I just received an email from EOS stating my account has been cancelled! My insurance is active so there is no legal excuse for this cancellation I am forwarding their email to my insurance provider’s legal department immediately! I honestly feel this company needs to go under! They are constantly violating members rights!

BUYER BEWARE

BUYER BEWARE! EOS FITNESS Is like any corporate Gym. All about deceptive practises, small print, hard to read. Verbably telling you one thing, while in the conract your agreeing to something else. They need a 30 Day Cancelation Notice. on everthing. Just to suck you dry. I signed my Grandson up to help him out, little did I realise I't was also on a 30 day cancelation.
MY FEELINGS, IF COMPANY WAS WORTH IS'T SALT, THEY WOULD NOT REQUIRE 30 DAYS TO CANCEL. THEY WOULD WANT TO TREAT YOU RIGHT, SO MAYBE YOU WOULD WANT TO RETURN, WHEN YOUR FINACES GOT BETTER. EOS KNOWS YOU WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN, DUE TO THE WAY THEY ROBBED YOU

EoS Fitness shady treatment of seniors

With the new year on us I went to have my silver sneakers account updated. A guy named Jacob was doing the switch of my insurance. He asked if I wanted to try a trainer so I asked him how much this will cost me. He stated $280, I thought this was the only charge. What he failed to tell me is that $280 was every other week for 4 months. When I confronted him he stated that he told me. If he had I would never have signed up. Upon taking $1120 I confronted him and he lied to his manager that he had told me which was a lie. This fitness company is deceptive and does not care how you are treated. I’m 73 and live on a fixed social security pay. No way would I have afforded this ridiculous charge. Total amount would be $2240. Such a shame to be treated unfairly like this.

Cancellation and misleading tactics regarding subscription at Casa Grande store

When I signed up I explained my house was up for sale for a move to Texas for almost a year and I did not want to pay an annual fee if I moved sooner rather than later. The EOS employee told me the annual fee was waived for the first year so I was only paying the monthly dues.

Fast forward 2 months and I canceled my membership due to pending sale of my house on 3/31/26 as the EOS Fitness in New Braunfels, TX is far from being completed but still opening this year. Next day (4/1/26) my son, wife, and I get billed the $71.24 each for the annual membership (which according to their contract will get billed on the anniversary date of joining the club.

After a few phone calls I’m able to speak with the manager who says sorry the employee didn’t explain it right, I will speak with him but they said they were keeping the annual membership but would refund our $9.99 dues.

When asked her if she felt this was the right thing to do she responded that they need the annual fee to provide a nice club and great services to the members.

I also asked if I could find out what occurred in her speaking with the employee to see if he really was confused or intentionally led us astray and she said NO, it’s a personnel matter. Think I should know, I was not asking what discipline is issued.

Needless to say, never going back to EOS. Planet Fitness was much easier to deal with on membership issues, even though they lack free weights.

Fair Prices & Decent Gyms!

Fair prices, decent equipment and overall a great company. The gyms do get very busy however that's not too bad considering the price is so cheap.

Unsanitary, more hair swimming in pool than people.

Showers are the worse, they are never cleaned, disinfected in any way. The pool deck and the surrounding tiles around the pool are very moldy and it gets worse as time goes by. There is green and black mold. There is more hair swimming in the pool than there is people. I'm afraid one of these days I'm going to take a gulp of hair. The pool guy blames the facility for sweeping or washing the pool deck into the pool but I have not seen this. Fact I haven't seen anyone properly clean the pool deck. Maintenance lady sweeps around the hot tub and that's about it then she mops the rest of the area and just moves around a wet mop on top of dirt debris and hair. Not sure why they pay this maintenance company. There was an altercation in the pool today between a gentleman that did not want another man to get into the hot tub or pool wearing his underwear. There was almost physical contact between the two and at this point I was fearful for my safety. Pool does not enforce their rules to wear swim attire.

10$ gym offer

Free 7 days - 10$ gym monthly - upsell to "quit any time coaching" 92$ monthly - attempt to cancel private coaching - told 4 month minimum commitment!!!
I signed up for a membership at EOS based on clear verbal assurances from your employee that the personal coaching service could be canceled at any time. That representation directly influenced my decision to agree to the additional $92/month charge.

I have since been informed that I am locked into a four-month commitment—something that was never disclosed to me at the time of signing. This is a direct contradiction of what I was told and constitutes a misrepresentation of the terms.

I have not used a single coaching session, and I would not have agreed to this service had the actual terms been clearly explained. What was presented to me was misleading, and I do not accept being held to an agreement under false pretenses.

I am requesting immediate cancellation of the coaching service and removal of any related charges. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I am prepared to escalate this through formal complaints with California Consumer Affairs and pursue a dispute with my bank based on deceptive sales practices.

I would prefer to resolve this directly and professionally, but I am fully prepared to take further action if necessary.

They will not explain their several fees and rules, and steal your money. The equipment is constantly not working and the paper towel dispensers are often empty.

Violates contracts & blames you!

Joined this gym in September, 2025. Signed up for a personal trainer (PT for the rest of this moving forward) on 09/25/25. Was VERY clear before signing anything under the gaze of the high-pressure salesman that I would only sign up on the condition that they would train both myself and my partner under a single contract, for a single fee, understanding that that would only get us half of the normal time each.

It takes them nearly 4 weeks to find a trainer willing to accept those terms. I have been billed twice in that time for 4 sessions we have not received.

Finally get a trainer on 10/22/25. We have gone through 2 trainers and no sessions, because the only way to get a trainer on the terms agreed to is to lie to them about the terms apparently? Mind you, we were happy to just get our money back and call it good at any point up to this. But they finally find someone willing to train two people for the price of one. We like this guy, cool dude, everything goes on as normal for 7 sessions.

12/04/25, we get pulled aside after session 7, mind you that at this point we have been billed for 8 sessions already. My wife and I have been trained in tandem all this time without any issue. Suddenly, it's "not safe" and they need her to sign up for her own contract for "safety." I say there's no way we can afford to do double contracts, the whole reason we were only willing to do a 2f1 in the first place. Suddenly, safety doesn't matter to them, because "for only an extra $60 per payment we can" blahblahblah. It was never about safety like they pretended, just pure greed. Minion keeps stepping away to "try" to greenlight anything with his District Manager (DM for the remainder of this) and we flat out tell them "these were the terms your people agreed to, your change of management in this location means nothing to us, the only options are to let us finish out the contract, or cancel our contract immediately as of 11/07/25 so that we no longer get billed for a service you refuse to provide." Minion says that's not a call he can make, gives us DM's email. We contact the DM that night, she ignored it for a while, we contacted her again with an ultimatum, and ultimately after several weeks of being ghosted, contacted EOS Corporate and ABC Fitness, who is in charge of their contracts, to let them know that we have taken being ignored as tacit agreement on the part of the DM for that location to cancel our contract retroactively to 11/07/25, and that any and all fees or charges they still want to take from us may be directed to the DM at her, and the companies', expense.

They continue to harass us via text, email, and phone for a few days, and I make very clear over the phone that if they continue, I will blast them publicly, report them to the BBB, contact lawyers, and come after them for violating the contract, intimidation, and harassment, and anything else I can get to stick, if they don't leave us alone or if they try to send the invalidated contracts balance into collections.

Months of blissful silence ensue, it's glorious, I (mistakenly) think it's truly over.

03/18/26, a new phone call to my partner from ABC Fitness, on behalf of EOS, looking to collect on fees she allegedly owes.

Eos is actually terrifying

Eos is actually terrifying. Aside from the gyms being overcrowded and badly maintained, I went in to have my membership downgraded. They gave me a hard time and were kind of rude, but agreed. Then the next month, charged me the wrong amount. Went back in and once again asked for the downgrade. Asked to talk to a manager to make sure it happened. Manager refused to come talk to me because she doesn't "deal" with downgrades. Kid at the desk assured me he did it. Next month guess what? No downgrade. I've now put in to cancel my membership entirely. This place is scary shady and I will never do business with them again.

**WARNING about billing at EOS Fitness

**WARNING about billing and cancellation practices at EōS Fitness.**

I rarely write reviews like this, but this experience has been so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others.

When I attempted to cancel my membership, I discovered something shocking: **you apparently cannot cancel without first paying a renewal fee that hasn’t even come due yet.** In other words, even if you are trying to cancel *before* the renewal date, they still require you to pay the renewal fee just to process the cancellation. That alone felt extremely unfair and misleading.

Because I could not get this resolved through normal channels, I **went into the gym in person** and spoke directly with the General Manager, Chris Marriotti. I explained the billing situation and my inability to cancel the membership.

After hearing the situation, **he personally told me that both my wife’s membership and my membership were canceled and that everything was taken care of.**

Unfortunately, that assurance appears to have meant nothing.

Despite being told in person by the general manager that everything was resolved:

• The memberships still appear **not to be canceled**
• The account is still being billed
• **Late fees are now being added**

So after doing exactly what they told me to do—going in person and speaking with management—I am still dealing with charges and a membership that was supposedly already canceled.

At this point the issue isn’t just the billing policy. It’s the fact that **even when management promises the problem is fixed, the billing continues anyway.**

That is extremely concerning.

If you are considering joining this gym, please **read the contract very carefully and understand exactly how cancellation works before signing anything.** What seems like a simple membership can become very difficult to get out of.

This has easily been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had with any business.

EOS exceeds bad management

EOS has exceeded the bad management practices that Gold's Gym had. The front desk employees are rude and demonstrate a total lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Broken equipment that remains broken for prolonged periods is commonplace. The gym and locker rooms are dirty. We have had no hot water in the showers for days without explanation. They do not enforce rules to protect clientele such as no selfies in the locker rooms. On a more disgusting note, there is a member who has a habit of hawking phlegm and spitting on the floor by the pool. She also hawks in the ladies locker room water fountain. Many people have complained. Today Jaxsen, a front desk employee copped an attitude when I reported this member's disgusting behavior which is a health hazard. If she had TB or COVID, the entire gym could become infected. Jaxsen rudely asserted that " there's no wording in the contract that addresses spitting. I've done it myself. So you can be mad all you want, but we're not going to address it." I think that comment says it all. Nothing changes, it only gets worse. If you need a gym membership, you might want to consider elsewhere.

Lack of customer service

I am so disappointed with the lack of accountability and customer service. I have contacted your team multiple times regarding incorrect charges, and every single time I was ignored. No response, no resolution, nothing yet you continue to withdraw money from my bank account.

This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Charging a customer while refusing to respond to their concerns shows a serious lack of integrity and respect.

I expect a manager to review this immediately, stop the incorrect charges, and contact me to resolve this situation. If this is not handled promptly, I will escalate the issue further through my bank and appropriate consumer protection channels.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious until this company improves its customer service and billing practices.

The worst of the worst

The worst of the worst. Dirty, smelly, disgusting. Always a wait for machines. But try to quit. They make it a nightmare. you haveto go in person to get your member #, then they forced me to create a new account just to cancel. Wtf. They made it so awful that I became so annoyed and defensive hoping the brain donor at the desk would just get fed up. He did. I win. So happy to be done and not be scared of catching an unnamed parasite. Gross.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Unresponsive Management

I had a very frustrating experience at this gym after signing up for personal training sessions. Despite my credit card being automatically charged for the sessions, the gym's internal system still shows my payments as unpaid.

I reached out multiple times via email to both the regional manager and the personal trainer manager regarding this issue, but unfortunately, they have completely ignored my communications. This lack of response is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on their customer service.

Because of this unresolved issue, I feel compelled to escalate it further. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, the state attorney general, and possibly even filing a lawsuit. I cannot recommend this gym due to their extremely poor communication and lack of accountability. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere!

EOS Fitness Hwy 6 and West Rd Houston, TX

I have been a member of EōS Fitness at the HWY 6 & West Road location in Houston since the day it opened in 2025. I was genuinely excited about this gym and canceled memberships elsewhere to commit here. Unfortunately, my experience in January 2026 has been deeply frustrating and honestly humiliating.

I had an encounter with an employee named Emily who was extremely rude, aggressive, and treated me in a way that felt racially biased and completely unprofessional. I was denied access to the gym because my payment had been due two days prior. I calmly explained that I had already made the payment online that same morning before arriving. Despite this, she demanded that I personally prove the payment to her or leave the building. This was embarrassing and unnecessary, especially considering the payment was less than 48 hours late and already resolved.

When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told the manager was “there” but unavailable because they were working out. That alone was shocking. I then had to contact a general manager from a different EōS location, who confirmed that the way I was handled was wrong and assured me my concerns would be escalated to the location manager and district manager. I never heard from either of them—not once.

Instead, on February 12, 2026, I received a threatening email from EōS Risk & Asset Protection in Carlsbad, CA accusing me of behavior “averse to the interest and well-being of EōS Fitness” and issuing me a Formal Warning, with no prior investigation, no phone call, and no opportunity to be heard. After everything I went through, this felt insulting and completely out of line.

This entire situation has been extremely frustrating and humbling. I waited months for this location to open, supported the brand, and followed their policies—only to be treated like a problem instead of a paying member. The lack of accountability, communication, and basic respect is unacceptable. This experience has shown me that this is the type of behavior EōS allows and protects, and that is deeply disappointing.

I expected better.

(The GM in charge of this location is named Leyliana Greer)
