Enjoyed the experience. So well looked after. Food excellent, staff brilliant. However Found too much walking for me.

The ship is beautifully designed, with a stylish yet intimate atmosphere. With far fewer passengers than a conventional cruise ship, it never felt crowded, and there was always a real sense of space and tranquillity. The crew were exceptional — friendly, attentive and genuinely keen to make sure everyone had a memorable experience.

The food was another highlight, with a good variety of dishes and consistently high standards. We particularly enjoyed the relaxed dining experience and the opportunity to enjoy meals while taking in the scenery.

Overall, the Emerald Azzurra provided a wonderful combination of luxury, relaxation, excellent service and genuine adventure. It felt much more like travelling on a private yacht with friends than being on a traditional cruise ship.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time aboard and would happily travel on the Emerald Azzurra again.

Despite difficult river water level conditions best efforts were made to adhere to the schedule. Sadly the section of the Rhine we particularly wanted to see was missed out - still gives a chance for a return trip! Assistance portering our luggage to the ship on arrival would have been appreciated but sadly we had to clamber over another moored ship before we were noticed struggling with our luggage once on board. In all though a most enjoyable holiday and we hope to river cruise again with Emerald in preference to a similarly priced competitor.

Made to feel very welcome from the minute we stepped on board. Everything was well organised from start to finish and we thoroughly enjoyed the organised excursions. The service received from all of the staff was incredible and the food took it to another level. This was our first experience of a river cruise and it didn’t disappoint.

Exceptional service. Delicious food and a very warm and efficient staff, always ready to assist. The daily tours were full of interest and historical content. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Fantastic Holiday - wonderful Ship, food, excursions and staff

A beautiful ship with a fabulous crew who were always ready to help.Despite the problems with lack of water the Captain steered us calmly through fantastic scenery.Our guides were informative and all had a great sense of humour.The food was delicious and the evening entertainment was very enjoyable. Our room was really comfortable and many thanks to the young lady who left it immaculate every day.

We have done about six river cruises.all with Emerald and always get great service, lovely ships and great food. Tours are always well planned

The whole trip was excellent. Made so comforting by the crew.

Beautiful ship. Food choices and quality very good, great presentation. Excellent service from all the staff. Our room was perfect, a bit disappointed that most of the trip we sailed when we were sleeping and didn't see the countryside. Or we were berthed next to other ships so the blinds were down constantly. The lounge/bar area was cold to sit in. My husband and I will sail with Emerald again in the future.

The whole cruise was a pleasure on the Emerald Dawn; the whole crew were so kind, always with a smile. The man who cleaned our room, Alex, nothing was too much trouble for him; the two girls in the restaurant, Anna and i think it was Karloina, always knew my wine glass or beer glass was empty there would just fill them and nod at me. The food was first class; the captain did an awesome job navigating the water when the river was so low so five stars to you all

The drought across Europe is causing havoc for all river cruise operators but we couldn’t fault the way Emerald dealt with disruptions to our July Rhine cruise. We were more than happy with the compensation package and revised itinerary and had a great holiday. We have already booked another cruise with them.

We were left at Frankfurt airport by the rep who didn't ring us to find out where we were. Very bad start to a river cruise.

First time with Emerald river cruises, couldn’t have asked for more, food, ship & crew excellent.

We were disappointed in our recent river cruise with Emerald. The dining room was very noisey and conversation was difficult at times. Some fellow cruisers didn't appear to show much respect for the staff - who were all lovely. Appearing at dinner wearing the clothes they have worn all day - standards have definitely changed.

No record of us going down Danube in 2015 with them! Unbelievable!

It’s quite a small boat therefore number of passengers are quite less.All the staff starting from cruise director to waiting staff and the reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our chef was also approachable and friendly as we few passengers being vegetarian/vegan.
The number of excursions planned were just right so we had enough time to relax on the boat too.
