Very disappointed with customer service…

Very disappointed with customer service from this company. We purchased tickets through SeatPlan, and it so happened that we purchased a show that was at the exact same time that the whole city of London was shut down for a parade to celebrate the Queen. We are from the US and had no idea that this parade would be happening. We left our hotel approximately one hour before the show started to make the ~1 mile trip to the theater. First, we learned that all modes of public transportation, including Uber, was shut down until the parade ended. So we tried walking to the theater, but we were not allowed to cross any of the streets near the Palace due to police barricade, and the theater is on the other side of the Palace from downtown London. We are from the US and had no idea about all of this happening. Once we learned we could not legally access the theater, we attempted to call them. We were placed on hold several times and, despite being told we were "number 1 in the queue," no one ever answered. Ultimately, we sent an email and did receive a reply telling us that because Encore had purchased the tickets and already spent the $, there was absolutely nothing they could do to help us - no replacement tickets, no discount on purchase of future tickets, zero accommodation. I didn't necessarily expect that they would completely make us whole, but I thought that they would at least try to do something to make this right for us since we spent $500 on a show that we weren't even able to access due to the entire city being shut down. Very poor approach to customer service.

This is an absolute SCAM

This is an absolute SCAM. DO NOT USE ENCORE TICKETS. They will take your money and not give you the tickets. Zero stars, hard earned money wasted, lots of stress, no customer service and an experience of a lifetime missed. SHAMEFUL.

Useless! Complete rip off - no tickets after nearly 18 months!

I would give Encore/Virgin experiences zero if that was possible...I received a Virgin experience voucher on the 26/5/21 and exchanged it [as per the email instructions] for a theatre lover's choice with dinner for 2 in London- requesting tickets for Wicked. I requested 1st choice date of 28/7/21 and 2nd choice date of 15/9/21. Hearing nothing I chased this up in December 2021 and received an email on the 9/12/21 from Encore that managed the gift experience I requested, they responded by claiming that the request had been received and that they would "been touch closer to the time to get you booked in."
They have NOT once contacted me and the voucher now has an imminent expiry date [26/5/22]
This really is appalling customer service and now there is NO way to even speak to anyone, as their Virgin Experience telephone service has been removed.
What a con.
Avoid like the plague and don't waste your time and money!!

Absolute amateurs - avoid at all costs

Absolute amateurs. Avoid at all costs and i plead you to use competitors when booking theatre tickets.

Customer services are useless and not refunded me monies I’m entitled to for cancellations.

No confirmation email

No confirmation email. Checked on other ticket booking sites and found the tickets I have purchased appear to be still on sale. The phone was answered by an automated message sayng that all operatives were working from home. The sum of £94 has been collected via my PayPal account so I have proof that I have paid but is that enough to get us in? I think I can remember the seat numbers but am not sure. I was checking on the seat plan site and automatially found I was "passed on" to Encore tickets. Why didn't I see the kosher website in time? Sent an email and got a response that they were inundated and were only dealing with near date performances.

Oh dear, I have just received an email from the saying that they can't locate my booking and would I send the reference number of the booking. How can I when I haven't received their confirmation?

SCAM SCAM SCAM

Really awful . Activity for wife’s 40th to go to Shakespeare globe and meal for two . Covid hit , couldn’t boom. Managed to get it extended . Went to book, sorry , not taking bookings for the globe yet . We went to London and sure enough , people were in and out of the globe . Managed to get voucher extended again , as we only have set times when wife is off work that we can go , schools etc . We go to book, site says to go to encore so we go to encore to book online , no experience for globe shows , so have online chat with encore , who doesn’t really know anything but someone will call me back in two days . Two days later no call. So I email activity superstore , and reply says sorry we don’t do that experience anymore , here’s another choice , and it was not what my wife wanted to do , so I send email in disgust saying this is Mis selling , they come back and say they have given us another option , if we not happy , then there is nothing they can do . So I have replied saying you can pay the money back as you can’t provide what I paid for . I am awaiting response , but can bet it will say no . Do not use this company . I will be contacting trading Standards and the globe to express how shocking and scamming this is .
I sent a complaint to encore about this and no return call, no one has responded .

The worst customer service you will…

The worst customer service you will ever experience, do yourself a favour - book through someone else. Virgin Experience Days use this lot for their theatre experience days. The numerous recent 1 star reviews show that this company should be ashamed of themselves.

Awful company

Awful company. No phone lines and the only contact via social media is rude and sarcastic. They owe me money and have no intention of giving it back. They email ‘voucher’ codes that have expired. When told this, their response was “oh dear”. Vile scammers.

Problem finally resolved

After many frustrating weeks and emails going back and forth, the problem of my unusable voucher was finally resolved. There was a 7digit voucher code which was always rejected at point of purchase. Was eventually told to put first 3 letters of surname in front of the numbers. Why couldn't they have said that earlier? Have now booked tickets for next week so am happy. Rachel, the customer service agent was always polite and helpful, but a lot of stress could have been avoided.

Absolutely shocking

Absolutely shocking, dismissive customer service. Paid for tickets which never arrived, they eventually blamed the theatre after several weeks of trying to get an answer. Received email answers to other peoples' queries. Standard response basically says if you "ask again, we will put you to the back of the queue"

Absolutely useless

Ordered 3 lots of tickets and never received any of them, no confirmation. Had to contact them to get 2 of the lots. Never received the other lot. They made the booking for the wrong day and we missed the show. Unavailable on the weekend, unavailable by phone, refused to help when we contacted them. Worst experience ever.

I wish I had read the reviews before…

I wish I had read the reviews before hand. I just purchased tickets for Shen Yun and never received any email confirmation or tickets.

Emailed to complain and they still looking into it. Not acceptable. They should be banned from selling tickets.

Never again! NEVER!!!

Booked in November to see Shen Sun at the Hammersmith Apollo on Saturday 26th. STILL WAITING FOR OUR TICKETS TODAY - 22ND FEB - AND WE HAVE TO FLY DOWN FROM INVERNESS. Very poor service. We will certainly never use this company again. NEVER!!

Not keeping customers safe

Terrible service. Are not helpful in terms of Safeguarding customers health. Tested positive with covid but they would not other an exchange. This encourages people to attend events even if they test positive. Need to review their policies.

Absolutely disgusting customer service

Absolutely disgusting customer service. I have been trying to rebook my theatre tickets since August and the voucher keeps saying invalid. I have emailed them around 20 times with no response or a standard message that bounces back. No telephone number. My tickets were originally purchased in December 2019!!! I will be contacting the theatre directly and I will never use this appalling company again.

ENCORE TICKET SCAM

THIS IS THE SECOND REVIEW.
I GOT MY TICKETS BUT WAS CHARGED THE FULL PRICE WITHOUT DEDUCTION OF MY £150 VOUCHER
I HAVE HAD NO JOY IN ANY RESPONSE AND AM NOW SURE THEY HAVE NO INTENTION OF REFUNDING MY VOUCHER FOR £150.
OBVIOUSLY A SCAM AND SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN
I AM NOW TAKING LEGAL ACTION.
