars are to be provided in perfect condition.
As we drove off the service warning light came on and later in the rental a stop light ignited telling us to check for electrical fault.
Overall terrible staff, a car not fit for purpose and frankly unsafe. Do not know how they are still trading.
TOTAL SCAM
After waiting in the queue for 90 mins the women at the desk made me take out their insurance as I was using a debit card. They didn’t hold the money on my card, it has come out of my account! Absolute joke.
The car turned up covered in way more scratches and dents than I’ve ever had from any hire company. I took photos and the guy made a note of superficial damage before handing over the keys. On returning the car there was one man there taking an age to check the car. I was going to miss my flight and asked that he check it as quickly as he could. He got aggressive with me then proceeded to tell me id made a load of new scratches a dents. Also said he didn’t have the original form that noted all the damage to the car before I picked it up. Ive now had £300 taken out of my account as a “deposit” and they have no intention of giving it back.
Do not use this company. I’m making it my mission to get them shut down!
Absolute scam
We hired through Zest (good Trust Pilot reviews) not realising we would get ECH.
Took well over an hour to collect the car.
On returning they said it was too dirty to look for scratches.
10 days after returning the car they sent me email saying they were taking 2000 euros for damage that was not on the return, they had added writing to the form after I had signed it. Outrageous behaviour 10 days after returning.
They were trying to make the couple ahead of us pay over 1000 euros to use a credit card of the husband even though he was on the car insurance. They will do anything to scam you out of money.
Do not use them at all.
Highway robbers. Total scam!.
My brother was completely scammed by this car rental company in Catania. Despite paying for full insurance coverage, and an extra fee to return the car at 4 AM, there was no staff present at the drop-off location. By 8 AM, they were already sending emails claiming he owed €1,190 for scratches that didn't exist when the car was left there.
And there was no company representative present to certify the existence of the scratches.
Rarely have I seen something more outrageous than this. They take advantage of the fact that the customer is leaving the country and cannot return to confront their staff in person, and they literally rob them of their money
These are nothing but highway robbers! The total cost for the rental ended up being €2,200, even though the car was returned spotless, clean, and well-maintained. I strongly advise against using this company – they will find any excuse to charge you outrageous fees.
