Very poor service

My mother in law ordered a sofa and reclining chair in June. Quoted approx 17 weeks delivery but still waiting 6 months later.
Chased in October and said the sofa was on time but couldn’t give a precise date for delivery. Wrote to them recorded delivery on 22 November as the sofa had still not arrived but the company have not had the courtesy to reply.
Unfortunately she has paid the bulk of the cost upfront so we have written to them again today asking for the order to be cancelled and the monies returned.
She is currently sitting on garden furniture, not good for an 85 year old with a heart condition.
Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

We placed our order with Fabb Furniture on 30th June 2024 and the delivery STILL has not been completed.
We placed a large order (not that that should make any difference), for a complete property refurbishment so; 2 settees, 2 coffee tables, dining table and chairs, bed, mattress, 2 chests of drawers, corner unit wardrobe, triple wardrobe and 2 single wardrobes etc.
The sales staff in store cannot be faulted. They most definitely know their products and their customer service cannot be faulted.
Their Head Office staff, however, are just not interested in any after sales issues, they have no empathy with their customers, they have no Customer Service skills and fail to deliver on their promises. I am still waiting for a call back as promised by one of the female team members over 5 weeks ago. They are embarrassingly shocking.
One of the items of our furniture was damaged in transit. Apparently, the company concerned are going to send out a ‘technician’, to replace the damaged part.
I paid for a brand-new product. There are Consumer Rights and Protection in place to legally protect the customer if an item bought is BROKEN or DAMAGED.
But it appears Fabb Furniture don't care about this and are not interested in addressing this with THEIR customer. Once they have your money, it's a simple case of good luck if there are any issues.
Fabb Furniture are clearly happy to do business with companies that are prepared to do business like this and let their customers down time and time again, however, my contract is with the company that have our money - Fabb Furniture and they do not give a damn!
Unfortunately, I cannot give less that a 1 star review, but please avoid this company like the plague!
Note: Not so Fabb Furniture have recently been bought out!

Unacceptable service

This is the second time I have purchased furniture from FABB furniture in 2024, Both times we have been given false promise on lead times, Currently order is 3 weeks overdue, received a call today to arrange delivery and can only offer two dates, Had the furniture been on time we could have been available, We are looking after a terminally ill member of the family and we've had to be really inconvenienced to accommodate the two dates they have, Appalling service they will never have any more business out of me.

Fabb Taking Down Reviews!!

I posted a review of Fabb earlier and surprise surprise it was taken down. Seems to be the way, big companies paying to get reviews taken down, seems Fabb is no different. Reading other reviews that seems to be the case and I have learned this store is not just Northampton based so that makes sense if it is globabl company. I have posted my original review again but made some changes.

I visited Fabb in St James (Northampton branch) last week as I needed a new sofa and bedroom furniture. I was greeted by a girl lets call her B. B did not seem overly interested in wanting to speak to me just rattled off a prepared speech about things I already knew and then said to let her know if I needed anything then disappeared. She went behind the desk and started chatting loudly with a man (well call him S) who appeared to be the manger. They were both laughing, swearing and giggling with each other. Meanwhile, I actually had some questions but B was to busy chatting with her colleague. After I think they realised I needed help so both came out from behind the desk and B gave me an attempt to seem interested in my questions. She left me alone again and as I was leaving I saw S, who was about 20 years her senior, poking and tickling the girl in a very unprofessional way. I left and went to DFS across the road where the service there was slightly better although too pushy. In the end, I ordered my furniture online for much cheaper anyway. This is why retail is dying, if you hire people more interested in flirting with each other then making a sale, internet will always win!

If you dont want things written about your staff, maybe hire staff that actually help instead of being unprofessional with each other and than taking down reviews!!!

Unsatisfactory experience

We were told by the sales manager in Rotherham we would recieve the order at the end of September/beginning of October but it got delivered end of November, now that wasnt so much of a problem. We received one call from the sales manager to say someone from after sales will call us with updates but nobody ever did, when we asked the sales manager a question he never really gave a straight answer - this was an extremely big put off. We called after sales ourselves nearly every week, they were not helpful and were rude. When asked if we could have the order delivered on a day which works best for us (didnt necessarily mean earlier) we were told abruptly "that is the only date available for delivery" instead of saying we can get in touch if an earlier date becomes available. A few days before delivery we recieved a call from a polite gentlemen saying he can get the items to us one day earlier and stated "he is aware we have had to wait a while for the items" - while this was considerate and nice of him I would have thought others would have been courteous too. I dont think I would be purchasing from Fabb Furniture again both because of the sales team and after sales. Customer service could definitely have been better. I would not be recommending, not only because of the delay in receiving the order but mostly because the team are rude and impolite.
Communication and updates could have made the experience better after all we are the customers, unfortunately we were let down.
Thank you to the gentlemen who did manage to get the items delivered a day earlier.
The delivery men were great - they called to say they were 15 minutes away and were very careful with the items.

Does anyone have directors number for…

KEEP AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY Does anyone have directors number for this disgraceful company please? Could people contact me on your issues with this company cause currently in the process of citizen advice and been talking to others that are in the process of Going through watchdog. My parents haven’t got their sofa and promised to refund them and we are still fighting for it. It’s been lies after lies. If anyone could pass on the directors numbers please I’d appreciate it. My dad happened to go in the shop and saw the director and he promised this would be sorted and be refunded and apologised for how they have been treated. No way has this been sorted even from the director. This is going further, Absolutely awful how my parents who are in their 80s have been treat.

Paid £2022 Over 6 Months Later No Sofa or Chair

Ordered Legend power recliner chair and sofa on 29th May 2024, paying £2022.00 with all the extras added on including delivery. Over six months later still no sofa or chair. Phoned Fabb on 15th July 2024 told shipping delays in Suez Canal due to bad weather. Next received email from them on 22nd July 2024 with approximate arrival date of 22nd september 2024. Then Fabb phoned me on 9th October 2024 stating that the cargo ship containing my goods on the way from Malaysia had been bombed so arrival to the UK would be delayed until the end of November. Has anyone else checked with the maritime authorities if this is the case because I am very interested to know if there is a record of this.

Please note that at the time of ordering you are asked to not only sign the invoice but put your initials next to wording that you CANNOT CANCEL OR AMEND ORDERS. WHY? The sales person led us to believe that whilst the chair was available the sofa would take a little longer but not too long. NOTE that the invoice states an approximate lead time of 13 weeks.

So Fabb Furniture what is it? Is the delay due to bad weather in the shipping lanes, bombing or both? Over six months later and £2022.00 spent, not to mention that I have had to go out and buy a chair to sit on because mine was damaged.

The ONE STAR reflects the poor service and non-arrival of goods. I would not recommend Fabb Furniture to anyone nor buy anything from them again. YOU HAVE MY MONEY SO WHERE ARE MY GOODS.

Terrible so called Customer Service…

Terrible so called Customer Service yesterday morning- and I'm still waiting for contact and communication even now! Useless. They don't care about customers.
FABB were late delivering my sofa ordered in August anyway , but we did have a date confirmed for yesterday to receive it.
My wife took a day off from work accordingly because they can't give time slots apparently.
Lunchtime came and I still had no communication at all, so I called them myself for a time.
I spoke to Ben.
'oh yeah. It's not out for delivery I'm afraid ' !
I immediately ask for a Manager, Craig, who suddenly became unavailable and couldn't possibly talk to me.
I ask for a call back asp.
I'm still waiting!

The arrogance, distain and disrespect from so called Customer Service Managers here is disgraceful and embarrassing!

Even if they had just lied and made a story up before my wife took a day off work - then at least she could have rebooked it.

Nothing.
Mistakes happen - but when people like Craig are left in charge - you have a problem.

Do not order

I ordered a sofa, I was told up to 7 weeks delivery, which I didn't mind as I was decorating. After 9 weeks of sitting at my kitchen table, which isnt very comfortable, I sent a email asking what date this would be delivered, I was told another 14 days. Then after 14 days I went to the FABB Store as I still had NOT recieved my sofa, to be told my sofa was on a shipping container and that the staff that was suppose to be emptying these where not getting paid, so no staff or drivers to send it to store, but they told me to look on the bright side as it was in the UK, they said they would contact me in the next few days to keep me informed, but still nobody as contacted me.

Challenger sofa AVOID

Brought a challenger sofa a little under 2 years ago worst mistake

Year 1 report fault with cushions and backrest going flat and all threads going bobbly (Fabb furniture say this is down to usage) 2 adults no kids work 6 days a week- pathetic excuse

Year 2 all arms have collapsed and now they want me to pay for an engineer to visit but be warned it may be put down to usage, if sofa needs replacing and it’s a manufacturer fault they will charge us a usage cost and want us to pay more money for a replacement

Don’t bother with this company the warranty is a shambles and a mockery

I still waiting for delivery

I still waiting for delivery. Only they say delayed twice. So been chase up to find out when it going happen. Can’t remember when order. But they told me that they supposed delivered on October and never happen cos delayed and told me on November then haven’t heard from them till come to their shop to find out what gonna on and found out that again delayed to December. Hope it will gong happen before Xmas, I not going wait any longer. If they going delays again. Probably will cancel cos I don’t waiting any longer. Let wait and see

Do not use Fabb

Ordered sofas in August and still not arrived. Being told not going to be delivered until 2025. Absolutely useless customer service after the sale. Have to chase and still don't get any response

I am extremely disappointed with Fabb…

I am extremely disappointed with Fabb Furniture. I ordered a couch three months ago, and after waiting this long, I still haven't received it. To make matters worse, I’ve had FOUR failed delivery attempts. Every time I try to get an update, I'm met with vague responses and empty promises. The lack of communication and professionalism is unacceptable. It’s incredibly frustrating to deal with such poor service, especially after waiting for so long. At this point, I feel like I’ve been completely ignored. I would not recommend Fabb Furniture to anyone based on my terrible experience.

Disappointing product knowledge

Sales man was polite enough but lacked product knowledge. We had to investigate the corner sofa structure ourselves to work out if we could have the layout we needed. We were told and it was written on quote that the lead time on the sofa was 7 weeks. We ordered on 24/09/24. It’s now 9 wks and after chasing up with head office they have said the sales person should never have quoted 7 weeks when others have been waiting 16weeks so it’s highly unlikely we will receive it this year! There were posters up in store too back in September saying order now to arrive before Xmas. We also wanted electric headrests which at time of viewing were possible with the configuration we required, when placing order told they weren’t available unless we had a console section added which would be a further £500! We have also been sold gliders (£45) for the feet as the sales person said we could slide the sofa back and forth easily to clean behind it. We’ve since found out these will not work for a corner sofa they are for recliners only so a total waste of our money. We are very disappointed, particularly with lack of communication from the company regarding the extremely long lead time.

Avoid delivery

Different delivery dates each time we called, delivery was an absolute joke, turned up in battered van, they had not got a clue how to deliver furniture thank god my husband was here, tried to take packaging off in the street which would of resulted of scraping the furniture on a rough wall. No respect when inside home did not offer to remove or cover shoes, take to each other in their own language RUDE!
Has to keep reminding them to watch what they was knocking into, put screws on glass table top just not delivery drivers NEVER AGAIN, paid a lot of money for furniture and delivery, very good sales people don’t tell you you risk having your furniture and property damaged.

Go somewhere else

They supplied a sofa which was out of manufactures tolerance, tried to repair it. When they couldn’t fix it then said that it was not a manufacturer defect.

This is all after the product was late in delivery, when ever there was any contact it had to be us that called them.

They will probably reply to this review apologetically to make themselves look better than they really are.

I would just like to add having a member of their staff accuse me of fraud by taking a measurement that they couldn’t bother to turn up to do was the icing on the cake.

Bad warrenty

My suite was delivered December 2023 in september I contacted FABB because the chair seat had dipped to one side they sent a person around to see the chair and he said that it needed a new cushion and he went away. On the 19/11/2024 I received an email saying that they were not going too renew the cushion because in their words I sat on it too much, please tell me how you can sit in a chair to much. I would not recommend the company to anyone who is thinking of buying anything from this company.

JUST DONT BOTHER BUYING FROM THEM GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Sales guys in Rotherham store brilliant cant fault them they would have a 5 star review, but as for the rest of my experience so far they are lucky the company have got 1. 15th November 2024 should have had my sofa delivered but thanks to them using a delivery company (Humber Services based in Wath) with rubbish reviews 16 of us customers didnt receive our delivery. Fabb head office have made no contact with us to keep me informed with whats happening until today 21st November to re book a delivery for the 28th November which is their priority delivery services apparently. i have made all the contact with them and even contacting humber services too to try and find out. They do not give any compensation or gestures of good will for the crap service they have provided so far and haven't been helpful in any way.
In a nutshell if you want to buy a product from them and expect good customer service and delivery service then dont buy from here as you wont get it.

AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!

Good at selling useless at customer service

Salesman was really good. Order placed for beds and sofas. Beds on a 3 week delivery, sofas 13weeks.
Beds arrive 7 weeks later! I refused them due to poor build quality. They told me they would replace urgently, I phoned again 3 weeks later still no eta! Asked to cancel and was told not possible! Do not order from this company, I have had no contact from them I do all the chasing! They took my money and I’m still waiting ! These were purchased for my 80 year old parents who are waiting to move in but waiting for furniture!
