Danielle Customer Services

Spoke to a lady named Danielle on the telephone. She was terribly polite and endeavoured to solve all my queries. Going above and beyond what was required. She even wished me a happy birthday for tomorrow!

Abysmal

Only use Eon if you don't care how much you pay for your energy and never want to speak to anyone. Sat in a queue several times and lost the will to live, gave up every time. Email is pot luck whether you get a response too.

Don't trust the 'hassle free switch to EON'!!

Decided to switch to EON from Scotish Power. A hassle free switch was advertised. All I had to do was submit my meter readings for both Gas & Electric which I did. It was easy enough to do and was all smoothly done without speaking to anyone using website and app.
Electricity was switched hassle free as promised - no problems.
Gas got switched but EON never shared the meter reading with Scottish Power who kept sending me incorrect estimated bills. The two companies didn't communicate. Today in the attempt to sort out my incorrect bill, in between the two companies I spent two hours thirty minutes holding the telephone line waiting to speak to someone. The customer advisor at EON suggested that I take a meter reading and call back to record that and then after 7 days take another meter reading and call them again so they can make a real estimate what my meter reading should have been when they took over from Scottish Power. My calculation suggested that this was another painful 3 hours in total on the phone for a bill of £246 and I had already gone through a lot so I took the easy route to pay the wrong bill to Scottish Power.

They've always been great, I don't see any trouble from my side!

Honestly if one thinks that British Gas is the best I don't know what planet most of you live!
They always are pretty accomodating with their tariffs and are pretty good at aknowledging what seems to bother me price-wise you know!
The app is alright not fantastic and that's the reason for the 4 stars, otherwise you tick all the other boxes!

Nothing but trouble

Nothing but trouble. Bills just went up and up and up even when my husband and I left the house for weeks and switched the electricity off. The call centre staff are mostly well trained and polite - that's the only nice thing I have to say

Poor

Poor, very poor. Coming up 50 minutes to get an answer, to speak to someone. How are they still in business? How can they have an operating licence?

arranged for a survey

arranged for a survey, for them not to turn up, booked a day off for this to occur. called up today to make sure they are coming and am being told that the team that would have called me are not in the office due to the weather conditions.

post that the call centre agent started getting defensive when i said that pretty "rubbish" customer service when no-one has contacted me to let me know. I said it wasn't her fault but still got attitude. bad start considering i just signed up for an account.

Disgraceful!

Disgraceful!

I moved house into a property supplied by eon, the meter wasn't working properly so called to register the fault. The first available appointment was a month hence, the date came around and I waited in all day......no engineer showed.

Trying to get through to customer services on the phone was impossible, Live chat was evasive and unhelpful. I finally got a number for the appointments team, whose response was 'we'll make another appointment......in a months time'!

The complaints process just refers you to customer services, those people who you can't contact by phone and are unhelpful on Live Chat. I finally went through on Twitter, where the only shining light was Molly.....she sat on her phone for over 20 minutes trying to get though to her own companies customer service dept and then put me on a conference call with Suleman.

Eon's (Sulemans) response, we'll give you £30 credit for the inconvenience.....£30 really! A day's worth of my annual leave is worth a lot more than £30....that aside I was told I'd get a call back the following day with some answers and sort it out. The answers were 'we have no answers' and the sorting out consists of 'we'll make another appointment for you in a months time and we've credited your account with £30'.

As of now no £30 is showing in my account and it will have taken over 70 days to get this appointment, assuming the engineer shows up next time which even eon wont guarantee! Of course the attitude of 'well it's not urgent is it' doesn't exactly help either!

So another day's holiday I have to use......

Customer service for issues needs impro

I moved from eon as I found a better rate (2 weeks later the rate reduced) but the reason for my review is that h@ving moved I am being billed for an estimated reading that is not the starting reading of my new supplier. I spoke to Liam code LI7858 who advised me but at the end of the call was ‘overly assertive’ that he could not stop the collection process for the money I didn’t know. Anyone looking at the readings could see that us8ng 127 units of electric in 1 day was unlikely. More empathy training please for customer service please

Useless. Do not go with Eon...

I have had minimal dealings as they were in my property when I moved and I changed within the month. So far customer service has been useless. Agents talking over me and being generally disinterested and unhelpful. A 'slow system' meant waiting for 3 minutes to get the dates of a bill we were CURRENTLY looking at.

I am so glad I didn't stay with Eon.

I got a decent 1 year price and not had any problems.

I have a couple of months left to go on my 1 year fix contract for electricity. Having moved to EON from IRESSA (who are the worst business I have EVER dealt with), everything has been fine. I can input meter reading whenever I want. I get a statement every 3 months and my payments went from £26 to £11 each month. I asked them put them up to £20 and a couple of months later the review is saying £11 again. I have asked them to make it £13 instead. I just want to leave them with no debt balance. Never called them but used live chat once and enquiry was dealt with. So, really I have nothing bad to say about EON. If the price you are quoted from them suits, then my experience says, sign up and you should have no probs.

Hard credit check

I've been with Eon a year, paid on time by direct debit every month and nearly £150 in credit. My fixed tarif ends next month and they have performed a hard credit check on me without prior warning or consent.

Appalling customer service,will be …

Appalling customer service, will be happy to let you pay for the most expensive tariff without notifying you there is a cheaper option, the final straw was the sending of text messages saying “YOU OWE US FOR THE ENERGY YOU HAVE USED” when it was an estimated bill and I hadn’t even used it. Goodbye eon never again!!!!
