Fraudulent and Uncontactable

This is a company from the pit of hell. This company managed to get hold of my details from Havering Council feigning ignorance. The truth is I owe the Havering council no money on the PCN for which they obtained default judgment because I moved home.

The OneSource started emailing me and I contacted them via email because I could not get to them through phone. This quieted down for a couple of days.

A few weeks later the emails and texts started coming through again. I made a contact with the court and it was confirmed that there was a default judgment against me, so a TE9 and TE7 was completed to file Out Time application and the court denied this application but gave me an opportunity to appeal their decision because no reason was provided for refusing the application.

I began the appeal process but the email and texts began to come through on daily basis,

What is worrying is that I paid before parking to RingGo parking solutions but I don’t think that this money got to the council and OneSource are not ready to read between the lines.

That said I will not pay any money that I did not owe to Havering Council, to OneSource or to RingGo.

In a nutshell, OneSource should stop meddling with local authorities that already has contracts with other parking or debt recovery companies because they will end up paying to local authorities for a share to collect “unpaid” debts in vain without any return to their investments.

A lot of individuals are wising up and it makes it difficult to coerce or manipulate people into making payments that they don’t owe.

Nasty company

The most unhelpful and rude company I've dealt with ever. Been inundated with threats of attending my home after I've tried to arrange a payment plan for a debt I've just about. I've been harassed daily with threats. Absolutely disgusting. I'm fuming and frustrated.

Suddenly received a SMS few days ago about an outstanding balance and they call me today about it. I chatted via online chat with agent and explain I did not even know why am I got charged. He just insist that my information did not match from the system and ask me to provide proof and send email to them. Well... if you cannot even explain the reason why you charge me, how come I will provide my information to you? Such a scam. And he keep on saying, "Can you rephrase that I did not understand". Just sue me then.

I’ll start by saying that I’m not…

I’ll start by saying that I’m not particularly happy that Waltham Forest outsourced my debt before even giving me an opportunity to pay it, but that’s not the fault of Onesource. I came trying to verify if they are legitimate rather than read about people who don’t want to pay their debts but due to the other reviews I decided to do further digging myself.

Onesource appear to have been a private company previously, and are now in house with Newham Council. Waltham Forest also outsource debt to Newham.

Waltham Forest list onesource on their website, with the correct phone number. If you are speaking to anyone other than the number listed on Waltham Forest website then it could be a scam.

I will also say that it seems that they have kept some of the private debt collection tactics with pushy staff, but they still have a job to do and I imagine that it is something of a requirement.

What I was unable to clarify, is whether Waltham Forest now consider this debt paid as they’ve sold it on, and if I ignore the private company that there’s nothing they can do, I haven’t signed any credit agreement with them so perhaps, but it didn’t really seem worth testing it as I do owe someone the money.

Shady

So one soruce collected an outstanding debt I owed the council on the 05/12/24 and I was told I would get an email confirming this the very next day as it takes a few hours for the payment to get updated on the system. Anyway it's 6th Feb 25 today our man sends me a POS receipt of the payment done after multiple repeated attempts to contact them. Clearly they don't want to confirm the amount that was used to settle my debt.
So what the council does is gets a shady company like One source to overcharge the people liable to pay council tax by selling their household goods by underselling the debt to these collectors. But the council wouldn't offer the same discounted price to the actual people to pay this.
For instance if you owe £500 council tax, local council will sell this to One source for £300-£400 and then Once source will charge you £800 to £1000 to be paid or threaten to sell your household goods, you must pay what one source quotes you but our beloved governing council body will never allow you the choice in first place.

I received a parking fine from Newham council 3 years ago. I appealed as I had sold my car a few weeks previously.

I have provided a letter from DVLA stating that I was not the registered keeper of said vehicle since 25 jan 2022 and also shown insurance amendments but they are still not happy with this. I’m being threatened with enforcement officers and more and more charges

I find them quite intimidating and they constantly harass you, multiple calls and messages per day. They won’t even discuss my case with me now.

I told them to take me to court and they told me I would have to get myself a solicitor which would mean I would be liable for all costs.

I AM NOT PAYING ANY MONEY. It was not my fine

Absolute disgrace of a firm and should be ashamed of themselves

Shout out to Jamie

I usually dread calling this company because I'm often met with incredibly rude and dismissive representatives. However, the other day I spoke with a kind young man named Jamie, and his pleasant demeanor was a refreshing change. I felt compelled to express my appreciation for his kindness and the positive experience it created.
While I generally dislike contacting this company, this particular interaction left me feeling quite positive.

My wife is STILL being chased for a bad debt! Maybe 12 calls so far, with a confusing phone no being stated (what is the phone no) and still quoting the name (male) of someone completely unknown to us. All calls now coming direct though an ansaphone message so unable to ascertain the origin of the original call.
It stinks of being a scam.

I’ve paid to havering council £280. An insane amount.. and they are still after me… so happy to go to court. When I try to ring them … I’m 45th in the queue.. and think the queue only goes down when people get fed up and hang up.

Criminally inefficient (not that they care)

It is simply impossible to get through to this useless firm.
They don't answer the phone, your e-mails and their website is hopeless.
A cynic might say they are deliberately making the process of payment as difficult as possible so more fees can be added.

very inept and not helpful at all

I got a text in june saying i need to contact them about a debt??? Straight away thats pathetic behaviour. most people would delete the text thinking it is a scam and then would incur further charges. They could include details about the debt but they did not. i Have no idea how they got my phone number. Luckily i went online and got the details because they dont answer their phones. It was a pcn from november last year. I never got it as i had moved house. So it was now £205 plus a £75 charge from one source. I said i would appeal the PCN this required 2 seperate forms that needed to be counter signed by a court seriously? They said if i appealed it would take a while and they would add charges. eventually I asked to pay in installments and they said i needed to pay £100 a month which is a disgusting amount. Luckily i managed to borrow the full amount and pay them but for someone in seriously finical situations £100 a month would be impossible it should be £25 or similar what do they care they get their blood anyway. vile pathetic scumbags. They never answer the phone unless you select want to make a payment then they answer fast

Outstanding incompetence

Well, the following is a whole new level of petty. I am in complete shock and astounded at the actions of OneSource enforcement: I received the following text yesterday backed up with 10 automated dialer calls:
"An enforcement agent will be instructed to attend. Please contact us urgently on 0203 373 3588 quoting reference 801****** to settle your outstanding balance of £0.01. Onesource debt resolution services.

You have not heard the last of this. What a complete waste of resource. I intend to publish this as far and as wide as I am able. I intend to report you to your regulatory bodies and anyone else who will listen. I will not stop until your company is shamed for its reprehensible behaviour.
