Etsy Customer Service has no idea what they are doing.
Every time I contact them about an issue, the customer service agent act like its their very first day at job and fail to provide any kind of useful information. I basically have to teach THEM about THEIR policies, rules etc. A total lost cause and extremely frustrating.

I immediately handwashed my bathrobe from Indiashopart (Etsy) and the material started to dissolve in cold water and very gentle laundry soap.after much messaging and 2 wks. later I was offered a refund by the seller if I changed my 1star rating to 4+. I had to delete the clear pictures of their tattered product. I tried to edit my false 4 star review after I got the refund but it was frozen. So this is how Etsy gets high ratings Beware potential customers!!!

Etsy is a fraud and malicious website. Please dont use it because they are stealing your money. and nobody will be responsible for providing you back the money. They have stolen my money as well and now just playing the blame game with me.

Ordered stickers for Nutella for my suns Stefan and Gorjan. The names are spelled stefan and gorjan. Even first grader know that NAME START WITH CAPITAL LETTER!!!

I bought 70 $ of bulbs. Never received. Apparently, the seller (EskimoGC) is no more currently on etsy.

Please, avoid !

TERRIBLE. Bought a light and it first was shipped late with originally no explanation and then when I requested refund, the seller wrote a lengthy sob story. Three weeks later and item still not arrived. Requested refunded and refuses. Seller is ARTSKARTSHOP. I asked ETSY to assist and they choose to wait longer in case it does arrive - it’s been almost 6 weeks and was supposed to arrive in 5-10 days! Never again will I buy from ETSY. Now I know why I use wayfair

2 separate orders waited well over a month and no response, got refunded on my credit card but what a scam,ill stay with ebay and amazon,nevet had problems

Etsy show the seller USD price as CDN until time of purchase when they adjust the cost to add in exchange. They do not accept accountability and refer you to the seller who is not at fault whatsoever for the Etsy unethical behavior. The seller Tinker3Dgifts has been responsive and helpful so far.

Exhibit Leather/Emmy (Hungary): reduced a Tan Leather bag I had my eye on, when she reduced it a lot, I bought it. Even kept in touch saying I can't wait to receive it. Not in any of our several msgs to each other since 13 March 2023 did she say she did not have the leather. On 26th March 2023 she wrote to say she went short on the colour of the leather and is refunding me. I was certain a customer who had an eye on the bag simultaneously offered her the original price so she sold it to her! ETSY Canada has the systems to investigate her interactions, but refused to do it. She got away with this. Be very careful dealing with ETSY Canada - it is so difficult to contact ETSY in the first place. They do not make it easy to complain!

you will have a great experience or a terrible one. I had ordered from this site once before and had a good experience but my second experience was unacceptable.

I purchased a large item, on the 2nd of December, promised to arrive by the 21st. after 12 days without receiving confirmation of dispatch I tried to reach out for information and was surprised to realize that the seller was no longer contactable on the site. I contacted Etsy and was informed that the seller had already quit the platform and that my item would not be dispatched. Despite the seller having been off the platform for over a week at no point was I contacted by Etsy to advise an issue with my order, nor was a refund issued.

The service representative was polite and quick to issue a refund but getting my money back is poor recompense for wasting 10 days this close to Christmas for an item they already know I will never receive. I am left having missed out on black Friday sales and too clos to Christmas to find an equivalent gift in time. This could have been easily avoided if Etsy vetted their sellers, or if they were to provide clear communication by default when an order is not dispatched on time or is cancelled by the seller.

wow the scammers on that platform is bad the support (indian with fake names) refuses to use a brain and ban sellers who scam right in front of these useless people

Big problem connecting since last night so I deleted the app —-message each time indicate “457 sorry to many requests”

I sold a product on Etsy for €240 plus €9 shipping, of which I still have €170 left. I almost cried out of anger and inability to act.

They charged me €19 for shipping, even though I did all the shipping myself. Bought a parcel label from Hermes, printed it out, stuck it on and brought it to the parcel station yourself.

They charged me ~40€ marketing fees.

More fees for processing, shipping... more than 70€ in total, I'm just speechless, shocked by this nasty rip-off.

Today is September 17th, 2022, on September 19th the remaining amount of 172€ will supposedly be transferred to my account, they will probably take ~15€ again for that... in the end it will be 150€ and then I lost 90€.

I've never been ripped off online like I was on Etsy in my entire life.

Upon further investigation, checking the background of the management. It was clear... it's always the same!

SCAM artists! Every order I have tried to make within the last 3 yrs does not complete - Sending failed when trying to contact the seller and there is no way to contact anyone in the so-called Etsy Help Center - the weblink fails - the email address they provide is linked to Google and email is undeliverable.

Totally unacceptable!!! They block you asking to re-reconfirm your bank details with a test amount “sent to your bank account”. The amount is never sent out. When you try to reach Customer Service their “Chat -room” constantly gives message “Opps! Etsy just had a hiccup!” And the emails are hanging out without response for days. It’s been weeks since I am trying to reach anyone. If you register a complaint via email - you receive an email asking to verify it’s you (like name of your shop and last 4 digits of Acc number). After that is completed /- there’s NO next email to follow up. There’s simply NO customer service available and their system constantly creates technical errors so one either can’t log in or can’t confirm the order . Horrible experience. Running literally after then for the last 3 weeks without any progress

Items no longer available,overly expensive as well. Sellers are dishonest and deceptive to customers,also if you want to download an e-book or magazine you have to download from MEGA nz where you have to pay to download content.They will bill you to buy a download package that is expensive as well.I would give no stars for this company and their rinky-dinky app.I am fortunate the seller refunded my money.
Lifetime Boycott of this and other USA products and services like it.

Seller account suspended as soon as I made it. No explanation why and response from Etsy support.

This is a fraudulent company
This is a fraudulent company. I made a purchase with a seller who goes by the name of Koba1 and who sells "vintage watches" on Etsy. After a month had passed, my item never arrived. I contacted the seller. He said that he would get back to me, but he never did. I then opened a case with Etsy. After some time the seller appears and shows an obviously falsified receipt claiming that the item was sent. I contacted my Postal Service and they claimed that the item never left Lithuania. Etsy sided with the fraudulent seller and I never received neither my item nor my money. This company and their sellers are huge scams. I've reported Etsy to the Consumer Protection Agency. I do not know what they can do, but at least I have warned consumers about this fraudulent e-business. Save your money and avoid at all cost!

Now I understand why Etsy has only 2 stars reviews after reading some of the reviews and my own experiences. This Marketplace is the worst on the internet. Customer service was lacking. Never got a responses from Support to help or solve a problem. Seller who is seriously want to establish a small business and put all the effort and DEPEND on this third party marketplace will be vanish in a second without a reason nor guidance! I got 5 star reviews with happy clients (better than the marketplace itself surprisingly) suddenly was suspended.

One thing I want to say about Etsy their seller interface is easy to use than most of the marketplace and look nicer. however.

Their Policies are idealistic, double standard, that means they can do whatever they want. Etsy team working far off from integrity. They claimed customized or personalized products are not allow to sell on the Platform, but I could see a million of shop on Etsy are selling customized products. Try to get an answer but never get a response. they holding your funds for couple months when all my orders already fulfilled and shipped.

as well .. Zero support for sellers against scam ‘buyers’.

For Buyer, Etsy always accidently suspend shops that truly offer good services & products. A lot of Scam shop still exist on Etsy that are not suspended. The chances are getting your order are hit and miss until they work out a better Marketplace protocol. Treat people with respect, their 2 stars rating might be change.
