DO NOT USE
Had tickets booked for May, this was obviously cancelled due to Coronavirus.
I was given a voucher however, the shows are still cancelled, we are still in a pandemic and it is impossible to rebook. All ticket prices are now double the price, making the voucher useless.
i will be taking further action.
disgusting company.
DO NOT TRUST ENCORE TICKETS
I had a terrible experience with this company. The vouchers expire very quickly! The range of shows is very limited on their website and when you click on them there are no tickets available. It has been really difficult to use the vouchers due to the pandemic and you cannot contact them by phone and when they do reply to emails, they are unhelpful. They are stuck in the dark ages, you cant even use the vouchers online but have to email customer services and get them to book on your behalf. I strongly recommend you do not use them!
Be warned .....
Show is cancelled due to Covid19 and according to their website and answer phone message, you are entitled to a refund or rebook. I have had an email attaching a credit voucher but no option to select for a refund. I have since sent several messages to them requesting a refund but have had no response. There is no option to speak to anyone either. At the moment, I don't think I will see my £300 again. Im just hoping that my credit card company may be able to reclaim the money back otherwise I guess it will be small claims court??
Use a different company for gifts
Use a different company for gifts.
This lot are awful. Not a great choice of shows yet gift vouchers have a really short time in which to be used - which is not always clear for the recipient. This means vouchers can expire before you have a chance to use them. Customer service is unhelpful. Strongly suggest using a different theatre voucher company
Awful customer service and no refund…
Awful customer service and no refund despite Coronavirus cancellation! Do not trust this company!
Absolute rubbish rip off merchants
Absolute rubbish rip off merchants. No word on when or if we will get our money back due to the cancelled show Singing In the rain. You try ringing up it's a standard message saying email them, but they don't answer. Any idea what to do next?
complained to STAR
As I still haven't heard from this company regarding not being able to use my voucher or get a refund, I have today put in a complaint to STAR (The Society of ticket agents and retailers) to see if they can help me get my money back. Encore are members. I just thought I'd post this if it can help others in the same position as me.
Like many others
Like many others, I am sickened by Encore’s response to the Covid crisis! It appears they have no intension of refunding our money and have essentially stolen millions of pounds from hardworking families!
I live in Australia. Planes will not be flying to the UK at least until 2022, so my 18-month voucher, valid from today, is no more than four-months (or less). And once the theatres reopen, how will they possibly honour the vouchers as the demand for seats will completely outstrip the supply! Their voucher system is a joke!
How can I join a class action suit against Encore?
Booked tickets in January for April 9th…
Booked tickets in January for April 9th performance.
I am appalled to see that so many people have had the same experience as myself with Encore tickets. My wife booked tickets in January for my birthday in April. They must be holding thousands of pounds of customer money and don't even have the decency to reply to their customer queries. This type of service is unacceptable and can only have a disastrous effect on the West End Theatre reputation and viability.
It's not bad customer service, it's NO customer service
I would say I've had bad customer service from Encore but I've hardly had any service at all!! They don't appear to be contactable by phone, so when I heard nothing from them for weeks after my show was cancelled, I messaged them several times. Never heard anything back. So they still owe me about £90 for that, which I've pretty much given up hope of ever getting back. 😒 I did receive two vouchers from them, after a further two shows were cancelled, so I thank them for that, but when I tried to used those vouchers on the Encore website, neither of them worked!! 🤦♀️ Again, I have tried to contact them several times about this but they never respond to any of my messages. 😡
I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. Similar to others, I was sent a voucher with an extra 10% for a performance that was cancelled back in April. I requested a refund as I will not be able to return to the theatre any time soon. I am repeatedly receiving the same message that it takes 30 working days to process a refund. I am so unimpressed by this company and can only assume they are trying to keep hold of as much cash as possible and use delaying tactics for as long as possible.
When my show was cancelled due to…excellent
When my show was cancelled due to present circumstances I contacted the company and spoke to a lovely lady by the name of Raynor.
This lady is marvellous and the company are privileged to have her services.
Thank you Raynor, I really appreciated you excellent competence.

Encore refund - service is shocking
Am awaiting refund of tickets for Cursed Child. I either receive an automated response or nothing at all. Would not use this company when theatres re-open.
Purchased 3 tickets for The tiger who…
Purchased 3 tickets for The tiger who came to Tea in August. I emailed Encore in July when we knew theatres would not re-open, asking for a refund. They responded with n email asking us to be patient, which we have been. We have today been offered a voucher but do not accept this as we want a refund. I have emailed them giving them 7 days to refund me or I shall take legal action. Encore are in breach of consumer legislation in the UK and I urge all dissatisfied customers who can’t get a refund to issue a summons in their county court. If Encore receive numerous summonses, they may have to review the way they are acting. They will also have to pay court fees so it is in their interest to pay up without delay.
They no longer offer telephone service and seem not to care at all about their customers at all.
I hope when theatres do eventually re-open, they boycott Encore ticket agency as other agencies have been giving refunds.
Encore Voucher Rip Off
Due to Covid 19 we had 7 tickets cancelled for Pretty Woman at a cost of £362. We were sent a voucher, with no option for a refund. We’ve been trying to redeem the voucher and rebook but the voucher code doesn’t work.
We have asked for a refund but received no response and can’t reach anyone on the phone. Judging by the reviews on here I’m not hopeful I’ll see it again.
I understand the theatre industry is in a difficult place but robbing customers isn’t an acceptable solution.
My tickets for Mary Poppins
My tickets for Mary Poppins was cancelled due to Covid 19. I received a link to redeem my vouchers for the show which you must have is absolutely a non starter. Having tried several times I contacted their booking amendment team to explain the issue. A Veronica Fillipopoulou from customer services responded by offering to redeem the ticket on my behalf and provided with ref no, name of the show and the date I would like to book. In good faith I provided with the information she requested. I was so hopeful that I will received my tickets as they were a birthday present for my daughter. Guess what Ms Fillipopoulou has disappeared and no one responding to the several messsges I have sent. The telephone no on their website failed. How on earth do you get in touch with them.
Exceptionally slow to refund
Despite knowing my show had been cancelled for 6 months, they waited another couple of weeks before they got in touch and offered me a voucher. I refused and after a phone call they said they would process a refund. Several weeks later I get an email saying they have received my request for a refund and it will take another month ! So, if it happens, my money will have been refunded 8 months after the show was cancelled. Multiply this by hundreds of thousands of tickets across the business and Encore have enjoyed a great interest-free loan !
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL
I brought 3 tickets for Pretty Woman, show cancelled. I eventually had an email from encore saying I would be offered a refund, voucher or exchange, well I had another email today saying that they have issued me a voucher! I never got to pick what I wanted. When I went on their website to re book tickets, what a shock their ticket prices have gone up. My original tickets were £56.00 each they are now £77.00 total rip off. I'm now hoping for a refund wish me luck.
No info from cancelation in March 2020
Booked tickets for the Madame Butterfly opera at London Coliseum back in March 2020. Heard absolutely nothing from them about getting a refund. They told us they'd sent a form to request - but never did. Like everyone else cannot get hold of anyone from Encore. I have reported to coronavirus-business-complaint.service.gov.uk maybe if everyone here experiencing the same reports them too they will get a red flag..
No refund after making the request several months ago
After emailing them for several months they agreed to refund me. However they said it would take up to 30 days. That period expired last week... I've asked them to escalate it to complaints. Now they are ignoring me. Something awry must be happening in their finance department! I'd never buy tickets with them in future.
