Excellent customer service

Received vouchers for 110% of original booking value because of shows being cancelled at the beginning of the pandemic. These should have expired already, so emailed to enquire whether they could still be used - the deadline has been extended and I was given the option to extend it further. The email and a follow up enquiry I had were both answered within seven minutes - in the middle of a Sunday, when I wasn't expecting a response until at least the next day - and were extremely helpful. Easy to book new tickets, no complaints at all. Brilliant customer service.

Boo!! Get off the stage

Expect this organisation are really good at the point of purchase! Don't be fooled, we were gifted Encore Theatre Gift Vouchers and in our experience Encore's vouchers proved difficult to use and ticket prices seemed more expensive via their redemption route. Encore proved illusive, their phone lines inactive and they were very slow to respond to emails until we threatened to report them. Finally get a response from Encore that use of our vouchers was extended but then Encore renege and revert to their small print. WATCH OUT Encore vouchers are only valid for 12 months after which Encore pocket your money!

Still waiting..

I bought a Virgin Experience theatre trip for my friend in September 2019. It got cancelled because of the first COVID lockdown and I understand there was a lot of restrictions being imposed and then lifted but theatres could officially reopen as of May 2021. This ticket provider has been completely uncontactable the whole way along including not replying to emails/not having a phone line as we've all experienced and they still are not at minimum keeping customers up to date at all.

I have still not heard anything about my experience and it is sad to see many businesses that have not treated their customers this way and have had to close, whereas businesses like Encore clearly don't care now they have our money. They would have been better off giving us all refunds long long ago when they realised the pandemic restrictions were going to last.

Disaster, DO NOT USE

Had a £99 voucher due to cancelled shows during COVID19. The code doesn't work despite carefully following all their instructions about how to use it, where to enter it, how to update it etc. I have emailed them 3 times and absolutely no reply. Phone number only has a voicemail stating that they aren't answering the phone as working from home. I'm sure they won't respond to this review but just in case anyone else is considering booking with them- Please do not waste your money. I appear to be £99 out of pocket.

Disgusted

We bought tickets for Strictly Live in October 2020. Should be looking forward to tomorrow's show...except the tickets haven't been sent out. Very stressful as we can't get hold of anyone via online messaging, phone or email. They're happy to take my £230 though. Disgusted. Hoping the venue will be able to sort it out when we arrive 🙏. They don't even merit 1 star.

Trying to get a refund for tickets and…

Trying to get a refund for tickets and there's no way of contacting them other than Email. We had tickets to see Back to the Future at Christmas and traveled up to London. Unbeknown to us the show was canceled and we were never informed of this. Encore agreed to give us a refund on the 7th Jan but still waiting despite several Emails and promises from them. Now being ignored completely. Do not purchase from these people purchase from the theatres direct, who give you a refund instantly.

Appalling company with no thought for…

Appalling company with no thought for their customers. Trying to get a refund in tickets purchased in October 2019. Customer service is non existent, telephone number provided goes to an answer message spouting some rubbish about everyone working from home due to Covid (fine in the first few months of the pandemic, but a year later?!!). The recorded message tells you to email, which I have done multiple times, with the only response received an automated message. Do not buy from these charlatan’s.

No faith in there business, Absolutely Rubbish

I’m actually disgusted in the fact I didn’t read the reviews before hand, and just seen them after my encounters with Encore tickets, there communication is non existent, phone lines are closed, there’s no sense of security to believe in theme what so ever.

I’ve been sending emails upon emails and contacting other companies for help, until I contacted the theatre directly and some light was shed on my situation and was rectified but no help to Encore Tickets, nothing to clap about here must I add, My experience was appalling and stressful.

I have no problem with writing this review, in hope others with read this before hand and refrain from giving you business, because your just a load of rubbish.

Will not use this booking agency again

One of our party got Covid so emailed Encore 10 days before theatre visit and filled in standard form requesting an exchange of tickets. Received a non personal email the day before our visit saying they will get in touch soon and then nothing. Still waiting. Not impressed.

Made a booking in February 2020 for a show in June 2020. It was cancelled and was offered a credit at 110% of the booking valid for 18 months, I thought, sure like everyone we should be able to use that in 18 months. How wrong we were. My daughter had a July booking cancelled and now everything is getting cancelled. Tried contacting Encore and no reply. Crdit link does not work. What a surprise. Barclay-card no help! This is daylight robbery!!!!!!!!

Diabolical Services

Would not give this company any stars. Diabolical service. Booked theatre tickets 1 month in advance and they didn't arrive until the day of the performance, when it was too late to get into London. Any enquiry I made I was told if I kept phoning I would go to the back of the queue! charming. Don't touch them

Would never purposely choose to book with this company again.

Received a Virgin Experiences Voucher for Pre-theatre dinner and theatre for 2 and have been attempting to contact Encore Tickets since May 2021. Each time, I've received an automated email and have never received an actual response. They state "We want to let you know that we've got your query and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We answer queries in the order that they're received and we would advise that you refrain from reaching out again, as this will affect your place in the queue" however still cannot reach out after months of silence on my end. Really disappointed as this was a wedding gift and we have not been able to use it, even with the West End opening up in recent months. Have read previous reviews and unfortunately have not been provided with a credit voucher to place the three first letters of my surname before.

COVID Voucher explanation

I can see a lot of people with issues about COVID vouchers.
At first I had a similar experience and whilst the communication has been dire on Encore's part, they have not stolen your money.
The 6 or 7 digit credit reference you were given and told to phone about is now a voucher if you prepend the first 3 letters of your surname to it. This can be used at the checkout stage.
At first this didn't seem to work for me, but eventually it did. I probably made some typos. Try captilising your surname letters.
I would've given this solution 5 stars, but I deducted one for not actively communicating this to those with COVID vouchers, and I deducted another for not having an active phone line. It's 2021, "working from home" is not a valid excuse for not running your phone line.

I had to reschedule my theatre tickets…

I had to reschedule my theatre tickets at the last minute as a tested positive for covid-19. Encore responded promptly to my email and gave me a voucher to use for another booking. Having read the reviews on here I was worried it would be difficult but it went very smoothly.

The worst customer experience

I booked a Virgin experience for theatre and dinner and didn't realise the booking was managed by Encore Tickets. I tried to book in May 2021 but I received an automated email saying that the experience hadn't resumed yet and that I had to wait. In July, the production had resumed and I emailed Encore to get my production booked in but was greeted by an automated email that said when the production resumed I would be contacted (even though it had). For 4 months I kept emailing in and receiving the same automated email (no phone lines worked). Finally in October (baring in mind the production resumed in July), I received another automated email saying I could now book. I filled in the form and selected my preferred dates but again, didn't hear anything for a few weeks. I've finally received another automated email saying I'm booked in for next week (lucky I didn't have any plans!!), really need to improve their customer experience (7 months I've been waiting for this!!).
