EWALLET IS A SCAM
I booked a car for 300 dollars, then I realized I had to change the pick up time for the rental. So I have to cancel the booking and start over. Here is the crucial moment of SCAM. I stupidly chose to have the money refunded to my E-wallet instead of having them refund me the money to my card. I went to rebook the same car, but every single option would only allow me to pay apartial amount upfront and the rest in person, meaning I would be left over with 80 or so dollars in my E-wallet, and having to pay 80 dollars out of pocket when I arrived. When I called to speak to someone, I was told there was nothing to be done I would just have to use the money on my next booking, then the person HUNG UP the phone on me. When I tried calling back my number was BLOCKED!! I could not call back. This is absolutely horrible customer service practice, I will NEVER ever use this company again.

In our system, e-wallet funds stay available for future bookings, and the option to send them back to the original card is handled in your profile on the website; if that choice isn’t showing, the Help Center can check it. EconomyBookings is a legitimate booking platform, but being cut off on the call and unable to ring back only made this feel worse. booked through this company for…
booked through this company for Classique car rental in Montego bay Jamaica. Wouldn't use again . The total price being £457 for 11 days, with just £331 to pay on the day. We arrived on time and was told initially we had to have the extra insurance totalling another £400 ish, that was wrong he then realised he made a mistake and it was going to be an extra amount of just under £200. It was for mandatory theft insurance? My booking states very clearly that there is only £331 to pay as it has full coverage. I also don't see how it is mandatory yet not included within the total price to pay. my only other option was to pay a deposit of $15000 for the car in case it was stolen! yes that's US fifteen thousand dollars deposit! Absolutely obscene. I had to pay the extra £200 or cancel the car and only be able to rebook with the same company voucher, and be temporarily stranded there till that was sorted. This is a straight up scam from the company and you should not be associating yourself with companies like this. The car itself was poor, air conditioning was inadequate and hardly cooled anyone, the vents had all been broken and were unable to be moved from side to side so they're just stuck in one position. it stated full to full, I had to get them to fuel it and only bothered to put a quarter of a tank in, the spare wheel was dented with a flat tyre and they accused me of doing that at the end as they never checked before. the spare wheel was not the space saver it should have been so took up more space in the back than needed, and it was also a mitsubishi galant, from 2015. so an 11 year old car, nothing like the advertised image which I get, it wont be like for like, but that's just stupid.
I also cant seem to find anywhere on economy booking website to complain as links are not working, so this was my only option. feel free to contact me about this complaint if you want to.

I booked and paid for a rental car yesterday. As I had not received any booking confirmation, I logged into the company's website today. To my surprise, I discovered that EconomyBookings had cancelled my reservation without informing me in any way whatsoever.
The only way to contact EconomyBookings is through an online contact form. However, because the rental is due to start in less than two days, the company itself recommends contacting them by telephone. The problem is that there is no telephone number available anywhere on their website.
This is completely unacceptable and leaves customers without any meaningful way of resolving urgent issues.
I strongly advise everyone not to use this company. I will also be reporting this matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities in Denmark.

It is extremely concerning that a company like EconomyBookings is in possession of my payment details.

A few points that should help:
On reaching us by phone: there are several phone numbers listed on the website — the line is answered first by an AI assistant, but you can ask it to connect you to a human agent and it will redirect you. So there is a phone route available, even if it wasn't obvious at first glance.
On the cancellation: an email is normally sent when a reservation is cancelled, so it's worth checking your spam or junk folder in case it filtered there. Cancellations of this kind often occur when the rental company flags no availability for the booked vehicle — in which case the payment is voided back rather than charged, typically releasing to your card within a few business days.
The difficulty from this end is that we're not able to locate your booking under the details available here, so we can't confirm why it was cancelled or check the refund status directly. Please drop a line to community@bookinggroup.com with your booking number (or the email the booking was made under), and the team can pull the case, confirm what happened, and — if you still need a vehicle for those dates — help arrange a replacement quickly given the tight timeframe.

I am not sure if I actually have a reservation. Your confirmation indicates a rental with Thrifty. When I try to verify the confirmation with Thrifty, they indicate that the confirmation number you gave me is invalid. So, it is difficult to determine how to rate your service. I sure hope this works.

Let me put your mind at ease — this is a mix-up between two different reference numbers rather than a problem with your reservation.
EconomyBookings issues its own booking number, which starts with "B" — that's the reference for the booking made through us. The rental company (Thrifty) has their own separate confirmation number, which is different from ours and is the one Thrifty's system recognises. When you gave Thrifty the EconomyBookings "B" number, they wouldn't have found it, because that's our internal reference, not theirs — which is why it came back as invalid on their end.
The Thrifty confirmation number is shown in your voucher — so that's the reference to quote when verifying directly with Thrifty. If you check the voucher, you should see the supplier's own booking reference listed separately from the "B" number, and that's the one their system will recognise.
So your reservation is very likely in place — it's just a case of using the right reference with the right party. If you'd like us to confirm the booking is active and locate the Thrifty reference for you, drop a line to community@bookinggroup.com with your "B" booking number and we'll verify it directly and put the uncertainty to rest.
