Having booked for jersey boys may 2021 this being cancelled requested refund not a rebooking 25 june and am still waiting three times have been promised refund in seven days , they sent me a rebooking which said I hadn’t asked for as now unfortunately unemployed due to redundancy, I totally understand terrible time theatres are having but I need my refund have emailed every day for past seven days and not one reply !! I recently purchased West End tickets for Only Fool and Horses on 13th June 2021 and have not received confirmation nor e tickets. The money left my bank and despite my contacting their ‘help’ line and phone on 020 7400 1255 answer machine states they are working from home (this was attempted several times and no one has returned my call since Monday 14th) I have not received any response and it is now the 17th June. I have phoned the theatre directly ( where the show will be held on 6th Nov) and, fortunately they have confirmed tickets are booked for the time I requested. However, they operate under a different system and reference number and cannot send me the tickets. Worst case scenario I have been informed to contact the Theatre nearer the show time and arrange to collect on the day!! I so wanted to present the e tickets/any tickets for this coming Father’s Day. I too am stressed and very disappointed. I will never book through agents again but book directly through the theatre. After-all, £232 is a lot of money my children contributed together for their father’s present and, they too are devastated.
No confirmation, no tickets, no response
I had a voucher for a cancelled show, and have recently rebooked two shows. I did not receive a confirmation email or my e-tickets. I wrote the reference numbers in my diary so I have evidence of the bookings. I have emailed them full details, twice, and not received a reply. Extremely stressed and unimpressed.

My show was cancelled and I used 100 % voucher code for new dates later in year without a problem. I did have to use the actual London theatre site and voucher worked. I sent redeemed voucher request yesterday via their priority rebooking site and got voucher email this afternoon. Fantastic

After reading the one positive review on redeeming credit vouchers, I submitted a request to redeem the voucher yesterday (Saturday) and didn't expect to hear back until Tuesday at the earliest since it's a Bank Holiday weekend. However, the reply came within a few minutes with a link to a different website where I can redeem my voucher in the promo code box (with the first 3 letters of your surname preceding the voucher code). I have now booked my tickets, which have been emailed to me instantly. Cannot fault this experience - don't understand why Encore has not updated this information on their main website!

I had a virgin experience voucher for a theatre trip which I had booked prior to covid and it was cancelled. It took a year for them to actually sort out re-issuing the voucher for me (I had to chase LOADS as they kept forgetting....) and now they won't even let me re-book it or provide a refund. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I booked tickets for The Prince of Egypt and never received an email confirmation. I’ve tried emailing with no response and there’s no phone number, it’s completely unacceptable! Never ever use this company!
I just wanted confirmation that I have my tickets, I’ll be contacting my bank and the small claims court if I haven’t heard anything by the end of the week.

Today I was very sceptical in claiming my voucher after seeing so many complaints on here. However, I went onto the website to redeem my voucher. Within 2 minutes I received an email with my redemption code. I then chose which show I wanted and entered my redemption code, booked the date and seats and within 5 minutes my tickets for the show were emailed to me! So, I would suggest everyone try again and hopefully you will find it as easy and quick as I did to get my show tickets. Also the tickets were alot cheaper than I paid for last year so I have credit left over which they told me I can use for another booking! Great!

This deserves a follow up purely to warn others that this company offers no customer service or a desire to put right its own failings in not responding or providing tickets when they have been paid for! Warning: make sure when you purchase it costs more that £100, which will ensure you are covered under section 75 and able to obtain you monies back, else be prepared to lose your money from a company that is happy to take your money without giving you the service or goods! Next stop will be looking at alternative methods to get my money back!

Having recently purchased tickets through londontheatre.co.uk for the Globe Theatre in London for June 2021 and being informed that tickets would be sent within 15minutes of the booking, I am still awaiting them! This has now been 14 days with no answers to 3 emails through their on Contact page, a disastrous customer service! It therefore doesn't surprise me that they offer no contact numbers, the one that you do find via google simply informs you that the desk is closed. In my mind the whole organisation should be closed as they offer very poor service. I am now left with contacting my Credit Card and request refund via the Chargeback process
Don’t Buy Theater Tickets Through Encore
Without consulting me, my husband booked theater tickets for “Anything Goes” and “Wicked” through Encore for performances in early to mid June, dates we anticipated being in London following a cruise out of and back into Southampton. We had to cancel our plans when Princess was forced to cancel the sailing due to the UK’s quarantine requirements. Encore refused refunds for the theater tickets even though the cancellation was due to circumstances beyond our control. They ignored follow up correspondence. We are season ticket holders with Broadway Hollywood here in California and that group has graciously offered refunds for all COVID related cancellations. I don’t understand why the theaters in the West End work with this disreputable broker. I intend to follow up with the theaters directly.

They took my money (£185) in December 2019 and despite many unanswered emails, they've still got it. I contacted industry ombudsman STAR, who contacted Encore. They brazenly denied they'd received any communication from me. This is why they have automated email form on the website - if you were able to email them from your own account, you'd have proof of contact. Suspicious they're going to fold Encore, reappear as a 'new' business & dodge their liabilities! Avoid like the plague...

Booked tickets for Pretty Woman. Last year due to COVID it got cancelled. I got an email stating I'll get a voucher in 14 days. It is now almost a year later, after numerous emails to them, no one has contacted me or send me my voucher. Is this company for real?! Terrible service. And they have £280 of my money and no tickets. Never again once we go back to normal life.

Booked for Wicked in the West end for March 2020. Cost £225. Covid hit. Got a voucher for 110% which lasted 12 months. I immediately sought a cash refund. Got this reply:
"We would like to apologise profusely for the delay of your refund. Due to a technical issue with our payment system, your refund was processed by us on the 11th of April 2020, however we understand these funds haven't reached you. I can confirm that this issue has since been resolved and your refund with be automatically refunded by our payment provider and will reach you within 5 working days.
For reassurance, please see attached confirmation of your refund from our payment provider.
Please accept our apologies for this and thank you for your patience and we look forward to welcoming you back to the west end very soon"
It is now Feb 2021 and I still have no refund. DO NOT trust this Company. Book your tickets directly with the Theatre or Touring company when things open up again.

Probably one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. Would never recommend them, customer service team are awful! Take an age to come back to you and even though was unable to provide the show I had originally booked they were adamant that they were not in breach of Terms and Conditions. I would strongly advise using anyone else.

Had a show booked in May and obviously cancelled due to Corona.
Received a credit voucher after 4 months of waiting and have tried to rebook tickets for next year. I received an email to say they were booked and my tickets would be confirmed via email within 10 days. That was in September. I have still had no confirmation despite emailing 8 times now.

DO NOT BOOK WITH ENCORE
Show cancelled due to COVID19 which I fully understand. Offered vouchers, however got a good deal on our tickets and the voucher just wouldn't really pay for seats we wanted. On their website you can "get a voucher or a refund" so requested a refund.. That was 12th October and despite numerous requests for a refund (despite the claim on the website) I have had no response. I have now taken them to the small claims court to attempt to get my money they did not respond so I have now issued a CCJ (county court judgement) against the company so hopefully I might get my money back. I would recommend trying a small claim court process its £25 and all online (search gov.uk and make-court-claim-for-money) and perhaps if enough people do this we may get some money or get them closed down. BTW its worth noting that there seem to be 2 directors of the company both based in New York! so we will see what happens
4 months waiting, still no refund.
4 months ago I asked for a refund for a cancelled performance. They still haven't refunded me, refuse to acknowledge any complaints, and won't tell me how to refer my complaint to an ADR either.
I find it sickening that they are currently trying to sell tickets for new performances without first sorting out the absolute mess they have left existing buyers in.
I will definitely not be using Encore Tickets in future based on this experience.
Impossible to make contact..
I am finding it impossible to make contact with anyone at encore. They are not manning their phones 'due to the pandemic' a poor excuse - my daughter works in customer service and has worked by phone from home during the whole of lockdown. The only option is email - now on my 5th attempt and still no response. I have vouchers which run out in December and cannot even get to use them. You cannot book direct with theatres with these vouchers I would say AVOID THEM!
