Really impressed
I've been really impressed with esalon. The kit is brilliant they have thought of everything. I had a slight issue that for some reason the dye lightened my roots (I have extremely dark brown hair) although the rest of the colour was gorgeous. I emailed them and straight away they sent me a dye just for my roots. They think there was too much of a certain tone in the root dye which caused it to lighten. Anyway I was impressed with how quickly they sorted this and the kit itself.

Expensive for what you get vs hairdresser
Expensive, not enough colour to cover long hair. Left me with 2tone colour. Colour left very quickly & seemed to turn my hair very red.

Hair loss and no money back
Aggressive advertising …all over Facebook.
Still suffering daily hair loss from dye.
Unknowingly signed up after £12 cheap trial.
Next box £27 -I didn’t want it so was told I could return it (at my own expense) and they would refund.
Surprise surprise they claim to have never received it.
AVOID!
Money back guarantee -yeh right!

It's okay and the permanent dye looks…
It's okay and the permanent dye looks nice when first done but after a while it has faded and gone a much warmer shade than the colour I chose and was matched to. I recommend if you want to regularlu colour your hair, but the reason I tried this out was to get my hair back to my natural colour. It hasn't matched my expectations for that unfortunately.

Got what I wanted!
Finally got to the colour I wanted, after having to colour correct a couple of times due to blue in my hair. It's great that you can talk to the expert about what you want and adjust the colour to you. Very happy with the results and the products make my hair so soft and smell delicious!!

Wrong colour and poor customer service
I was originally really pleased with esalon. The email from the colourist telling you that they are working on your colour, then the product arriving with your name and instructions on everything. It’s really personal and a nice touch seems hair colouring is a personal thing.
However my experience afterwards wasn’t so great. Prior to this I had completely un-dyed hair. It was completely nature and a dark brown that people mistake for black. The colour my hair was supposed to go was a medium brown with a copper hue. However my hair never lightened at all. To the point that nobody has even noticed that I have dyed my hair. Surly a dark hair to a medium hair would be noticeable.
I did everything requested, provided a photo with my natural hair colour for the hair colourist to work from and followed the instructions to the T.
I contacted esalon after my hair colouring and provided a photo as they say on there website if you aren’t happy with the results they will make it right or refund. Well what I received was several emails passing me off and telling me to let them know if I want the next colouring lighter. The next colouring is suppose to be just roots. The colour needs correction now to be the colour it was suppose to be and not just next time or I will have two toned hair. Anyway my issue is I selected a medium copper brown which I do not have. I also contacted the company as they said they will sort things, instead they didn’t give a rats ass.
It’s a shame as if the colour and customer care was there I would of carried on my subscription as like I stated at the beginning I like the personal touch. However I can’t support a company that won’t take action when there own policy states they do.

Great customer service and quality product
Although purely online, a relatively thorough consultation to determine best colour, eg ascertaining condition of hair - previously coloured, grey, etc; provision of photos; opportunity for chats.
Regular updates on order, offer of optional additional products without pressure.
As a customer, I feel valued - great service and good quality product.

Let down by customer service
I ordered for the first time and was impressed with the steps to order.. however their customer service is really poor. After 6 days and no shipping notification I contacted them to be told it would ship that day. After 8 days and no notification I called and was told they don't know why it is delayed and that it "should" ship within a few days. There was no communication from eSalon and no attempt to rectify the issue. I am reasonable and was happy to wait if I could be told when to expect it. They say 1-3 days desptach time but at day 8 couldn't even confirm when it would be despatch. I cancelled my order and won't be trying them again.

Colour change
Recently I had an issue with the colour I received as the root and length didnt match, the stylist sent out another free or charge colour for colouring my whole head which now looks great.

I ordered mine and I'm delighted. The customer service was wonderful; they even called me to explain how we were going to achieve my desired color based on my hair characteristics. Romina, such a lovely girl, assisted me—very kind and helpful. It's very easy to apply, doesn't leave stains, and comes in a large quantity (I have a lot of hair and usually need two bottles of regular pharmacy brands). I didn't experience any irritation (sometimes other brands cause me slight allergies), and my hair ended up soft with a wonderful color.

This was my first time using e-salon. I like the colour which looks very natural. Ordering and choosing the colour was easy and the delivery was on time. The follow up to check the colour was good, before my next order was dispatched, was very reassuring. Again, the delivery was on time. Very pleased overall.
