Shipping a road bike

I was a bit concerned about sending my road bike by courier but the on-line service was simple, the bike was picked up and delivered on time only 2 days from Paris to Norwich

Taking a bike to France

My bike was collected from me in London without fuss and delivered to me precisely on schedule in France. Can’t ask more than that, given that Eurostar is unable to reinstate their bike transportation service.

Great experience

Great experience, picked up suitcase from Paris on a Monday had it delivered by the end of the week.

EVERYTHING PERFECT!

GREAT!!!
Ok, it took me a few hours to understand everything + declare ALL my used personal belongings in my big+heavy suitcase to be sent from UK to Switzerland for the customs + to print+ stick the label with a good tape on its hard cover.
And it came much faster than promised, by DHL Express it was collected within hours - a person needs to hand it over to DHL staff (UK rule), and I've known they'd come between 9am-2pm. arrived by airmail (I've thought it would be surface mail) in only 6 days instead of the promised 9 days - so that's 3 working days / 40% faster than promised. All including customs clearance. I did not even get a bill for customs so far, maybe thanks to their great declaration. Advice: If true, write "used" in front of every item on your content declaration list, so it's value will be near to zero.
And most important: The suitcase has arrived totally undamaged.
And the price does not depend if you travel or not. Nir does it depend on it's weight at all (5 or 30 kg): Only oversize suitcases however are maybe 20% more than you've first thought, but that's standard in courier's business.
Unlike my previously bad experience with competitor HERMES within Germany that destroyed pretty much all suitcases and parts of it looked far out when finally delivered with 23 days delay, and who never knew where it was at all.
The only bad thing: If you tick "I travel" you must ab photos of your ID, but I did manage to meet their MB-size requirement, not in one hour even. Maybe a fault function!?
Fortunately I've ticked "I do not travel" which is much easier and seems not to have any disadvantages (even if not true...).
And if they're busy on the phone you can't wait for help but find yourself neing kick you out of the line immediately.And they don't tell you that cust service is open till 7 pm, Saturdays till 6pm, Sundays closed I think.
Amd I stll don't know about insurance...
2 negative points, that's 8,5 out of 10 points from me. But faster + perfectly delivered = 9,5 points. Thank you to EurostarLuggage Delivery.com and DHL Express!

I find it very ´onerous’ ( contraignant) not to know around what time your service will pickup or deliver the parcels. 9am to 5pm mean we are stuck for the day wherever we are… 😟

Horrible

Horrible, I spent $200 to have my 1 peice of luggage to be delivered to my hotel from London to Paris, 2 day service, showed up a day late, and to find out I could of brought my large luggage on the rail and paid a little more, very deceiving, made it sound like I had to send ahead

Better communication with your partners is needed

Everything was collected and delivered for a price which is honest. This being said, the DHL pick-up in London wasn't the happiest, since the guy was complaining that the boxes were too heavy and we had to help him load his van. At destination in Brussels, although you asked for the Eurostar ticket details, the delivery was a couple of hours early, but the guy waited for me and I could collect the boxes as soon as I reached destination.

Poor communication and damaged luggage

Initial contact was fine, but when it came to filling in the online form stating the contents, flight case contains sports equipment was not an option. The only close option was suitcase but the form wouldn’t submit without me listing at least 1 item of clothing which I hadn’t packed in that case. The auto email came through with the packing labels instantly. I had the intention to print the return labels before leaving home, knowing that I wouldn’t have access to a printer whilst away, but despite several attempts, the auto email didn’t arrive and it required a phone call to customer service for them to forward me the label. The day before Pickup was due I received an email stating the case would be collected the following day which it duly was. At my destination my case was waiting for me, but was damaged, the hard shell having been cracked. I immediately emailed the company with a photo of the damage but 14 days latter still haven’t received a reply. For the return, no email was received advising of the pickup and it took another phone call to customer service to ensure that it was on the list for collection. It arrived home within the 7 day time limit.
Overall there was far more stress involved than was necessary, and still no resolution for the damage caused.
