I initially contacted Connells Taunton when I was considering selling my property following a relationship breakup. It was a very stressful time, and although I decided to go in a different dire... See more

*ANY FIRST TIME BUYERS NEEDING A MORTGAGE ADVISOR, PLEASE REQUEST RICHARD MUNDAY RUSHDEN BRANCH*
Not 1 fault from our initial conversation, to our contracts being exchanged. Richard Munday was the 4th advisor we spoke to and by far above the rest, offering helpful and important advice being first time buyers, we were confident choosing Richard. Richard ensured to maintain regular contact throughout the process and was very supportive when we needed additional help with our Solicitor documents (who were useless). Any issues or queries we had, Richard was prompt with support and advice. 1000% recommend Richard for first time buyers! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Avoid Oxford Cowley Branch at all…
Avoid Oxford Cowley Branch at all costs. Do you know connells tie you into a 6 month contract with no right to cancel the contract? The manager Saqib is an obnoxious and argumentative individual...happy to waste time arguing over how amazing he is but not invest that time into selling the property. I have had no viewings since I have been with connells and I regret joining with them
Landlord scammed by Connels!
I am a landlord and Let my property through Connels. AVOID like the plague! They have taken my money and are not responding to my emails, I have no copy of contract or anything. I can't believe a company of this size are capable of this- unresolved and ongoing.
Lack of communication …
Lack of communication from start to finish. Connells did not understand about modern auction, although this was how they were handling the sale of a property. Numerous times they promised to phone us back and never did. Would not recommend Torquay branch.
Connells Halesowen
To start off we put in an offer on a house which was accepted by the seller who agreed to take it off the market. Was then contacted a few days later to say we were out bided.. how did this happen when it was taken off the market?! We were told it was “in the sellers discretion to tell her the higher offer” which of course she’s going to accept. We ended up in a bidding war and eventually won. After 4 months of waiting for one thing from the seller we phoned Connells which lead to unanswered calls, when we did get through to them we were told they aren’t sure what’s going on and they hadn’t spoken to the seller in weeks. Then they started to lie to us which we caught them out on. We ended up pulling out because of all the agro loosing money, not worth the stress going through them!
My experience with Connells in Rainham
My experience with Connells in Rainham, Kent was positive, despite having gone through a number of staff over the last few months which to me, would suggest that the retention of staff in Rainham is something to consider. Irrespective of that, the handover from the various staff that I have spoken to, namely Mark Ranger and recently Stacey have been exceptionally helpful in adhering to my persistence in getting my house move resolved swiftly. There have been a number of unexpected obstacles along the way, but these two individuals have kept me posted throughout the process and have gone over and beyond in this stressful experience. Ultimately, the objective has been achieved and give credit to what has been a reasonable experience with Connell in Rainham Kent.
Would have given zero stars if possible
Would have given zero stars if possible. Mum has alzheimers and they wanted me to break the chain to ensure her house sold. They were happy to.force my mum into temporary accommodation to get the house sale.Took 11 months for the move to happen through their recommend solicitors. No compassion or help during the whole process because the house purchase was not through Connells. Avoid at all costs.
Rubbish Service
The service we have received through the whole process of selling my late father's house has not been good. Since the process started the other executor passed away so I have now to deal with this on my own. They don't reply to emails. Ring back the wrong person or do not return your call at all. This is for the Grantham Connell's estate agents. Need some members of staff with a bit of empathy and better customer service. Would not recommend these to anyone. I was told at the beginning not to have them but went along with what my brother suggested. Please steer well clear of them.
Great Team at Connells Maidstone
Cameron & Isabella at Connells in Maidstone have been amazing at keeping us updated on a property we liked and helping us along the journey. They kept us updated and informed. Would recommend them
Modern Auctions...
Interested in some properties and had a chat about the modern auction method of buying.
Sorry, but it's a rip-off on an epic scale. The wide boy on the other end of the phone claimed a £6,600 "reservation fee" (which is added to the purchase price) was good value "because you're getting it cheaply - it's a great deal. I don't know what issue you with it to be fair...".
The issue is that it's total and utter greed dressed up as a "good deal". I wish no-one would take part and they'd soon stop doing it. They are the ones taking all the money - if you look at what prices auction properties actually sell for you rarely get a great deal, and they're almost certainly taking a chunk from the seller as well.
A regular sale incurs about a 3-3.5% fee. For a property on the market for £70,000 that's a fee of about £2,500. How you can, with a straight face, try and claim that £6,600 is "a good deal" is beyond me. Of course, that's before you even hire a solicitor or think about Stamp Duty...
Oh...plus there's a £300 viewing fee...!?
I'm absolutely sure that (sadly) it's legal, and I'm sure it's not technically a scam, but it's about as close to a scam as I've ever stepped close to. I'm a cash buyer and will never ever ever go down this route.
Connells in Shirley Southampton
Connells in Shirley Southampton. Amazing. Went above and beyond for us. Fast professional service. Stuart and Shannon answered emails promptly and got everything moving asap so we could be in our new home. Highly recor

Purchase a property with the help of the mortage broker Michelle she was very supportive and professional through the process highly recommended
AVOID CONNELLS IN AYLESBURY AT ALL COSTS
STAY AWAY from Connells in Aylesbury. They are big LIARS! They are TOXIC! They did not give a property to me and my husband for prejudice! I will speak to my solicitor! Especially STAY AWAY from Adam Manning because he is a snake! He should be working as cleaner rather than be a senior lettings manager! This is a WARNING! AVOID Connells in Aylesbury at all costs! To give to them 1 star is too much!
Connells Faversham
Connells Faversham. They accepted my offer I put in for house purchase. What followed was poor communication and lies I had to keep chasing them for updates on progress. Lots of excuses were made re delay in doing what they had agreed to do. They also referred me to a solicitor for the conveyancing already knowing I had instructed my own solicitor. I started not to trust them the final straw was when they re marketed the property without my knowing when I was still under the impression that the sale was proceeding.
Needless to say I prefer to look for another property as I wasn’t prepared to deal with these incompetent so called professionals any longer.
Crawley Branch
Crawley Branch. One star is being kind! The description of my property could have been written by a ten year old, I ended up doing 95% of it myself. In about 10 weeks they did not email me, text me or bother to pick up the phone. I think they took an instant dislike to me telling them that they were not up to scratch and done nothing re selling my house. As it was summer and I had a lot going on I didn’t call them, but as soon as end of August came, I contacted them by email and told them they were no longer acting for me, they didn’t even question why!!! Worst experience ever with an estate agent!!
Connells in Bitterne
Connells in Bitterne, Southampton.
Very bad communication from the start.
We had explained at the beginning that we wanted an open day to minimise disruption at home but that never happened.
We had a lot of viewings but because we wanted weekend viewings (my wife works from home as a counsellor and needs to maintain confidentiality) . We didn't get any feedback until the following week.
We still had to chase for viewer feedback even after we highlighted this fact with connells.
At one point they told us they were really busy on a Saturday and we got the impression that we were being awkward, until I reminded them that they were supposed to be working for us.
In short we were always chasing for answers or feedback and felt like we were a burden.
Finally we gave them notice rather than try duel agent because we just didn't trust them. So glad we did. Went with White & Guard in Bitterne and had an offer within one week.
Will admit it's not the best house selling / buying market but even when we quit them they never communicated with us.
The estate agent seemed to be in in a…
The estate agent seemed to be in in a rush to get the contract signed and then marketed our property at a different price to what their valuation states. To make matters worse they ignored my emails asking for clarity. Best to use a local agent and avoid corporations like Connells who are expensive and not transparent in their communication.
Very disappointed
I was very disappointed with the service I received from Connells Estate Agents Leavesden. I was selling a house with no chain to a buyer with no chain. The communication between myself and the office was not good. I was the one phoning them to find out what was going on. I realise that there was an issue with the buyers solicitor but that does not excuse the lack of communication. Would not recommend them.
Connells has been an excellent housing…
Connells has been an excellent housing agent for me and my family in term of finding for mortgage and any other things. The reason I rated it 5 stars is because they helped me from the starting of mortgage findings to the end. I and my mother went straight into their office (West Bromwich) to speak to them and they didn’t not hesitate when we went to them. They assisted us in searching for the property and in no time we were able to get the property of our choice. What I like about them is they didn’t give up so as me in finding for different properties, they were ready to help no matter the situation. And they always contacted me if I’ve got any property I’m interested with. They kept checking on me if I got the property and they booked me to their office to assist. Everything went on successfully and if I’ve got anything I don’t understand, they were always at my side to help me out. Abs what excite me is that, after I got the property I was interested with, they were also happy for me. Everything went in smoothly and now I’m enjoying my new mortgage. Thanks to Connells for being there in-terms of difficultly. I will recommend Connells to you because they’re lovely people especially Veer Singh because he was the one that helped us from the beginning and to the end and they are also really to help in terms of everything.
Extremely bad
I don’t know why this Connells company is still allowed to operate.
I received worst letting experience fro Connells Estate agents in Essex.
Avoid Connells if you cherish your peace of mind.
Very bad customer service. Communication between the staff/teams terrible. The staff are clueless. You will have to chase them up always for updates either verbally or in writing. Connells do not care about their clients only good at collecting money inappropriately from clients.
I complained in April 2023 but no changes. Staff need training on customer services, telephone management, timekeeping, communications and professionalism.
Bernice initially in Rayleigh branch was good before the contract was signed. The agreement made before the contract were not carried out as promised.
