The RV has some defects

I would like to say that the RV we rented from El Monte for 5 weeks was absolutely fine. No complaints! Unfortunately, after 2 of the 5 weeks of vacation, we received the news that my mother was dying. From Bryce Canyon NP, we drove to the nearest international airport in Las Vegas. Although we picked up the RV in San Francisco and were supposed to return it there as well, we returned it to the El Monte branch in Las Vegas. We had already paid for 3,000 miles in advance, but we had only driven 1,000 miles. We also returned the RV 3 weeks early. Naturally, this RV will be rented out again within these 3 weeks. The staff in Las Vegas offered their condolences. Unfortunately, we were told that we had to pay $1,800 drop-off fees because we did not return the RV in San Francisco. We also received absolutely nothing back for the 2,000 miles already paid for and unused, nor for the 3 weeks that we returned the RV early. They also told us: "You must have insurance; surely that covers it?" Unbelievable! We were very disappointed in El Monte. We had expected a more humane response in such a sad situation. The $1,800 penalty drop-off fee, in particular, hurt a lot. We had expected more compassion. We didn't return the RV 3 weeks early for fun. This was an emergency. Manager Florian Heris (or Henis) could do nothing for us. Head office had decided not to show any leniency. We paid because we wanted to go home urgently. My mother passed away a few hours later. You could have handled this better and more humanely, El Monte! We still hope for a refund of these ridiculous extra costs paid, and perhaps the unused miles and weeks.

Modern, lots of space, good facilities

It worked well for us. Although the house batteries needed to be changed. Staff were helpful and polite. The RV was clean and tidy. It had done 55000 miles in 28 months and was in good condition. We have had 30ft RVs before with longer wheel bases and they are more tricky to drive as the turning circle is huge!

Among other things, the following factors helped us to make this experience unforgettable. 1-The support of the people at the counter (Christina and Jessie) helped us gain confidence for this new adventure. They explained various details about the trip and encouraged us to feel safe. 2-The RV was clean, nice, comfortable, and easy to jump in on this adventure. 3-All the equipment worked perfectly during the trip. Although we had 24-hour roadside assistance, we did not need to use it. 4-The RV return was also extremely easy. We didn't spend time on this protocol. Thank you, and I recommend this place to fulfill one of your "bucket list" wishes.

Spacious without being too big to handle. First time driving one and got the hang of it pretty quickly

The RV was very good, relatively new. The double bed mattress was not very good. We had to use the insurance because we got stuck in the sand, and I was promptly assisted by email.

The RV was a 2025 model but with 45k felt like driving a 20 year old vehicle. Everything was falling apart and the ride was absolutely horrible. This RV absolutely sucks.
