Big NO to Fanola products

This is my fifth time I have used their hair straightener and previously the results have been good. However this time the product simply did not work and I am left with my frizzy hair untamed. I am extremely disappointed and have written many times to their customer service with response that they are looking into it, but I have not had a satisfactory reply. I asked if I should have it done again or if there is a product of theirs I can use to smooth my hair, but they have declined to help me so far. I am very upset as it cost me a lot of money, plus I have had to have my hair cut as cannot cope with it longer any more. Dont use their products. Customer service does not exist, and their products are overpriced and not good.

Not for me!

Purchased the smallest size shampoo and hair mask. Reviews were really good and apparently great at reducing yellow tones in hair. I have natural silver hair with some yellow tones. I applied shampoo for one minute and conditioner for only 30 seconds (recommends up to 5 mins). My hair after was nice condition but my silver hair was darker with blue tinged roots and the yellow was still obvious. I'm glad I didn't leave any longer as I think I may have gone either purple or blue toned. Purchased based on reviews and price.

FANOLA NO YELLOW SHAMPOO

The Fanola No Yellow left my hair so dry it was like straw. I did use Oplex conditioner afterwards, but it made no difference. I will say that I do have dry hair, so perhaps this product is just not suitable for people with dry hair!

No orange shampoo - Very good.

I have very fair skin and nearly white blonde eyebrows.

When I was very young my hair was a natural blonde colour but then when I grew up into a teenager. My colour went a really dark strawberry blonde/ginger colour.
Because of my skin colour and eyebrow colour, I've always felt I looked a bit odd. In my opinion my hair did not suit my skin colour.

When I was young adult and free and had no kids I had my hair done at the hairdressers.

However I have children now and all my money seems to go on them.

My skin is a bit random. One day it can be like Ok I'll accept that product and then on another day I will get a reaction. I especially get reactions to bleach dyes.

I have spent years looking for the right product for my scalp and I have not found anything.

I found a semi permanent colour in morrisons and that worked. However there was still a lot of orange/red/ginger tones in which I am not too keen on.

I was very cautious with the no orange shampoo as I was afraid I may stain myself blue with how fair I am.
I did tiny bits at a time and it did take me some time to do my hair because it is thick and long but in the end I did it.

The shampoo made the semi permanent more blonde.

However It did not take away all of the orange/red/ginger out. It lightened my own natural colour. I'm hoping that over time that I will get the right mixture to get a more blonde look.

I would recommend and purchase again because it's the only product I have found that lightens my own hair colour without any reaction.

When I dye with a semi permanent colour my roots are still quite visible but with this product because it lightens my own roots up you can't tell that I have two different colours.

Be careful where you are using this product. At first I did mine at my fireplace and then was like oh no I have managed to get tiny flecks on my white marble fireplace so I quickly cleaned that off.
Don't wear nice clothes either. Wear something that your not bothered about getting dirty just in case.
Also it does stain your hands hence why you where gloves but I paid extra attention to my head as well making sure no blue stayed on my skin for any length of time in case it stained it.

Update: So after using the no orange shampoo.
I decided to trail the no red and no yellow shampoo on my hair.

I tried the no red at first which I thought would completely take out all of the red in my hair.
But It did not really do much If I am honest.

I had a lighter blonde colour in my hair that has always stayed from a previous colouring. The no yellow made my blonde brighter but did not do anything for my own natural colour.

If you are a strawberry blonde and you don't like the ginger/red/copper/orange tones in your hair and want to achieve a more lighter colour the no orange shampoo is the best one to go for.

Please note that it will not completely transform you into a blonde.

My suggestion is to use the no orange shampoo for a while until your hair is a lot lighter. Then use a hair dye on your hair that will brighten it up to a blonde.

You can always use the no orange shampoo after you have dyed if you still have oranges tones in you don't like.

Please be aware that if you over use and you all ready have bleached or a lighter blonde from a previous dye. Your hair will turn blue.

Only use the product at once a week at max.

As a salon owner and stockist I find…

As a salon owner and stockist I find that this company sell on there Amazon page , so for example the hair color mask on Amazon is £8.85 And cost price I buy from fanola is £14.15 , that’s a whopping £6 cheaper than what they sell to trade . Without salons recommendation to this product , you wouldn’t have a business. So you need to get your priorities right And sell to trade the prices you sell on Amazon and a bit cheaper than that so we can make a profit !! I was a stockist but after seeing this I will be changing

Best hair products I've found!

My weak, fine, balayaged hair was a total mess and straw-like but Fanola products saved it! I first ordered a leave-in conditioner and loved it so much I ended up getting a shampoo, mask and a split-ends cream - now my hair looks alive again, has shine and volume and I can brush through it.
Delivery is super fast as well.
Plus, the milk protein mask smells sooo good!!
In short, I'll be using Fanola for all my hair needs.

Update of previous review

Update: you'll be able to see an angry review below after a terrible week of deliveries gone sideways. However, Fanola Official UK proved to me that good customer service still exists, and that I should not judge retailers by the poor actions of other retailers. As mentioned below I purchased 2 products. Yes, they came from Australia, yes they were held in customs because they needed clearance, and one of them didn't arrive because was an aerosol sent via Courier. But as kindly explained to me by a kind customer service representative, this is part of the growing pains of expanding to the UK and be able to serve UK customers. Customer service is still being managed from Australia, but putting aside the time lag, it is prompt, accesible and friendly. I thank Fanola Official UK for the prompt resolution of my ordeal and wish them the best in expanding to UK.

My honest experience: DON'T BUY FROM HERE!!

My honest experience:
I thought these people were UK distrubutors. Purchased two products, next thing I know I receive an invoice form Fanola Australia. After that everything went sideways, DHL holds my products in Heathrow at this moment because they have only one mobile as contact here in the UK, and a warehouse in Manchester. Long story short: they'll abandon you once your order hits customs.
