Apparently a new worker signed me up and didn’t know what he was talking about. He gave me false information about the cancellation fees. I called the Willow Creek location and the guy said it’s happe... See more

This GYM is overpriced plus Cancellation FEES!!
This chandler VASA Gym is now,NOT worth the money.
1. They are showing their true colors by being a money greedy corporate gym. MORE than 70% the gym is now premium / studio requiring upgrade to STUDIO memebership. Meaning u must pay $44min monthly to use those.( BTW,$44 monthly price is out of reach for most people, for a gym membership anyway.)
2. Fitness Level Membership although semi affordable at $25,does NOT give you much for that price in terms of amenities..For example: organized classes such as Yoga , free weight lifting etc, are now being switched over to STUDIO MEMBERSHIP exclusively..for $44.
3. No more cinema cardio/treadmill room. This was a unique plus to this facility. I used it exclusively. Now RIPPED OUT and GONE!
4.. Less space, all the weight machines are jammed in together as gym is more crowded ...I go and use a weight machine and feel like I'm bumping into the next person next to me.. Reason : Chandler Vasa inherited 1000 extra members in November, because the LA Fitness, a mile away closed down!!!!,- So VASA made out like a gold mine taking in those exta members and their cash.
5.Regular VASA members from Pre- November 2025, NOW feel the over-crowding. As there is now a waiting line to even use a massage chair after a work out. Whereas before this influx of new members in Nov., this was NEVER an issue for the massage room.
6. Value is not worth the price anymore,, Vasa charges $25 for FITNESS MEMBERSHIP.. And the price of STUDIO is outrageous at $44 per MONTH..!!!!
7.Here's another MONEY HUNGRY GREEDY policy of Vasa... If you Book a studio class and have to cancel AT LAST..MINUTE,(less than 12 hour window), you will PAY a $3 penalty fee for cancellation /Per class!!!!!
8. Corporate greed is getting out of hand. whats NEXT ?
Requiring STUDIO membership to use :
The pool ?
ALL treadmills?
ALL barbell/ free weights?
ALL senior fitness classes?
The massage chairs?
The basketball court?
The racquetball court?
ANY other organized class such as:
DANCE
SILVERSNEAKERS
SENIOR FIT?
I can see in the FUTURE STUDIO membership required to attend
SENIOR FIT/SILVERSNEAKERS classes
8. If your going to require STUDIO membership to use ALL amenities then you should make the price affordable for ALL income levels..
A flat fee of $21.99 For all STUDIO MEMBERSHIPS ..This way EVERYONE can partake of ALL amenities, regardless of income levels.
I used to be a fan of Vasa ,, but this has gone too far. Vasa used to be unique but now it's actually MORE expensive than EoS or La Fitness. Sad but true. ESPECIALLY with the greedy cancellation Fees and the $10 NO SHOW FEES ON ALL STUDIO CLASSES!!..Ridiculous!!!
Corporate GREED STRIKES AGAIN!!!!
Coercive and Unfair Business Practices, Lack of Transparency, Dozens of Hidden Costs and Fees
I began my membership at Vasa with a basic plan locked at $10/month, specifically paying a $60 annual rate guarantee fee to ensure my pricing would remain fixed. After several months of consistent attendance, a sales representative approached me with a "Studio" trial, explicitly promising that the membership would automatically revert to my original $10 rate once the trial period concluded.
However, the promised reversion never occurred. Upon reviewing my portal, I discovered Vasa had been billing me $45/month for multiple cycles without authorization or notification. When I contacted support to rectify this, they refused to honor my guaranteed rate or provide a refund for the unauthorized charges. Ultimately, they charged me an additional $71 just to cancel my membership. Having spent hundreds of dollars on memberships and training, I am appalled by this lack of transparency. Vasa utilizes a weak UI and coercive practices that should be considered illegal. I'm angry and disappointed; this service, lack of transparency, and general practices are disgusting.
VASA Customer service is horrible a…
VASA Customer service is horrible a woman hang up on me. Just now another person hang up on me just asking her if I CAN ask her a question. Terrible company. I signed up at the gym almost a month ago and who ever helped me didn't telling all the hiding fees if I canceled. So last week I canceled my membership because I was experiencing neck pain having had two mayor surgeries and someone who works there in Herriman Utah gym told me she will cancel for me and not to worry about paying the $25 cancelation fee, she will waiver that. So I called today and nothing has been done plus they told me that I need to pay $110 plus $25. Im so frustrated with all the scams this company is doing. Why we can't have honest companies. Plus I wanted to pay cash for goggles to use in the Red Therapy room and they told dont worry everything is taking off, so I thank them thinking that it was free, but not. She charge it to my account. Why they are so deceiving?
Crooked Gym
My wife requested a new debit card and the expiration date changed. When it came time for the automatic payment, it declined due to the expiration date, Neither the club or the customer service agent was willing to reverse the fee of $25. To make matters worse, they added a month's fee to cancel. I have mine paid by Medicare and they want $25 to cancel. These are the most crooked people in the gym business. Never again will we or anyone we know do business with them.
This place is an absolute piece of trash.
This place is an absolute piece of trash. There is no flexibility with anyone on any team they employ, apparently. There are hidden fees everywhere, they still bill you for a month after you've cancelled (???) and the facilities themselves are very poorly maintained and extremely crowded.
Deliberately predatory practices
Deliberately predatory practices. Illegally charged a card not associated with the account.
Cancellation handled through third party.
Honestly everything they can do to make you give up and keep paying.
Disreputable thieves.
I’ve been a loyal member at VASA…
I’ve been a loyal member at VASA (Church Ranch location) since 2018 and have been doing Studio Red for over a year, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing and honestly concerning. Note, I drive an extra 30 minutes one way out of my way to go to this specific location because of Muti, Olga, and Jason.
During the 5:30 PM class with Joanne on Wednesday, March 25, I was about five minutes into my treadmill run when a manager abruptly stopped my running and began yelling at me in front of the entire class. This was shocking, unsafe, and completely inappropriate—especially since the music was loud and I was clearly focused on my workout. It was out of the blue. My phone was simply resting on the machine, not in use. I was jogging, hands at my side. It was very jarring and created confusion, anxiety, stress, and frustration.
The situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of addressing anything professionally or privately, the manager chose to interrupt my workout and create a scene. I left the class feeling shaken and upset.
When I went to the front desk for help, Riley initially acknowledged that the situation seemed like an overreaction. However, once it became clear that the person involved was their manager (who refused to give her name—black hair, bangs, septum piercing), the response shifted. I repeatedly asked for a private space to speak, but that request was ignored. The manager continued raising her voice despite me asking several times for a private space, since I knew being yelled at would trigger my defensiveness and I wanted to take the situation away from a public space where others were trying to focus and engage in their activities.
I do want to recognize Allison from corporate, who handled my complaint afterward—she was professional, empathetic, and truly helpful.
What’s most concerning is the lack of professionalism, de-escalation skills, and basic respect shown by management and staff. Stopping a moving treadmill alone is a serious safety issue. This could have been handled calmly and privately after class.
It’s unfortunate because I go out of my way to come to this location specifically for instructors like Jason, Muti, and Olga, who are respectful, professional, and create a positive environment.
I want to continue my membership, but this experience has impacted my sense of safety and trust at this location. I hope VASA takes this seriously and ensures better training for staff moving forward—no member should be treated this way.
The worst gym/company maybe ever
The worst gym/company maybe ever. Do not give them your business. They are evil, like deadass just evil. Fee's out the wazoo, crazy employees. Someone needs to sue them I'm not even joking.
…PUT BOXING BAG BACK UP
I SIGNED UP TO USE THE BOXING BAG ONLY . I DON'T USE ANYTHING ELSE ! THE BAG HAS BE UP FOR YEARS AND NOW THEY TOOK IT DOWN AND WONT REPLACE IT BECAUSE THEY SAYS IT'S BEEN RIPPED A FEW TIMES IN THE YEARS . I TALK A EMPLOYEE AT THE GYM AND TOLD ME THAT WAS NOT THE REASON THEY TOOK THE BAGS DOWN . HE SAID TO MANY MEXICANS' AND BLACK PEOPLE WERE USING THE BAG AND THEY WANTED TO KEEP A EVEN BALANCE IN THE GYM ??? HARD TO BELIEVE THE GYM IS RACIST BUT THAT WHAT I WAS TOLD ???? THEY NEVER PUT BAG BACK UP ? AND THEY BROKE MY CONTRACT .THEY SHOULD KEEP ALL MEMBERS HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You Will Not Get Treated Right from Corporate/Billing
Save your money or go somewhere else.
They advertise a low monthly rate, but the aren't transparent about late fees that are double the cost of the membership. These fees have no grace period and hit IMMEDIATELY.
You can't speak to anyone in billing at all. I've called, waiting on hold for an hour. I have selected their "call you back" feature multiple times. I never get a call back.
I have sent emails. I cannot get an email back.
I was trying to cancel my membership but I couldn't cuz I had to square up my late fees. I finally did, and got charged for my membership AGAIN after trying to cancel for two weeks. They don't care to speak with any customers and just want money from online charges.
I am furious I got charged again after trying to cancel for TWO WEEKS. I wish no one would go here.
Yearly fees
Yearly fees so the price is not what it seems. So shameful, would not recommend vasa to any student.
Tried to cancel my membership for over…
Tried to cancel my membership for over 6 months without success. My membership $25 per month plus my trainer 2 X $90 per month is a total of $1,230 for the past 6 months. I kept getting assurances that it was canceled and finally cut them off with American Express. What a total rip off.
Avoid this business like the plague
Avoid this business like the plague! They make it impossible to cancel without paying enormous fees. It feels like I am being held against my will. Before I can cancel, they are charging me a $19.99 upcoming membership fee, a $59.99 rate guarantee fee, and a $25.00 cancelation fee. So just for the privilege of cancellaing I have to pay $104.98 in fees! This is insane!!!
Honestly the gym and staff are great
Honestly the gym and staff are great. Its the hidden billing. Like paying a fee to keep your prices locked. Simple math just makes it more expensive then advertised.
Also Honestly setting up cameras and taking up a piece of equipment to make Tic Tock videos is sometime that should be removed. The gym is to make yourself fit and not a filming studio.
I was not suprised to open up review portal and find a low rating for Vasa.
My experience with kid care
My experience with your customer support has been extremely disappointing. Responses take days, and every time I finally hear back, I’m asked the same basic questions about my contact information again. I have to repeat my request over and over.
It is nearly impossible to reach anyone by phone.
At the VASA fitness center, representatives give different information every time. When I came in person on January 29 to cancel Kid Care, I was told it was successfully canceled — but clearly it was not. I was still charged for February, even though my children no longer attend.
All I needed was a simple Kid Care cancellation — and since I was charged anyway, I am requesting a refund.
This has been a terrible experience and shows a complete lack of respect for customers.
This might be one of the worst…
This might be one of the worst companies I have ever given my business to. I never write reviews, EVER! This might be the first review of a company I have ever written actually and god is it warranted.
No customer consideration whatsoever. They charge you to cancel. When you try to cancel on the app (that you’re signed into), it sends you to a page where you have to look up your account (from the app you’re signed into). Once you do that for no reason, then it tells you that you can’t cancel your membership and that you need to contact an employee to do so.
DO NOT go to this gym. Trust me, It is way overpriced for so few amenities. They trap you into giving them 25 dollars after you sign up WHEN you decide to cancel because VASA inevitably didn’t live up to the hype.
If I could I would give it negative stars. 💩
Can't cancel
I have not been able to cancel my membership. Customer service does not exist.
Absolute zero stars
Absolute zero stars – this place is a frozen hellhole masquerading as a gym. Barely open for a pathetic couple of months, and they’ve already managed to screw up the basics: zero hot water in the locker rooms, forcing everyone to endure torturous ice-cold showers that leave you shivering and miserable. Management? What a joke – they’ve been fully aware of this disaster but couldn’t care less, blatantly ignoring the complaints and letting the problems fester like an open wound. It’s downright moronic, incompetent behavior from a so-called “team” that probably doesn’t even understand the first thing about running a facility. Avoid this dump at all costs unless you enjoy suffering in subzero conditions!
Extremely predatory hidden fees in…
Extremely predatory hidden fees in their contract.
I signed up for a 12 session engagement of personal training, and they failed to tell me that after the 12 sessions they will automatically subscribe you to a month to month at $280 a month, and require a 30 day cancellation of that unbeknownst subscription.
They now want over $380 just to cancel for a gym I can't even use because of how busy they are.
My trainer
My trainer, Michelle is a super nice and friendly person. As a coach she pushes me to work hard and keeps me accountable. In my 30 minute sessions with her, I sweat the most. I am always out of breath but that's only because of my top heaviness which we are working towards slimming down. Always happy to get there and train with her!!
