After some time finally found a link to starting a case they emailed me in 30 min that they would refund my money i think if the link had worked from their 3rd email to start a case it would have been solved the first day When i placed my order I checked out as a guest they emailed me thanking me for my order then emailed me that the seller doesn't sell with them anymore. With a leak to start a case it didn't work This all happen with in 4 hrs
checked with PayPal the money went to etsy they should have refunded the money back to PayPal but didn't.
I have downloaded the app started a account to try and get with someone about this it keep asking you to do this do that just going around in circles .

Isn't there any support center? I had contacted with the support center but no outcome on returning my low quality product which I purchased from Etsy. Please need urgent solution if you really can!
Too many scams
I love some of the sellers. They are the only reason I give it 2 stars. I’m sick of doing reverse image searches to find the EXACT same thing at Amazon or Walmart. Etsy should vet their sellers and products; the customers shouldn’t have to. If I find something (legitimate) that I like there, I’m going to start going directly to the sellers own website so Etsy doesn’t profit. Also looking for a better place to buy authentic items.

While a lot of the products are lovely and well worth the cost, the fact that you're paying the same amount in shipping as the item is a huge disappointment. No longer buying on etsy because of this, just not worth it. Buy local!!!
1- Etsy Canada is a total Scam
1- Customers service is terrible....in 7 years their customer service has never been able to answer my questions or solve any issue.
2- Their cut when I make a sale is from 25 to 30% and they barely advertise my stuff. They want me to pay another $25 min to give them incentive to do so and when I make a search, nothing of mine comes up out of all 25 of my glass items
3 - They are basically slave labour and they get around this by not classifying us as "employees" no minimum wage, benefits etc. because they say we are our own bosses and have full control over what they sell. Realistically, the average seller makes $1 to $10 per hour. If we raise the prices so that we get minimum wage, no one will buy it because Etsy has created such a scam that people are just happy when they sell their art.
4 - Etsy has stopped advertising Canadian sellers because of Trump's Chump Tax (tariffs). Even though it's mandatory that we are pre paying all duties and taxes. Also pre paying shipping (Free to our customers)
5 - Etsy has a Star Seller program were they are supposed to advertise our stuff more if we meet the Star Seller requirements. I've notice that they purposfully are fixing the states so that Canadians sellers don't show up as often. For example, I have a smart watch and it alerts me instantly when I get a message from a prospective customer. I immediately message them back withing 1/2 hour. Etsy now states that I'm only responding quickly to 92% of my customer inquiries and their minimum Star Seller qualification is 95%. I contacted customer service and they refuse to put in a trouble ticket and also state that they have no access to my stats and/record. Total B.S.
Etsy support is a scam
I purchased an expensive rug from India believing I would be covered by Etsys product support and guarantees however this wasn’t the case , the rug was hand loomed and faulty and only by the good grace of the supplier was the rug replaced, after weeks of talking to Etsy support and lodging a case with them did they decide to close the case stating the item was now used yet the rug was still within there 100 day protection period.
They continually wasted time and reassured me the problem would be solved and a refund provided.
The seller fortunately stood by his product and the replacement rug is due to arrive by FedEx on the 30th of September.
Anyone using the Etsy site should never rely on there promised protection policies or believe you will receive any support as it’s little more than words and waffle and nothing will be done.
I enjoy purchasing unusual items from Etsy but due to the now known risks I will never purchase from them again and intend to close my account, they simply do not honour there policies at all.
Very bad and disorganized website
Very bad and disorganized website. Extremely poor service and very hard almost impossible to get hold on customer support . No contact number or contact person. Cancellation is almost impossible even within two hours although my item was not even shipped.The seller is refusing to cancel and I cannot get any help from support team. I have never experienced such a horrible service. I am going to contact business bureau of Canada. My advice to all please don’t use this website.

Etsy's Customer Support service is very poor. They reply blindly to the Account Suspend Appeal, even though you created the account a second time by following all Etsy rules. Every case should be handled differently. It seems they do not care. If you make new sellers frustrated, they will find an alternate platform. It is frustrating. I wasted a lot of time organizing my account.

Since 2017, I have run a small Etsy shop from Jordan, completing over 5,900 orders and fully complying with Etsy’s rules.
I was notified that (my Etsy shop will be forcibly closed on 5 August 2025 ), due to Etsy’s decision to remove PayPal as a payment option and the absence of Etsy Payments in Jordan - leaving me no means to receive payments.

I proposed multiple reasonable and lawful solutions to Etsy, including :
* Using my verified Payoneer account, which works legally and officially in Jordan.(which is permitted for sellers in other countries).
* Transferring my shop location or shop management to a US based trusted individual.
* Establishing a US based company to legally shift my store operations.
Unfortunately, Etsy rejected every solution without offering any alternative. They did not give me a path forward, nor did they demonstrate any consideration for loyal sellers who helped build their platform,
They refused to allow PayPal to continue until a proper solution could be found.
Etsy allow sellers from many countries around the world to receive payments from Payoneer, Although I have a verified Payoneer account, but they do not want to add the Payoneer service to me.
It is deeply unjust for Etsy to succeed with our efforts for years, and now abandon us without support. They are turning their back on sellers who helped build this platform, not because we did anything wrong, but simply because of where we live.
We sellers are families, workers, human beings, not numbers. And I believe this injustice should be addressed at the highest level.

Extremely Disappointed with Etsy Support - Unresolved Bank Verification Issue
I have been a dedicated Etsy seller for quite some time, but my recent experience has been nothing short of frustrating. My shop has been suspended because I reached the maximum number of attempts to verify my bank account, and now I can't receive any funds.
I followed all the necessary steps, including visiting my TD bank in person to confirm that my transit number and other details are accurate and authenticated. Surprisingly, the same TD bank account works perfectly with my second Etsy seller account, but for some reason, my current account continues to face verification issues.
Since Monday, I have sent multiple emails to Etsy support seeking urgent assistance, but I have not received a single response. I feel completely ignored, and it’s deeply disappointing considering how much I rely on this platform for my business.
This lack of support is unacceptable, especially when my shop’s suspension is causing severe disruptions to my operations. As a small business owner, I expect timely and effective help from a platform that claims to support entrepreneurs.
I hope Etsy takes this matter seriously and addresses the issue without further delay. At this point, I am left with no choice but to share my experience here, hoping that it gets noticed and resolved.
Etsy, please step up and support your sellers!

Etsy is a terrible platform. They allow for the most braindead dropshipped goods and AI art to be sold on their website for "handcrafted" prices and their filtering for products is abysmal. I can't count how many times I ended up having to cancel my order at checkout because surprise! Even though you filtered by canada only, the vendor is in the states! Yikes.
That said, they have unfortunately dominated the market. There isn't really a competitor. If you can figure out how to use the shamefully poor filters and distinguish what's actually handmade versus what's available on Temu for 1/30 of the price, you can find some really amazing crafters and buy the most amazing one-of-a-kind items.
Just make sure not to get scammed doing it. There's a lot of them on there.
Not happy
Not happy, with this company. I ordered a cross Huguenot, for my wife and never got it. It could be the postal strike , so if we get it , then I can change my rating, slightly. What irks me the most is I cannot figure out a way to communicate with them about it! They are not helpful at all, except for a jumble of messages that confuse us , to get in touch with them. No phone number!!!!

The seller in this case sent me a brass curtain rail with stop ends and ten rings. Inexcusably, I received all items in the deal but the rings had been cut through. It looks from the marks on the rings that they had been put in a vice and hacksawed.
The seller wants photos but I have been unable to send them.
I have been unable to contact or have any dealings with the market agency called Etsy. The facilities they provide for pushing through a complaint or request for help are obscure and complicated in the extreme-maybe for a reason.

BUYER BEWARE. I bought some cooking pots. $300 Then the shipping was near double the price, then … $120 on import fees !! Total cost over $700. No where on the site reviews did I read that import fees applied, no info about how much the import fees may be. very sketchy. This is shocking and will not buy from here again.
Dishonest etsy took my money for account setup fee then suspended my account
This company is so dishonest, I will be starting a website similar to etsy for the people who they stole from can sell without being discriminated against.
I completed sign up and provided all info for my business, uploaded info as they requested.
I took screenshots of the entire setup process which they claimed all info received and setup was successful. I have vpn setup on my devices. It appears that they tried to track my location and my vpn blocked their access and therefore they instantly shut down my account, right after instantly taking account setup fee and I cannot access account without any indication, explanation, no communication.
There is no customer support, I doubt if they have staff. Each time you send a message they eventually email you back to say sorry your email does not accept incoming emails, and they are sending that message to the inbox that you are receiving their emails to and therefore they do not end up answering the questions or concerns you emailed them about with that scam response message.
I filed an appeal and their agent I received an email where they asked me to confirm where I am logging into my account? I work between Canada and the USA. The whole point of the www web is that you can access from anywhere. I did not contact them to tell them my account was compromised. I noticed these top companies looking to track you like facebook, uber,etsy, when they are unable to track you they claim other people are accessing your account and then block access, only because the vpn is doing its job and is providing me the security is it meant to provide and blocking the privacy violating companies breach to privacy, stopping illegal and unauthorized tracking.
Etsy has officially stolen the money from a person unemployed at the time looking to sell jewelry to generate income and taken my money, blocked account, suspend access and, they stole my money and then ignored me including not even responding to appeal as I shared in their appeal survey that their company did not even respond to the appeal how come they are looking for a pat on the back when they have not acted in any respectful fashion towards rectifying the money they stole and blocked access shortly after.
Etsy is dishonest an should be stopped. If they are boycotte they have no ability to continue to act as if they are a powerful company who just uses customers, takes their money and spit them out without explanation. Who would want to be with such as dishonest company who doesn't value anyone anyways. I will pray that my money you stole will leak out of your bank account along with all the quick cash you crapped and your company ceases to continue being dishonest and not offering the value the customers once thought you could provide.
So you take money for setup fee yet I have no account to show for it. I will also be filing a formal complaint to revenue canada requesting business and corporation documents and stealing funds so revenue canada can be aware that you are requesting business and corporation documents then shutting down potential customers accounts after you receive this information which no one knows what you truly intend to do with this information once collected as you are not allowing people to be able to use the accounts for the documents you are procurring.
I am so ashamed of your unethical practices and to know you do so at the current time with impunity, I will ensure I file additional complaints so the appropriate companies/ governing organizations which I will get the list from ai be aware of your dishonest cash crab unethical practices.
I do not expect to hear from you as I do not trust anything/anyone from your organization.

Terrible company
Terrible company. My order did not arrive. I contacted the Seller and tried to resolve the situation. The Seller said she would reimburse me but she never did. I contacted the Seller again requesting a reimbursement but she never responded. I tried opening a case with Etsy but received a message that the case is over 100 days old and that I should contact the Seller.
I have been patiently trying to resolve the issue with the Seller and when it wasn't resolved, I tried opening a case with Etsy. But now, I can't even do that. There is no one to talk to and assist with the problem.

If I could give a Zero I would have. I ordered an item mid April. When it didn't ship for 2weeks I contacted the seller. His name is Jean-François Beaudoin. He said it would ship in 10 days. When it didn't ship, I sent another email asking for a refund as the item was for an event that now will not get here in time.
Jean-François Beaudoin is now ignoring my emails asking for a refund. I cannot do anything about it until another 2 weeks through etsy. So Jean-François Beaudoin has my money for over a month before I can fight to get it back. Terrible customer service, because there is none. No one you can talk to.

Overall quality of all items sold on Etsy whether - clothes, household items….are outrageously over priced…..
Overused and damaged items are sold as “vintage” and at an exorbitant price. The term “vintage” is truly overused and abused by Etsy sellers…..
Very often you find an item reasonably priced, being sold within a certain geographical area….only to find that the shipping charges within the same geographical area has sky rocketed.
Would not recommend Etsy….

The worst experience, the manager or owner who whoever he is never responds back to you, he advised he doesn’t have a phone line ? The mirror I ordered looks cheap and not what I expected from looking at it on the website. He advised he would refund me money if I removed my poor review. He’s never been in touch with me since. I’d never ever buy another item from Etsy because of his poor management skills, how can you run a business like this
