Many delays in securing a slot for the short term lets package. After over a month of chasing, our floor plans went missing. A small refund offered that won't cover what we now need to go to another provider to get the floor plans alone.

The appointment slot was 8am to 1pm. It emerged the surveyor was travelling from Glasgow to Aberdeen that morning so it would have been helpful to know the time slot would realistically start much later. I had requested and was promised a call 45 minutes ahead of the surveyor’s arrival. No sign by 1.55pm so I called the office and was told the surveyor would arrive within 30 minutes which he did.

Turn around for certificate was reasonable.

They charge a little for EICR to get you a bigger quote for unnecessary remedial work they propose later. EICR failed incorrectly and Simon replied that because legislation becomes into force effect after 6 months, I must comply with it now 'anyway'. No mate, legislation has a transitional period for a reason. You cannot make someone to comply with a legislation which has not come to force yet. 18th edition Amendment 2 was also cited. The regulation also does not require RCD other than very exceptional situations , e.g. use of portable equipment outdoor.

Quick and easy to apply for any service online and discount given if multiple services booked. Very quick to offer mutually convenient appointment to carry out the tests, easy online payments and quick turnaround of detailed reports. A professional service and much better value than companies I have used in the past. Thank you for a brilliant service!

Rude snotty emails due to a miss understanding. Unwilling to accept fault in any way. Glad they didn’t do what I needed done. Wouldn’t bother with them costumer service isn’t good.

Energy Certificates Scotland is a top organisation. I was very happy with the service. Neil who is the founder of the company is a very good communicator, personable, knowledgeable and the ultimate professional. In the future ECS will be my organisation of choice. 8

I made the mistake of using this company based on the reviews, which I am now suspicious about.
I paid for Energy Cery Scotland to assess and issue my flat with an EICR. After the assessment I was told that my flat had failed the EICR and that it would cost £1500 + vat to replace the whole box. I looked over the report and it looked both incomplete and with gray areas that didn't look like 'fails'.
I queried this with a girl on the end of the phone and asked for a run down of the costs and an explanation for why I was getting charged for things that didn't need fixed. She said it was against company policy to itemise quotes. I was pretty shocked - really didn't have £2000.
Luckily I kept my head, didn't go through with it (because I was really suspicious at this point), got a pal to recommend a local electrician in Glasgow Southside and paid him to re-assess the flat. He came round - fixed and identified things that ECS had missed and completed the full EICR for £400 (inlcuiding the assessment).
Thing is these guys are really convincing and it makes my furious to think that they might be praying on people who really can't afford it.

I booked an EIRC report for my 1 bedroom flat and a PAT test on their website. The EIRC report quote is based of the size of property you've selected on the website. When the electrician visited my property he told me that the price will be more than double what was quoted as my property had multiple fuse boxes and told me that there was an option on the website to select the amountbof fuse boxes. I've double checked the website and t there is no option to select the amount of fuse boxes. I refuse ld the service is i didn't want to pay double what I was quoted. I'm now been chased a call out fee.

Half the price of other companies I looked at, multiple calls from the office to agree, confirm and check dates and times.

Guy that done my EPC survey was very nice and friendly.

The chap that came was very polite and informed me as to what he was going to be doing within the house. Great electrical inspection and minor works required.  Professional service.

Both guys where on time friendly helpful and company reasonably priced. Job done yesterday and certificates issued today.

From the office staff to the contractors there has been no problem with arranging dates and times (even though it had to be done through my tennant) for work.
Remedial works and certificates all promptly completed. Am using this company next year. Would recommend.
