I’ve had a commercial EPC carried out & then a Fire Risk. It’s not often now a company responds quickly & does what they say they will without a fuss. Thank you!

Pointless company.
Waited months now for my assessment and no customer service to be heard of. Apart from a lovely phone call from Simon , the owner and manager. The best part is he’s calling from the customer service number that he has off the hook so he doesn’t have to deal with customer complaints. Anyway, he wasn’t happy that I had rightfully left him a bad review on Google reviews and then threatened to badly review my hotel in response . Very sad times indeed. Avoid this childish, poorly run business. Small claims court is my next step. I’m not wasting anymore time trying to contact them.

Simon carried out excellent work at a fair price for me 8 years ago, unfortunately I lost 2 of the certs he issued, I sent an email to him asking if he could help and within the hour I had copies in my inbox, I could not be happier and will certainly use then again when the time comes.

The guy tested all the things that needed a PAT test and all past the test. It was also quite quick.

Excellent service for a Fire Risk for my hotel. Knowledgeable, professional & very quick service. I will use again.

Very easy business to deal with, inspections were done quickly and efficiently.

Carried out a risk assessment and determined us as a high risk of fire, but didn't bother to ask us about any of the failures, of which a substantial amount actually had answers for and wouldn't have been fails... if they had simply asked.
Rated our building as a high risk of danger, but took over 5 weeks to tell us, come to your own conclusions on that!
From the date of the visit, we were contacted within one day asking for payment, then sent the invoice same day telling us report would not be released until payment had been made -very efficient... but then despite calling/emailing multiple times, they didn't send the report for over 5 weeks, citing emails issues, staff shortages, report types etc etc When we finally got the report and spoke to them about it, were rudely told to stop speaking over them, asked if we could visit their office to sit down &discuss the report, were then called an a******e
Would i advise anyone to use this Company NO

Asked them to come and do a second EPC, to note work done. And emailed and phoned, and phoned again. 'We're really busy at the moment, but someone will get back to you...' and never did.

Turned up at the arranged time, completed the EPC and emailed a link to the document within 24hrs. Excellent service!

Unfortunately, we have also had a negative experience with this company. On the 29th of April 2024 a member of Energy Cert Scotland attended our premises to carry out an assessment to produce an EPC. We paid up front £534.00. The payment was requested to be paid before the certificate would be released. Then we heard nothing back until 18/06/2024. The general telephone number gets you nowhere. Only that they will pass on a message. E-mails seem to disappear into the ether. With no response. We started the procedure to take them to the small claims court to recover our payment. We have now been produced the certificate. However, we would not recommend this company. Their communication is dire. From reading other reviews on here. We are not the worst-off customer experience.

Appalling customer service ! After paying £239.23 on the 30th May for work to be càrried out at my flat in Dundee i heard nothing from ECS until i phoned them over a week later, when i did eventually manage to get hold of someone i asked if they could give me a date for the work to be carried out ,i was told i would be contacted shortly with an answer which didnt happen.

I called again a few days later and made a complaint as to why i still hadnt been contacted and in return was sent an email saying the work to my flat had been cancelled as they could not carry out the work in the time frame i wanted therefore they would be cancelling the work and process a refund for the £239.23.

Firstly i would like to say i never set a date for the work to be carried out all i asked for was an explanation as to why no one from ECS had contacted me in over a week with a date for the work to be carried out .

i sent 3 further emails asking when my money would be refunded and it wasnt until the 26th June ECS contacted me and said the money was refunded through square but they also had a 30 day policy for refunds to be processed.
The email i was sent accused me of being abhorrent and rude to which i totally refute those claims , the only thing im guilty of is saying im glad they cancelled the work as quite honestly i didnt want them anywhere near my flat due to their poor customer service.

i cant believe the way i have been treated by this company whether you are short staffed or not it should be company policy to reply to your customers within a reasonable timescale after they have shelled out hundreds of pounds for work to be carrred out .

I would never use this company again avoid at all cost !

Update - i have still not received my money back from ECS i tried calling Square to see if i could get them to refund the money owed but they informed me they couldnt deal with me it had to be the company who has the account with them .
I have now started legal proceedings through the small claims court to recover the money owed from ECS.
Update- after contacting my bank i raised a dispute as i still had not received my £239 refund from ECS i finally had the money returned on the 19/7/24 nearly two months to the date since it was taken from my account thanks to my bank ...

Helpful receptionist and quick appointment, arrived on time.

Got the full landlord package booked in for 2 weeks after initial call.
Electrical assessment required 1 light changed which cost me £200 (overpriced).
Got my fire risk assessment 3 months later.
They didn't carry out my gas safety test, although that is advertised as part of the full package. Supposedly that wasn't added to the invoice.
I will never use these guys again.

I contacted this company to complete an EPC for a commercial property. I mentioned that I had an EPC for the property from 2012, and that it was a "G" rating, and needed to get it to an "E" rating. What they didn't tell me is that they already had done an EPC for the property in question in the last few months, and didn't disclose this information. The property had a D rating from a survey they carried out in April. They tricked me into ordering an EPC at £234 when it wasn't required. When questioned, they said:

"If we ran a milkshake bar and you came in twice to order a milkshake within 15 minutes, would you expect us to tell you that you had already been and had one earlier?"

A poor defence to attempt to deflect away their underhand tactics.

The person who came to the property spent 2 minutes looking round, and left. He spent more time talking about a pheasant coming through his windscreen than carrying out any sort of work.

I don't normally write reviews, but I was completely cheated by this company. Avoid at all costs...

Seamless arrangements throughout . Tradesman called 30 mins before arrival . And the price was good !

Great company, professional job and very attractive price. I can recommend it!

Excellent personal service from the team at ECS, advance call when personell were arriving to carry out work, always helpful with updates and advice, would recommend them to others without hesitation.

Ordered a full landlord package just before Christmas.

Really easy, great price and nice people.

4 professionals turned up to do the work within 2 hours of each other and had an email with the certificates 2 days later.
