Friendly but ultimately useless. Through no fault of El Corte Ingles, the courier (MRW) lost my package. El Corte Ingles will not refund me until the package has returned to them which is fair enough.... See more
Online Hell
The most terrible customer service for online shopping. It works ok for in store pick up or same day delivery but if you happen to get something on a regular delivery (I think they use MRW) be prepared for disaster. They take weeks to dispatch your item and mrw does not accurately tell you when your item will be delivered. If you happen to miss 1 delivery attempt your new item will be shipped back to Spain. If you complaint that your item was not delivered and no refund was received they will tell you that they need to check your item once it has been returned, is that a good customer service?!
I recently placed an online order with…
I recently placed an online order with a delivery time of around one week. In the meantime 1 month has passed and still no order. The support center has attended all my calls, but always come up with a different delivery time and information is not consistent. No pro active communication. All over a quite disappointing of a company that has such a good image.
Wow, how can they still be in business? One star is one too many then they deserve
Ordered a christmas present and was promised on website and phone that it would be delivered before 24th Dec. Nothing arrived and they canceled my order without asking me. Then i had to buy the product again from their website with a promise it would be delivered 28th of Dec. Nothing arrived and then they said that it might come 24th of Jan next year! A lot of false marketing selling products they don't even have. Not a serious online shop and this caused me alot of time and frustration. Got several different excuses from their support regarding why this happened, some straight up lies and some explainations that they didnt have the product and did not know when they would. Still they continue selling it on their website. Finally had to cancel my order and buy from a serious supplier. Im very surprised how a big company like this can continue using these false promises of delivery times without being held responesable? They held my money for over 3 weeks, double the amount for some days because of their cancelation and I had to buy the product again from them. Good business model keeping customers money for some time and eventually force the client to buy somewhere else and cancel an order they never intended to deliver. Lesson learned, moving on to more serious suppliers. Never again El Corte Ingles.
First and last experience
First and last experience.
Received an used item (maybe a devolution, I guess).
After 4 months of emails, most of which stating the process was being sent to the right department, they agree to make a direct exchange.
I deliver the used equipment. In the agreed term, same or next day, I receive no exchange.
After about 20 days I receive the exchange: what's in the box? The exactly same scratched equipment with a software update.

I order online hoping it will get shipped early, more than one week later they tell me it is delayed for more than one and a half months and no possibility of changing the item for another one. Will never try to use El Corte Ingles again!! Really dissapointed
Media Mod marked as delivered even though it was never in stock
I ordered a Gopro Media Mod, that was sold out everywhere but marked as in stock in elcorteingles.pt but in reality they just expected stock, this stock never arrived with them so they decided to mark my order as recieved and just kept my money. Turns out Gopro doesnt deliver this item to europe anymore. They would have just stolen my money flat out. After a call to their hotline they confirmed they just flag every order as recieved that has overdue delivery, outrageous.
Don’t order online
Ordered online, send an email to cancel my order however no answer after 3 days.
Secondly 40 min waiting over the phone with no answer ( just give up waiting )
Worst online & customer service ever.
Corte Ingles brand has lost most its value to me due to their messy online operations
Once again, I should have read the reviews here before ordering through their Portugal website. I am usually happy with my visits at their supermarkets and dpt stores in Spain. Didn't know their e-.commerce operations were such a disaster (and please spare me the Covid excuses). Delay in shipping as opposed to what was promised, and then complete radio silence from their customer service, despite several emails asking for an update, Finally goods where shipped thru a 3rd party, who proved as unreliable, with supposedly the parcel being distributed for two days but no sign of it, and of course no feedback from their call center as well. Never again !!
EL CORTE INGLES - THE FIRST AND LAST TIME
I bought a parcel on the 04/17-2020 with the added value of shipping costs totaling € 27.35. After 15 days I received an email on 05-05-2020 saying that after all the product I had ordered was not in stock and that I had to ask for a refund (at the time of purchase that item was marked as available. I was even interested in another one, but that one was yes, was unavailable. So I bought the product that was available and that the system gave me access to proceed with the purchase). In this same e-mail was a refund sheet to be completed with the value of € 16.36 which I honestly don't know where they get this amount from since it is less than what I honestly paid. I tried to call customer support more than once without success as they always kept me waiting until after 30 minutes they hung up for both times. I had also previously sent e-mails asking for clarification and I have not yet received a response until today 18-05-2020. I even wrote to the El Corte Inglês Facebook page since there were comments from them advising upset customers to write there in order to solve the problems quickly, obviously also unanswered. I was also reading comments from other customers completely indignant with their market approach stance also saying that El Corte Ingles does not refund the amount paid for transport costs ... I honestly don't know if this is true or not, I hope not be it because it will take a very valid justification for someone to accept their decision because in my humble opinion it has a word: theft. So up till today there is no news about my refund!!
Unreliable website
Unreliable website. Shipping dates don't match reality, customer service by email don't reply, by phone don't help. Don't warn customers about delays, don't compensate for issues caused to the customer.
