We received a egg Chair as a gift 12 months ago on initial set up the paint flaked off in various areas as there was no undercoat for the paint to stick to the welding of the metal frame is extremely poor where they have not filed the excess weld and and sharp edges. now it is 12 months old. It is aged extremely quickly. And looks like it’s about 15 years old. We mentioned this to egg chairs Australia and gave them all the dates and photos and we were quickly dismissed saying it was fair wear and tear which I found absolutely astonishing. So all I can say is please do not use this company and waste your money as the product is of quality and the Customer Service even worse.
Inconsistent finish and damaged.. Selling seconds and not first quality
Keep away unless you want an Egg Chair that's been sprayed over sticky tape and the finish is inconsistent! Damaged on the base too. Plenty of Egg Chairs that are first quality and not seconds like Egg Chairs Australia is selling. They organised a replacement frame which arrived worse than the existing one..I wish I could attach photos 😑
Beware - SCAM
Perches an Egg chair and cushion on the 8th February 2025, to be picked up from Melbourne warehouse, after three weeks as I had not heard from them, I got on to FB and made a comment saying still waiting for my chair, 3 minutes later I was contacted on messenger advising the reason is the warehouse is close due re stocking and renovations and requested the order number, sent a message back with the order number.
22.02.25 they confirmed the chair is in stock however waiting on the cushions and will be re stocked on Wednesday next week and they will contact me to organize for pickup on Thursday next week for pick, and that the support team will organize team will email with pickup instructions. Then two days later I get a message and a link to booking my appointment to pick up my egg chair which was a Sunday. On the Sunday 01.03.2025 I get an email to say the booking has been cancelled due to short staff, sent an email and a message questioning when I can next pick up the Egg Chair.
Then received an email to confirm the booking has been cancelled, but they will deliver the Egg chair free of charge within the week and this was 1st weeks in March. Again, sent an email regarding delivery, received email that delivery was meant to be on the 14.03.2025. 9th of March receives another email asking for the address. sent the address this was two weeks ago and still waiting with no response to the emails, no Egg chair, and no money.
Also notice I have been blocked on Facebook and any comments I had made has been removed. beware any negative comments are removed from Facebook.

Late, unresponsive, and irresponsible.
Truly one of the worst online shopping experiences I have ever had. Usually, I am not one to create reviews for online companies, but to try and help someone looking for an egg chair I felt best to do what I could.
Firstly, the process seemed great, a delivery date for December 2024 was set when I first purchased in November 2024 and things seemed good. Cut to mid December 2024, that date had now passed. Although I had been promised delivery before Christmas I gave the benefit of the doubt around a busy Christmas period, I did not reach out to check. I assumed my delivery would happen early Jan 2025.
I then emailed in January 2025 as I had heard nothing over the break, and the chair was soon delivered on the 9th. I then reached out as the chair did not have the assembly parts (Hook and Spring/bolts) and the chair looked like it had been crushed in transport. The decorative strapping around the edges were also ripped and torn while unraveling. I was then advised a new basket would be delivered as well as the missing parts, and the broken chair removed on delivery of the new order.
A new order was generated mid January and I was told it would be sent "ASAP" I then emailed to follow up a week later as no update was provided, and was then told the chairs would be restocked "Mid-February" (baring in mind I first ordered in November)
I then emailed mid February as I hadn't had an update, and requested some form of compensation due to the time taken to get my order. I was told a free protective cover would be added to the order (a cheap bit of material is what has been provided) I was told the delivery was due on 24th February.
Skip to March 9th, and I was still yet to hear anything, and 5 emails following up later, I was still yet to hear anything. I requested that the cover not be included as I knew this would be a cheap cover. The delivery showed up, did not knock on my door, did not remove the old broken chair, and left the new order on my driveway out in the open with no notes. Fortunately, no one stole the chair after the hours it was sat, but when I next went outside I saw the chair.
I then emailed and asked them to collect the chair, or compensate us to remove it/send it to the tip, as this would be at a cost.
It is now 14th of March at the writing of this email, and I have been told "Mid-April" will be the next run to my state, and the chair will be collected then. Although based on the previous entries above, I may have the old chair until the middle of the year.
Whatever you do, I would not risk purchasing anything from this company, as they seem to be falling apart, unresponsive, and completely fraudulent.
WARNING - SCAM
WARNING - This company is a scam. I paid online for a weatherproof cover and a cushion. After several weeks of chasing the products a bag with no labels was thrown over my fence. It contained an extremely poor quality cushion that was not the colour or size I ordered and nothing else.
I’ve spent 8 weeks trying to get a refund or delivery of the products I ordered and they keep sending me emails with fake shipping numbers. I have reported this company to the ACCC and recommend every other person who has also been scammed by them does the same. This company is fake, they take your money with no intention of sending you a real product or a product that resembles any of their stock photos.
Additionally - Despite ignoring my emails and not processing a refund - they very quickly deleted my social media comments and blocked my social media account - They did so in under 20 mins, so they are very clearly monitoring all online activity and just choosing to ignore emails from paying customers.

Order an egg chair online throughPayPal, paid another $45 for delivery through bank transfer, after 3 weeks passed, they still don't know when they
can deliver the egg chair ,therefore I asked for refund, ignored my emails at first until I filed for dispute on PayPal, however they don't refund the $45 delivery fee ,I got to contact my bank and hopefully can re charge the money.
I really doubt they have any egg chair in stock, they never offered any available egg chairs...Terrible experience

TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION
TERRIBLE. they have no phone number listed on their website to call (always dodgy in my opinion) and you can't even make an appointment for their warehouse on any day beyond today (every day you get to make an appointment for that day only). i was concerned that it would be stressful trying to pick it up and trying to arrange a time for a pick up so i emailed the company to find out if i could pick up two double egg chairs later in the week. the email bounced. so you can't call or email. I WAS GOING TO ORDER TWO KING SIZE EGG CHAIRS AND TWO PROTECTIVE COVERS. WON'T BE BUYING THROUGH THEM ANY MORE.
Bad customer service
To start with, the delivery wait time was atrocious. But the chair was good and felt solid.
Until exactly 12 months and 10 days after delivery, of course 10 days outside of warranty. That’s when the welded posts came apart.
I emailed the company and got told ‘structural damage’ isn’t covered under warranty. What the? That’s the very definition of a warranty.
A $400 chair should last longer than 12 months. It sits in our patio, outside of the weather. There’s no rust or any reason for it to break aside from poor quality. Shameful.
Awful ONGOING experience
Shipping wait time was awful. Communication & customer service even worse. Incorrect & damaged order was delivered & still awaiting a resolution. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

Order chair and mat 30/12/24 still have not received items. Sent emails requesting update on delivery for pickup. The reply was they apoligised and I will be notified when item is ready. Went to eggaustralia warehouse 9/24 Ried st Ardeer. There was a phone number on the door. I called it and the number belongs to a person that lives in QLD. Person advised they have received phone calls for Eggchairs enquirer on their delivery.

Do not deal with them. After waiting three weeks for delivery I had to contact them before they then arranged for the chair to be despatched. Delivery awful. No warning. Dumped on the driveway where it could be seen clearly from the street. The chair was unravelling and the chain was missing. Had to quote the law to them to get it picked up. 2 weeks later still waiting for the refund. Numerous emails pretending they don’t understand I have dropped all niceties but I seriously think I’m not going to see a dollar. They should be run outa town.

My double Egg Chair was delivered between 10pm - 6am dumped on the street at the front of my house.
Carried the chair to its location downstairs and started to unwrapped it.
The paint started to peel off the frame. I thought maybe just a small amount, BUT it's the entire frame.
They sent the wrong cushion.
I emailed Mayra with no reply to not 1 or 2 but 4 emails.
Tried the 1300 number which requested that we email the email support team and they will get back to us within 24 hours.
After no response, I jumped on FaceBook and managed to get contact through messenger, next day I was blocked from their FaceBook page.
Refused to refund the item, said they will send the correct cushion, still waiting for this.
I'll take what I can get.

Purchased 2 x egg chair cushions
Purchased 2 x egg chair cushions. They arrived on 7/12/24. 2 completely different ones. Have been advised they will send the correct one straight away. Even gave false tracking details. Told me discard the cover which was incorrect (I could use the internal stuffing). Now to get a refund i have to return what they told me to discard. Now they reckon they are sold out & I have to wait till March. Worst customer service ever.
