WARNING DON'T DO IT

This place is worse than going to a loan shark even if you buy insurance if you get laid off it only last 1 year and comes with hidden fees a good example 12.50 per day interest every day after loan date . They don't tell you you can add to your bank account to pay as bill . Do yourself a favor don't apply here for anything

The warm reception was great

The warm reception was great. Krunal was patient in explaining everything to me and in answering my questions. He was always ready for my calls and ready to serve in person. My experience was smooth didn’t waste much time

What a great experience to deal with

What a great experience to deal with! We had Rachel at the winkler mb branch and she was very helpful and great to work with. Answered all our question and had our money in no time! Highly recommend calling her and dealing with her. Was stress free and easy. Would recommend her 100%!

An Unreal Experience

I opened an account in December 2024. A week later the account was 'frozen' due to a 'fraud' investigation. I contacted customer service MANY times to figure out what was going on, and they ALL told me they could not answer questions and told me I would have to wait until the investigation was over. This went on for months and eventually I gave up calling.

Fast forward to January 2025 (over a year later), and I received a text message stating I could raise my credit limit if I wanted.

Again, I started phoning Fairstone.

After speaking to five different people, my account finally became unlocked and the rep apologized profusely. The representative stated that because my account was locked for over a year, it was not my fault the account garnered interest without being able to make payments.

Now here we are, WEEKS later, the interest rates have NOT been credited, I have phoned over TEN times to speak with a manager and to have the interest rates credited, NO ONE has phone me back AGAIN, and I was JUST told on the phone that if my account becomes overdue by 60 days, it will go to a collections agency and that being late on payments is affecting my credit.

I have been calling to have a manger phone me for WEEKS. I have had many different reps submit 'requests', to have Managers call me, and yet NO ONE has phoned me. I am CURRENTLY on the phone AGAIN, with ANOTHER rep who states he will fill out a request for a call back within 3-4 business days.

This is the most UNREAL customer experience I have ever been a part of in my entire life. 0/10 for this business. My next step is to contact the MEDIA.

Loan

They have been calling that I can increase my loan with them I finely wanted to know how much more I can get so I went with it. After giving them my info that they asked for They said oh sorry the system declined your increase. Well than why would you keep calling me and telling me that I can increase my loan. Very disappointed.

Questionable Service

When I first reached out to Fairstone, the representative I worked with was great and very easy to deal with. She made the process straightforward, answered my questions clearly, and the loan was completed quickly and efficiently. I truly appreciated how smooth the initial experience was.
However, after reviewing my loan documents more closely, I noticed that additional charges for Disability and Life Insurance were added to the loan. At no point during our discussions were these optional products clearly explained to me, nor was it communicated that they would be included and financed as part of the loan amount. They appear to have been added without my explicit knowledge or informed consent. I found this to be extremely concerning and, frankly, deceptive.
I have since requested that these insurance charges be removed. While I was advised that they would be taken off, I was also informed that my biweekly payment amount would remain the same, with the explanation that I would simply pay the loan off sooner. To better understand the impact, I requested a detailed amortization schedule or spreadsheet outlining exactly how and when the loan would be paid off under the revised terms. Unfortunately, I have been told that this information cannot be provided to me. I find it unacceptable that I am unable to obtain a clear breakdown of my own loan repayment details. Transparency and full disclosure are essential in financial agreements. I expect clear documentation outlining exactly what I am paying and when.
So buyer beware

Ripped off!

Unfortunately, FAIRSTONE tagged on 2000$ to my 8000$ loan after the loan expired after 18 months. I was reviewing statements and September 2025 and February 2026 suddenly showed 2000$ more owing and no email!! I had no idea that I was dealing with Mafia interest! I would not recommend this bank to anyone!

Amazing Costumer service

My wife and I have been Dealing with the Trenton Branch for some time now and have always dealt with Sarah and it is in my opinion that Sarah is an absolute joy to work with amazing costumer service highly knowledgeable caring and committed we would recommend that Branch to anyone thank you Sarah and Team for all you do
