El Monte RV - San Francisco Reviews 

I was in vehicle #35817 when I received it, it was dirty, the floors were dirty, the cutlery was sticky.

In addition to that, the employee who greeted me was unwilling to explain the proper functioning of the vehicle.

But the worst part wasn't that, but rather when, after driving for a couple of hours, I arrived at my first campsite. As soon as I turned off the truck and was relying solely on the battery power, everything failed.

The lights flickered after 15 minutes, and when it started to get cold and I tried to turn on the propane heater, it only came on for 5 seconds before shutting off completely. No more lights, no more refrigerator, and no more heater.

It was a very cold night, and you could really feel it inside the truck.

My wife, my 3-year-old son, and I spent a very cold night. The next morning I called the roadside assistance number and they told me to go to a place 15 minutes away to have the batteries changed, but they didn't have them. So they told me the best option was to drive 30 minutes in the opposite direction from where I was continuing my trip to a workshop where they could change the batteries.

I did this, losing approximately 3 hours between going there, waiting for them to change them, and returning the way I was going. I wasted vacation time and money, not only on fuel but also on the food in the refrigerator that spoiled due to the lack of power.

After all that, the trip went normally and the truck worked correctly.

Now, when I went to return it on May 3rd, another problem started. Apparently, the rear bumper has a very small dent, which I don't remember when it happened since I hadn't noticed it.

To summarize, they charged me $1200 for the rear bumper damage, even though I had VIP insurance

But for delivering a dirty truck, spending a freezing night with my family without electricity, having to throw away food, spending money on gas to drive back and forth to replace the batteries, and losing half a day of my vacation, they're only refunding me $90 in compensation.

It seems very unfair that if I have to cover the excessive costs of the bumper repair, the company, El Monte, won't take responsibility for all the lost time, money, food, cold, and stress that my family and I endured.

Service with a smile an lot of humor. It was very professional and quick. Everything was well arranged and the RV was clean and everything was working properly!

Would never use them again. Very sleazy and unethical

We had an incredible trip! The staff of El Monte RV is very kind and friendly. They helped us quickly with any problems. The RV was modern and as described. I highly recommend them for any trip in the US.

Very good RV company. There's a lot of additional fees usually, which is fine. The RV is a little bit older than their partner Road Bear RV but all in all it is a great experience, with a nice location and a nice dealership

Terrific experience with El Monte RV! We rented a 26’ practically new Class C for a long weekend trip. The rental process was very easy, their agent (Milan) did a great job showing us “the ropes”. The RV was well appointed, and very easy to drive. We had been talking about renting an RV for years, so glad we decided to go with El Monte, looking forward to our next RV adventure!

We were met by positive, smiling and well-meaning employees and they gave a thorough introduction to all the technical and practical aspects of the RV. When we returned it was a fast and smooth process, very professional. We can only recommend this company.

We rented our first RV for the spring break. Maya and Safi patiently explained all the features of the RV to make us feel comfortable. Super clean and nice facility and nice staff.

Very convenient and good price

Pick up and drop off was easy, they show all the steps on how to use the RV, was clean and ready for pickup at agreed time. Staff is kind and knowledgeable of products. Would definitely rent again.

The experience is incredible! Waking up and going to sleep in different places every day is a wonderful feeling of freedom. Points to improve: the water level is inaccurate and the tank is small. Heating the water is also complicated and time-consuming, but it works. We received excellent service at the location.

The staff during the delivery and return of the RV was extremely professional and helpful.

We rented an RV from El Monte, Dublin for the weekend. Very smooth process from pick up to return. The lady at the check in (don’t know her name) was super nice and friendly. Maya gave us an entire walk through of the RV. She was amazing too and answered all our questions. She was also there during our return and it was such an easy process. Took less than 10 mins.
Would recommend them without a second thought to anyone wanting to rent an RV for a trip.

Family of 6 enjoyed the Sunseeker, will use again next year over spring break!
