thought it was to good to be true
thought it was to good to be true, how wrong i was we have had solar panels, loft insulation & an air source heating system fitted at no cost to me. kate was brilliant as were the company that fitted the whole lot (Broadoak from stoke on trent). special mention to james the heating engineer who fitted the heating with no help, no mean feat. we have a warm house now instead of just a couple of rooms. once again thanks a lot.

Excellent efficient service
After completing my details online, I was quickly contacted by Kate, who arranged for a local company to contact me. They called and booked me in for a survey, and then the work was carried out. The whole process only took a matter of weeks! Definitely recommend!

Great and fast service
They were contacted by myself.
They asked a few questions and put the installer in contact eith me.
After speaking with the installer, we made an agreed survey date.
We found that we were only able to get a grant for the loft insulation and not the wall cavity because we live in a wooden house snd as such the cavity is not large enough.
The boiler, well our boiler is a triple A rated and was installed just over five years ago.
Solar panels arr not a option on a mains gas supply house.
As for as the install date, it went great!.
We were lucky enough to have three young lads come out and in no time they were done.
Full loft insulation, a vent fan installed in kitchen, we don't have a vented exhaust and window vents, all done in a matter of a few hours.
Overall it was a great experience.

Kate was very helpful she put us in touch with EcoGiant who did the installation, everything was so well organised they discussed everything with us before doing the work. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Friendly and efficient service
I filled in their enquiry form and was impressed to receive a referral to a fitter the next morning. The team were friendly and checked in regularly to make sure all was going ok with accessing funding and fitting. All in all, Energy Saving Genie made it much easier to access valuable energy efficiency measures.

Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless. Made an initial enquiry about solar panels and all I got were emails/texts about replacing my boiler.
I suspect one of the new companies jumping on the renewables bandwagon, hence no Trust Pilot reviews, which is always a red flag. Don't waste your time.

Hi Simon,
Just to clarify, we don’t set the grant rules. Eligibility is generally set by the Government and most schemes are administered by Ofgem. Our checker simply identifies what funding a home may qualify for based on those rules.
In your case your home didn’t appear to qualify for solar under the current eligibility criteria, but a boiler upgrade grant potentially did, which is why that information was provided.
For information, the Government’s new Warm Homes Plan is expected next year and is likely to include support for solar, so hopefully that will provide options for your home. Details are available here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/warm-homes-plan
