This is terrible

This is terrible, I've contacted Equifax few weeks ago about my report and the person who was hadeling my request was not based in Canada but from India. Since then, its been a nightmare. I am getting phone calls non stop from so many different phone numbers offering different promotions based on my profile and its all SCAM! So all our confidential info is now in hands of scammers... How can this be possible?

Equifax is a JOKE!!

I have had banks pull my credit reports and apparently Equifax says I haven't existed from 1990 to 2019. I've had credit cards, loans & mortgages during that time and never defaulted on payments and paid them all off. And trying to get a hold of Equifax is a joke. TransUnion on the other hand says I've existed from 1990 to 2019 and have all my transactions recorded. The only problem is that banks are still asking for credit reports through Equifax and of course are wondering about the 1990-2019 period. FRUSTRATION!!!!

Wrong credit

If there’s less than one star ,I would put it. How come the company that’s all the banks trust is like that. They put a credit under my name that’s not mine and is affecting my score and when I tried to contact them , they started investigation which is been going on for months and now they said they sent the report to the wrong bank. When I asked to talked to the supervisor they hanged up on me . I talked to many agents the name that I still remember are Hiro and Jasmine. I have the right to talk to the supervisor because this is ridiculous.

If I could give 0 stars

If I could give 0 stars, I WOULD! THE WORST SERVICE EVER! The person on the phone was super rude, almost screaming at me, and got angry at my questions before hanging up in the middle of the conversation. This is TERRIBLE, Equifax! This shouldn't be the case, especially when I'm paying for the subscription on a monthly basis.

Unprofessional

Called 1866 828 5961 an agent with an extremely thick Indian accent, that was very hard to understand answered the phone mumbling casually like I was calling her personal phone. She started off by lying about information which I think is very much ilegal, kept speaking over, me. She then passive-aggressively put me on hold mid conversation, then came back as she didn't want me to speak. This is trashy, and shameful. They don't hold employees to basic standard of professionalism, and mutual respect. I'm actually shocked.

Terrible and unprofessional customer…

Terrible and unprofessional customer service. Zero star it is the best description. I placed a phone call with request for my credit score. After 30 min. the first rep hung up. She was rude, arrogant and interrupting me. When I requsted to talk with manager she hung up. Second rep after my request to talk with manager hang up immediately. Be aware a free credit score is not free. You must wait 30 days and the report will not up to date. Stay away from this bureau.

Beware ,this company can lute your money

Closed my account with them in December before a major move to a new city. They never stopped billing my credit card.
Make sure you follow up your CC statements so someone is not milking you for your hard-earned $$ while your back is turned and you are not paying 100% attention.
They will milk you out of any dollar they can.
Their service is more than mediocre and they do not deliver anything on their offerings.
Numerous calls to them to tell them to stop payments and the account let a service agent cancel my account. I was just billed again on 30 Dec 2023 and January . Furthermore, they had promised that someone from customer support would investigate and get back to me within thirty days to refund the money I paid by mail; I never got it back. I am complaining to the police the sheriff's fraud department and the BBB, and will try to recoup the money. AND this from a company supposed to protect you against credit issues and identity theft?
We need a lawyer to hold these thieves accountable since these thieves also have access to our all our credit information! Even VISA Security said they have hundreds of complaints against them for taking people's money.
This should be the source of a class action lawsuit against EQUIFAX and I hope they sink as a result.
They lute the money, I am not sure why this is happening repeatedly to different people. The company looks like a scam..beware my fellow people

FALSE REPRESENTATION AND CORPORATE THEFT ON A GRAND SCALE

Closed my account with them in July 2021 before a major move to a new city. They never stopped billing my credit card every month since. It was with a bank where I have some credit and savings but that I rarely access since its savings for a rainy day.
Make sure you follow-up with your CC statements so someone is not milking you for your hard earned $$ while your back is turned and you are not paying 100% attention. An electronic message from equifax saying that they could not collect payment (thanks to my CC card renewal), was the only way I was able to find this out since i had no other bills there except my student loan.
They will milk you out of any dollar they can by trying to sell you a refrigerator or get you to renew.
Their service is morse than mediocre and they do not deliver anything on their offerings.
Numerous calls to them to tell them to stop payments and the account let to a service agent telling me that the service would end for sure 25 Nov 2023; I was just billed again 30 Dec 2023. Furthermore, they had promised that someone from customer support would investigate and get back to me within thirty days to refund the money I paid by mail; it has been almost three months. Today I contacted my CC to get a grab on payments but they can only go back a couple months. They are now blocked from stealing my hard earned money. And I am lodging a complaint with the police whitecollar fraud department and the BBB, and will try to recupe the money stolen since 2021. AND this from a company supposed to protect you against credit issues and identity theft?
We need a lawyer to hold these thieves accountable since these thieves also have access to our all our credit information! Even VISA Security said they have hundreds of complaints against them for taking peoples money.
This should be the source of a class action lawsuit against EQUIFAX and I hope they sink as a result.
This is theft and I will never be a victim.
I truely hope this warning helps y'all!

EQUIFAX SELLS YOUR INFO TO THIRD…

EQUIFAX SELLS YOUR INFO TO THIRD PARTIES.
(See their opt-out page on website)

Tried twice to cancel my monthly monitoring subscription and customer service refused both times and even hung up on me for not giving them updated contact info. When I got off the phone I immediately cancelled my credit card to avoid giving them another dime. After researching I confirmed they do sell your information thus why they were holding me hostage for it.

Horrible credit report agency

Horrible credit report agency. Ask them to look into fraud with a creditor and the just turn a blind eye. No actual information given to me just told to contact the creditors that I don't have a contact with. Equifax should be shut down. Worst business I've ever dealt with

Don’t care about anyone

Every time I called and asked them to take off an unpaid bill on my collections, they always hung up on me. I paid that bill off over a year ago and they still haven’t marked it as paid. This is destroying my credit and no matter what I do, it won’t improve. I’m so tired of this, they are quite literally ruining my life, I can’t get approved for anything and all I’ve been doing is anything to improve my credit. I have a baby on the way and can’t even get approved to pay off a car seat. This is beyond ridiculous. Someone needs to do something about this

I paid $13.50 on their flash sale with the intention of cancelling after I got my report. After a very long time on hold I asked to cancel but low and behold next month I see a $26.50 charge on my cc. Can't get through to customer service so will have to cancel my cc. Scam!

Equifax will take your credit card info…

Equifax will take your credit card info and start charging you monthly without your permission under the quise that your credit info is for reports purposes. They will be months and months behind your credit score and that is done on purpose because they want to "improve and give you current updates" For only $29 per month. They miss account from 6 months ago. Unless, of course, if you give them $29. They should be disqualified as an honest company. They are very hungry and will trick you into wasting your money. They are a money grabbing company with marketing scams.

I hate their customer service and website

I hate their customer service. They do nothing for you. Impossible to sign in. Never recognized my password even if I called many times about the issue. They are useless. Keep changing my score without knowing why. They just reply with a generic email.

Absolute nightmare when attempting to…

Absolute nightmare when attempting to dispute any discrepancies on your credit score! It took over 3 months to resolve an issue regarding identity theft as to which i provided (uploaded) all required documents for the dispute but yet i kept receiving email notifications that they looked into the issue with no success. I provided police report, confirmation email that indeed there was actual fraud but they still didnt update my credit report! after wasting my time calling equifax many times to have them update my credit report they update the report by removing the incorrect inquiry. Instead of removing freedom mobile they remove fido from my credit report!?!?!?! Equifax is the most incompetent organization that i had the unfortunate experience to work with. It's scary to know that this organization is responsible for the accuracy and safekeeping of peoples credit score but yet fail miserably to provide accurate and efficient services to those same people that are the reason Equifax exists! I feel sorry for people who suffer from identity theft and have to deal with Equifax. It just adds to the nightmare of identity theft.

Stay far away and remain Happy! Stupidity is a virus.

Signed up for my "free report" gave them my Credit Card Number should I continue with them. At 29 days I
tried to call them - no Customer Service. Went on their
Chat Room - impossible to have someone understand "Cancel". Reached a Service Representative who bombarded me with stupid, irrelavent questions, could not understand English and got huffy when I told her to look at the file - it contained the information she pestered me for. She hung up - par for the course

Equifax and there money grab against customers.

Equifax and the way they have mishandled my situation since September 27, 2023. It has been an utterly frustrating and infuriating experience trying to get them to refund a fee that I never signed up for in the first place. My account with Equifax is supposed to be $5.20 and I should not have had to go through.I have now been charged $26.20 as well and customer service was no help.I just needed a one time rating for a rental agreement. I am appalled by their complete disregard for their customers' financial well-being. This is not just a minor inconvenience; it's a blatant violation of trust.
